>This thread is no longer about saber-jousting.<
But that's okay. Because now it's about bashing something that I don't like.

Actually I've never even given the Clone Wars (2d) series much of a try. So I don't know for sure if I like it or not. I'm not a fan of the art style, though, if I had to be honest.

I like the 3D one more, but I recommend the 2D one all the same.

I appreciated the 2D one more. But that might be my nostalgia talking. When that one was out I was still a small kid.

When the 3D series came out I was an angsty tween.

God that puts MY age into perspective. O.o You were probably still in diapers or like, just out of them when Ep I came out.

OH GOD. THERE ARE PEOPLE ALIVE WHO EXPERIENCED THE PREQUELS BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE. OH GOD.

Just getting out of them. It came out when I was almost three.

But my father has really old collector's edition tapes of the Original Trilogy (without all the stuff Lucas added in the "Special Editions" ones, HAN BLOODY FREAKING WELL SHOT FIRST) and so I had ended up watching those with him by the time I was talking. I was quoting the OT in the bathtub by the time Ep. 1 came out.

I dont know how old i was at the time, but the story ive been told is that my mom didnt want me watching it because of violencd or something.

And then they rereleased the OT before ep I came at and we were at the store and me and my dad ended up standing there watching the entirety of A New Hope. So we bought it.

Edit: and Han definately shot first

Actually... in the unmodified original A New Hope?

Greedo didn't even get a shot off. At all.

Han shot him in cold blood.

Anyway, I prefer parts of The Clone Wars more than parts of Clone Wars, and vice versa. Both have their good parts. Like Brandon mentioned Grievous, in where Clone Wars is by far superior, and Clone Wars Grievous was actually SCARY, rather than the coughing cybernetic moustache twirling joke he was in Episode III and The Clone Wars.

But, on the flipside, Clone Wars sadly stayed very true to the Prequels' (Ep II mostly) portrayal of Anakin, making him a whiny glory hog. But in The Clone Wars, they genuinely made Anakin into a decent and likeable character, one that you could actually relate to, and sorta redeemed his character a bit. (Not in the sense of "I MURDERED YOUNGLINGS" kind, but just as a fictional character level rather than the angsty plank Hayden portrayed in the movies)

And this is where my memory of my VHS drops off. I don't remember if it shows Greedo even managing to send out a shot or if the only shot fired is Han's. I don't know the list of changes that were made between original theatrical release and later theatre releases in the same year, though, so.

I wouldn't say Han killed Greedo in cold blood, I mean ol' suckerfingers was holding a blaster on him, that's self-defense.
