~ About ~

The Beginning

Megeshi was never seen as much more than an average girl. Born to a lower-class family on Mirial that she has long forgotten (or at least tried to), even her apparent Force sensitivity was nothing to write home about in a Mirialan society. Raised initially in a strict and traditional manner, Megeshi was sent to work at a young age, assembling basic utility droids and working with spare ship parts. She despised this. While the job was interesting, the work was gruelling and Megeshi felt it draining her. She decided she could not live this way much longer, and the final straw came when she returned home one day and was subject to a tempest of rage expelled from her father. He claimed that Megeshi had not been working hard enough to sustain their family, and he raised his hand to strike at her. In a sudden moment of pure emotion, Megeshi produced a blast of Force energy towards her father. Stunned, shocked, and filled with even more rage than before, he fell backwards onto the floor with a sharp thud. Megeshi, spying her chance, burst out the door and ran in whatever direction seemed like it would take her the furthest from her former home.

The cold, dry deserts of Mirial were not forgiving, and Megeshi knew that she would not last long. She was unarmed, under-equipped, and getting hungry. Her sprint slowly turned into a jog, then a trudge, and then a crawl. Megeshi could feel the emptiness of her stomach, and the exhaustion in her limbs, and she started to think she couldn't make it any longer, until a strange vision appeared in front of her. A man in hooded robes, slowly approached her and she felt her exhausted limbs raise into the air before her vision completely faded as Megeshi fell unconscious. The next thing she knew, she was floating in a bacta tank aboard a medical freighter.

The Rise & Fall

Confused and somewhat dazed, Megeshi stumbled out of the medical room and into the cockpit. and clumsily wobbled into a man of huge stature. He gently held her up to help stabilize her and explained his position as a Knight of the Jedi Order. He had been tasked with finding a Padawan, and decided to travel to Megeshi's home of Mirial after hearing of the Mirialan race's natural affinity to the Force. Upon arrival, he felt a strong connection with Megeshi through the Force, and promptly travelled to her location, until he found her wandering through the desert. The Jedi went on to say that although he saw that she was untrained and somewhat immature, he sensed great potential in her, and asked her to become his Padawan. Megeshi, realising she now had nowhere to return to, somewhat reluctantly accepted his request, though over time she would come to appreciate this new way of life. She travelled around the galaxy with her new master on many missions as he gradually but assuredly taught Megeshi much about the force and its power. Some of these teachings echoed her parents' primitive spiritualist lessons in traditional Mirial religion, which brought her some trauma when thinking about what had become of her father. However none of this trauma could prepare her for what was to come.

Upon a particularly challenging mission on the corrupted wasteland of Oba Diah, Megeshi and her master were ambushed by a group of Pyke Syndicate loyalists, hidden beneath the dense mist and shaded by the towering obsidian hoodoos of the mountainous planet. Megeshi's master sensed the disturbance a few seconds ahead, and warned Megeshi to start running. Soon, what seemed like almost a dozen mercenaries descended upon the pair. Although Megeshi's master was very skilled and certainly talented in melee combat, the sheer number of powerful gunslingers overwhelmed him, and he was soon shot down by the Pykes. Megeshi's world completely flipped at this moment, and the only true family she had truly known, her mentor, had been savagely murdered. She had no time to think in the moment, just to force-pull her master's lightsaber into her hand and run for her life back to the ship. Luckily she escaped the planet's orbit unscathed physically, but psychologically she was broken. She wandered through the galaxy for a long time, questioning her morality and the truth of the Force. Megeshi was tempted by the allure of the dark side several times, but after seeing a vision of her master in her sleep one night, she was convinced to return to the Jedi way of life.

The Future

Megeshi decided that the next step towards Jedi redemption would be the construction of her own lightsaber. Her master's was a fine weapon, or tool, but a true Knight of the Order created their own weapons. She travelled to Ilum to delve into the kyber caves. After searching, she came across a deep blue crystal (likely representing her slight moral instability) that she felt a connection to, and promptly pulled it from its icy holster. Megeshi's experience as a metal worker from her childhood served her well, as she fashioned spare parts from her master's hilt and other pieces of scrap metal lying around her ship into a double-bladed saber of her own design. Instantly Megeshi took a liking to the elegance and flourish of using a double-bladed weapon in combat, and began to experiment in using force telekinesis in conjunction with her lightsaber, force-holding and spinning the weapon with speed and precision that would prove unobtainable if simply wielded with one's hands.

Upon returning to the Ajan Kloss Jedi Academy, the masters of the Order agreed that Megeshi had held her own in the face of adversity when confronted with the death of her master and her struggles against the dark side, and she was thereby granted the title of Jedi Knight. As newly appointed Knight, Megeshi was granted some extent of freedom in her next steps as a Jedi. She eventually chose to continue training in the field of combat, but soon realised she would need to travel deep into the galaxy to find real experience, and so Megeshi began preparations to begin her journey as a Jedi Knight...

The Character

Although a Jedi, Megeshi has only a loose grasp on her emotions and can be fierce and intimidating at times, usually when passionate about something. This has proven both a blessing and a curse, and though her emotions saved her from her father as a child, if she lets her emotions go uncontrolled, it could lead to dark side corruption. She likes to speak her mind and is sometimes misinterpreted as a bluntly truthful person. Fortunately, honesty is valued highly within the Jedi Order. Megeshi often thinks carefully about the decisions she makes, and evaluates every option presented to her. She has become more determined and hardworking in her goals thanks to the many struggles and challenges she has overcome, and intuition has always been her strong suit, always having a clear goal when the path forward may be ambiguous. She has some skill in technological assembly and repairing droids and/or ships, though any other form of education has been sparse throughout her life, excluding Jedi training.

The Equipment

Megeshi's main equipment includes:

Double-bladed lightsaber
This standard, although somewhat crude lightsaber was fashioned together by Megeshi from metallic parts of many different sources, including her master's lightsaber. This saber uses a single kyber crystal with a dark blue colouration, likely representing Megeshi's struggles between light and dark.

Jedi Robes
Simple, standard-issue Jedi robes of a darkened colour, as is common with Mirialan Jedi.

YV-560 Scout Freighter
A light scout freighter developed by the Corellian Engineering Corporation, and provided to Megeshi by the Jedi Order as a way to travel around the galaxy.

With the first event of the timeline in progress, we are just reaching a point where the Jedi Order is discovering the existence of the Sith Eternal, or Dark Sided cultists. This part of your biography will need to be amended as their encounter with them would alter this storyline. I would suggest a run-in with one of the organizations that comprise the Five Syndicates as an equally challenging test for her to face.

Please make the appropriate changes and tag me for review.

@MatureContentWarningx thank you for the feedback! I have amended references to cultists and instead changed it to the Pyke syndicate which I thought was more appropriate, especially since they have a bit of a record with killing Jedi lol.
