LOTR: Shadow of Mordor - Looks amazing

So reading the blurb about Talion being a Ranger and describing his family being killed when Sauron and his army returned to Mordor (implicating that he lived in or near Mordor which is the biggest crock of shit in regards to livable geography Ive had the misfortune of reading. No one but the Ithilien Rangers even dare to tread near Mordors outskirts or Minas Morgul unless they are the Enemy) and being resurrected by a Spirit of Vengence and given Wraith abilities....

The creators of this game could come to me on bended knees and offer me a million dollars to play this game and Id choke them with their own money. Barbarism. Absolute lore rending barbarism.

Although I like the abilities and the time the game is going to take place. I'd have to agree that the backstory of Talion needs to be established more. Heck, Talion reminds me of one of my characters in DnD. I had a multiclass Ranger Sorcerer focusing on mind altering spells and necromancy awhile still using ranger abilities.

TOLKIEN PURISM IS DUMB. IT ALSO WORTH NOTING THAT WE HAVE NO IDEA HOW THE STORY PLAYS OUT. MAYBE TALION IS INADVERTENTLY WORKING FOR SAURON BY INSTILLING THE KIND OF FEAR IN THE ORC RANKS THAT CANCELS OUT THEIR TRIBALISM? MAYBE THE WRAITH STUFF IS SOMETHING THAT HAS TO DO WITH ERU? AND SO ON AND SO FORTH.

THE LEGENDARIUM IS INTERESTING BUT IT IS ALSO LARGELY A LEECHING OF PREVIOUS NORTH EUROPEAN FOLKLORE WITH A FAIR MEASURE OF TOLKIENS OWN LIFE PHILOSOPHIES (AN IDIOTIC AND DOGMATIC CATHOLICISM; A SILLY ENVIRONMENTALISM WHICH WAS MORE INSINCERE AND ABOUT COMFORTABLE MIDDLE CLASS VERITIES, AND OF COURSE CASUAL RACISM.)

HULKERO QUITE ENJOY THE LORD OF THE RINGS AND RELATED WORKS. BUT LETS NOT PRETEND THAT IT SHOULD BE SACROSANCT. NO WORK (INCLUDING THE BIBLE) HAS EVER BEEN.

WITH THAT BEING SAID THE GAME LOOK STUPID FOR OTHER REASONS LARGELY TO DO WITH THE MECHANICS. AND YES THE STORY DUMB. BUT IT DUMB LARGELY BECAUSE IT GENERIC AND BECAUSE IT BUY INTO THE OVERWHELMING PRIVILEGED WHITENESS AND MALENESS OF THE TOLKIEN UNIVERSE.

So he must let the world go on thinking that Prospero is dead, until he can find a way to control the raging spirit that dwells within him.

Except like the movies, the game looks terrible, doesn't fit the Tolkien lore appropriately, and is basically Assassin's Creed with promises that I'm pretty sure will end up being an indirect 'trick' of some sort.
