((OOC: Feel free to hop on in, but I'm going to limit this to two other writers. Don't want the thread to slow to a halt.

The earth was damp beneath his fingers. He felt it hugging the curve of his palm, rising into it, full of the quiet vigor of roots, insects and countless burrows. The life of Ajan Kloss glowed silvery-bright in the Force. The flame burnt before his mind's eye, showering the young Padawan with sparks of inspiration, further energy to continue his work, and offering him an unseen ambrosia which he drank down gratefully. Even when his eyes opened, he was still dimly aware of the flame burning all around him, and within him.

His pack of collected firewood lay in the dirt beside him. Whilst the temple had many appliances available for cooking food, he was most used to cooking his own food over an open flame. Dantooine was not a world on which you spent much time inside. The breeze was temperate, the wildlife fairly docile and the views across the fields were beyond description. The perfect dream that farmers across the galaxy yearned for. Cavo carried this same appreciation for the outdoors on Ajan Kloss, and so he continued to build his own fires and camp beneath the stars when he could.

One drop of rain. Two. Dense jungle cloud had flooded the sky. The air had thickened even more so than usual, growing heavy with moisture, dense and cloying. It was not wise to make the journey back to the temple in such a downpour, nor would it be wise to let the rain soak him. He scrambled to remove his cloak, find some suitable branches from within his collected firewood and... there. A shelter propped up beside a boulder, his cloak now a makeshift roof. He took to his meditation again, listening to the gentle pitter patter, the dancing steps of many droplets. The harmony of the forest.

"Blast." Luth Tropam prided himself on being a Jedi who could always make the best out of a bad situation. He had a calm mind, something that helped him get to the solutions that he needed. So when he was walking amongst the fields of Ajar Kloss, he did not expect to get poured on as if the clouds had it against him. He clearly needed to get back to the Temple, but the moment he started his small excursion, he let the Force guide his path before ending up somewhere in the middle of the field. He really needed to stop going into his trances like that, but there wasn't much else to do on Ajan Kloss. He should really take a trip to the Inner Rim, perhaps that'll give him something to do.

Luth's cloak was little help against onslaught of the rain, yet he endured and proceeded towards a forest that he knew would be the quickest way towards the Temple. The cover of the trees did little to relieve the downpour, so the Knight continued making his way through the forest, the newly formed wet mud impeding his progress. Luth was no stranger to the countryside, but this was getting a tad bit ridiculous.

((OOC: Still got room for one, maybe two more!

The quiet rustling of branches tickled at the edge of Cavo's perception, a sound that grew louder and louder until a figure came into view, drenched to the skin but soldiering on toward the temple nonetheless.

"Oi," the padawan called, sticking an arm out from beneath his makeshift tent, "it's only a passing shower! Come and wait it out with me!" He appreciated the company of his fellows as much as he appreciated the solace of the forest. Moreover, it would not be considerate to allow them to make the rest of their journey in this weather. Various ravines opened in random places, concealed by large bushes and oddly placed trees. With this mud underfoot the journey back could be quite deadly if not taken carefully.

Luth was glad he was wearing his leather boots, otherwise he would have already sunk into the ground and promptly planted his face onto the ground. As he walked through the thick forest, he suddenly heard someone trying to get his attention. Looking around, he noticed a arm sticking out from what appears to be some sort of makeshift tent. Barely hearing the voice, Luth opted to get closer to the tent situated next to a boulder. Getting closer to it, he could clearly see that it was made very hastily and not one of those fancy survivals tents you could get off a shop.

"I seem to be stuck in quite a situation here, so I do appreciate the help." Luth said after getting towards the tent, before carefully lifting the cloth up and scurrying under it and inside the tent. "You have my thanks, friend." Luth said, nodding in respect towards the young man. "Any longer out there and I would have turned into a puddle myself." He added jokingly.

"There've been a number of these. Lots of flash floods afterwards, I've watched several friends nearly fall off of cliffs thanks to all the mud. It'll be very treacherous out there in a minute. Don't need you 'turning into a puddle'." He smiled up at Luth as they made their way under the cloak before patting the dirt beside him.

"Sit yourself down and we can wait it out. The rain never lasts long for all the damage it can cause. What were you on your way back from?" Cavo leant back against his pack of firewood, nudging it around until the logs within fell into a comfortable arrangement for him to sit against.

Luth seats himself onto the ground next to Cavo, glad to be out of the rain for the moment. He listened to the males knowledge of Ajan Kloss. He knew about the flash floods, since he nearly spent a good amount of his life here. Though he never really felt the consequences of one. He usually stayed near the temple or his shop, so he had an easy time avoiding the worst of it.

Cavo's question did form an interesting thought in Luth. Why was he here, so far out of the temple? The easy answer is that the Force led him here, but that poses an even more interesting question. Why did the Force lead him here? Out to get nearly washed away?

Shaking the thought away from his head, Luth decided to focus on here and now. "I was coming back from a small expedition to the wilds." He answered. "I've been spending far too much time around my ship anyways, needed some fresh air."

"I always find the air on starships stale too. Recycled through all those ventilators. Round and round and round. It's good that you found a moment to sneak away. Wandering in the jungle is enjoyable." Cavo leant his head back against the rock and closed his eyes. He listened to the rain falling against his cloak in tranquil silence, his expression settling from a smile into something more neutral. Beneath their lids, his eyes were still. It was clear that no thoughts came tumbling out of the rain into his mind.

The Force had nothing for him that day. No advice, no commands, no great destiny to be woven into the tapestry of the world. He sat with his fellow Jedi, and he waited. In that patience he found kinship with the silence of the trees, the quiet mission of the roots that threaded their way through the soil all around them. And here he was, sheltered by a cloak woven from fabric farmed lightyears away. Woven by hands he might never see again.

Luth couldn't help but agree with the man. Despite being a fan of star travel and space ships in general, Luth had to admit that normal fresh air was somewhat underappreciated in this day and age. Some people spend far more time in space than they did out in the nature and Luth was one of them. It wasn't a bad thing in his mind, space was the final frontier and everything, but something had been lost out there. A connection that was still there, but weaker than it should be.

Focusing on his saviour, he noticed the calm demeanour take him over as he felt the Force around him calm and settle down. Despite the loud rain outside, the man still managed remain calm. Much like Luth himself while he's out in space, the man found his center in the environment closest to himself. In some way, Luth could guess they were two sides of the same coin. The man found calm and enjoyment in the wilderness, while Luth found much of the same in outer space.

A comfortable silence has taken place as Luth decided to meditate alongside the man. He took a deep breath and let the Force take him where it wanted. The cloud from which the rain fell and the ground on which upon it impacted. How drops of rain slid across one leaf to another on tall jungle trees. He hadn't done something like this since his Padawan days, but he was glad to return to it. A change of scenery does wonders for a man who basically lives in space.
