"Yes, but as long as she still breathes, she has a chance." She deliberately withheld mentioning what she saw in the girl, the possibility should she live. It was just as much for herself that she cast it aside from her mind. Ikora was battle ready and focused solely on this women before her with tunnel-vision.
She could feel the Sith drawing in the force and likewise begun to do the same. Continuing her gait towards her opponent she said, "Mercy," she considered the word before reaching out to speak more privately with the Sith 'And how do you think the Padawan would react to such mercy against a child, yet alone the Jedi?' She paused to let the worse sink in, and to also consider the subtle brutality in her own words, 'Sometimes we must do what we don't want to do.'
Ikora continued to walk forward, getting closer and closer, becoming readier with each step, surer of the battle to come. She mused "And you would let us leave?" Though she didn't consider for one moment on taking the Sith up on that offer. She affirmed this, "My better senses are exactly what forces my hand now. I will not hold you responsible should I fall, if it is the will of the force then let it be."
Ikora stoped 6 feet away from the Sith and asked, trying to see what lurk beneath that mask "Tell me your name?" She wanted to know who she was facing, in case either of them died today. She would want to know who had killed her or who she had killed. Battle was not a senseless thing, in her mind she truly believed that is was the only way to stand for a cause wholeheartedly and thus the highest form of expression. However wrong that cause may be, they were acting out because of something.
She waited for the answer to come and then initiated the duel. Immediately she stepped forward with two swift strikes, quickly readying herself for a counter attack.
