"Yes, but as long as she still breathes, she has a chance." She deliberately withheld mentioning what she saw in the girl, the possibility should she live. It was just as much for herself that she cast it aside from her mind. Ikora was battle ready and focused solely on this women before her with tunnel-vision.
She could feel the Sith drawing in the force and likewise begun to do the same. Continuing her gait towards her opponent she said, "Mercy," she considered the word before reaching out to speak more privately with the Sith 'And how do you think the Padawan would react to such mercy against a child, yet alone the Jedi?' She paused to let the worse sink in, and to also consider the subtle brutality in her own words, 'Sometimes we must do what we don't want to do.'

Ikora continued to walk forward, getting closer and closer, becoming readier with each step, surer of the battle to come. She mused "And you would let us leave?" Though she didn't consider for one moment on taking the Sith up on that offer. She affirmed this, "My better senses are exactly what forces my hand now. I will not hold you responsible should I fall, if it is the will of the force then let it be."
Ikora stoped 6 feet away from the Sith and asked, trying to see what lurk beneath that mask "Tell me your name?" She wanted to know who she was facing, in case either of them died today. She would want to know who had killed her or who she had killed. Battle was not a senseless thing, in her mind she truly believed that is was the only way to stand for a cause wholeheartedly and thus the highest form of expression. However wrong that cause may be, they were acting out because of something.

She waited for the answer to come and then initiated the duel. Immediately she stepped forward with two swift strikes, quickly readying herself for a counter attack.

"This is only going to pinch a bit," Lanna said.

She had put her light saber back on her belt, and was digging around inside her bag, hastily. Hands shaking, she fished out a little tube with a syringe on the end.

"This is medicine. It's going to make you feel much better."

She continued to snap the tube, making the contents inside turn to liquid. Then she removed the cap, and went to press it down into the little girl's leg. With a deep breath, she did just that. After squeezing out the tube, the contents were in her blood stream, and she would be feeling instant relief. It was strong stuff, after all. Typically you were not supposed to give it to children, but this was no typical situation, and Lanna was running out of options.

"Okay, there is one way we are getting you out of here, and it's not going to be easy."

The girl's eyes started to shut until she fell asleep. Perfect.

The young Jedi then took a few patches from her medical kit, and pressed them around the girl's wound. She had to keep the blood from flowing, and these bandages were supposed to work wonders.

Carefully grapping the girl under the shoulder, she lifted her onto her back. Lanna winced, wondering just how back she was hurting the girl. Whatever that may have been, in the hands of a Sith, the child would have been as good as dead.

Hands under her patient's legs, and leaning forward, she sped walked towards the ship that would be coming for them, away from Ikora, and their Sith invader.

The Jedi's verbal riposte was not entirely unexpected. Their kind often clung to the slimmest hopes they could find, a disgusting lie which she refused to abide herself. In the face of utter hopelessness there was but one solution to her mind - death before desperation. So many people in this galaxy were quick to bend a knee at the foot of any master if it meant they could forestall the inevitable. And they were miserable wretches all. Watching the Iktotchi move forward, Mila blinked beneath her helmet, her armor concealing all but the most obvious reactions to the mental intrusion. Shaking the sensation away though, she maintained her composure to answer. "Your Padawan would do well to learn these lessons now, before the same fate can befall someone she truly cares for." Her retort may have felt somewhat empathetic were it not for the mental barrier she coldly slammed in the Jedi's mind a moment later.

The Iktotchi stopped, a matter of mere feet separating them as she all but felt her eyes piercing her. She asked for a name then, coaxing a thin sneer to the Sith's lips as she briefly considered her reply. "Visari." She spoke eventually, blunt and straightforward as her gaze roamed momentarily to the Padawan and her work with the injured girl. Her attention lingered for but a fraction of a second though as Ikora dashed into an attack, initiating the duel rather abruptly.

Mila's reflexes responded with near automatic precision, parrying the Jedi's sapphire blade aside as she gave but a sliver of ground, her feet shuffling backwards to outmaneuver her enemy's strikes. She didn't give the Iktotchi much time to rest or contemplate though as Mila lunged back with her own attack. Balls of her feet digging into the loose silica beneath her, a burst of energy from the force coursing through her muscles, saber clenched tightly in both hands, she brought her sanguine blade forward in tightly controlled arc aimed for Ikora's mid section. It was hardly the most inventive use of her lightsaber, and she would be rather remiss if her duel were to end so quickly. The Sith was just getting started with these two trespassers, some morbid part of her wishing to play with her quarry for just a moment or two. If for no other reason than to break the crushing ennui that had been slaughtering hapless villagers for the past hours.

Visari was quick but Ikora didn't expect any less from her opponent. The Sith seemed well versed in combat, she held her ground and did not leave many openings as her blade-work was tight and efficient. And immediately after Ikora's attack, Visari dug into the ground and lunged forward with the aid of the force in her motions, sending the red blade curving downwards. Deliberately avoiding the locked blades, Ikora glanced the blade aside while she angled her body to properly avoid the blow. Then as she directed the sanguine blade towards the ground, Ikora suddenly slid her blade up along it's length in a quick strike, her wrist flicking at the end of the motion to aim at Visari's face.
