[Personality Assessment]
Initially, Leah's personality can be summarized as strict and rigid, while retaining a courteous demeanor to implicate an air of professionalism around her clientele and colleges. She is scarcely seen abandoning formalities around such individuals, and in many cases even her crew. In contrast to her seemingly distant nature, those who are familiar with her know that underneath the surface is a kind soul―though displays of public affection are uncommon. Leah tends to portray her feelings through more subtle actions.

Though a sense of fiery loyalty burns in her heart towards her crew, Leah simultaneously expects excellence from everyone under her protection. Greeting indolence in kind with a stern hand and sharp tongue, it is at the same time tempered with the deep, genuine affection she has for her crew. She doesn't make her crew carry out chores or actions that she herself would not do as well.

While not above the ideas of smuggling, petty theft, extortion and other illicit endeavors, Leah refuses to accept―and forbids her crew from accepting―contracted kills. Although hostilities towards herself and her crew from others will be reciprocated, she outright refuses to kill unprovoked.

[Historical Assessment]
[floatleft]http://i.imgur.com/6rgnPum.png[/floatleft]Born in 999 ABY, in Qaestar Town on the planet of Talrus, Leah had a fairly standard childhood.

Her father, Vincere Caldwell, ran a small store that had been in the family for several generations. A well-respected member of the community, many of the thugs and other swaths of criminals left the man alone. Part of his earned respect among the syndicates was the housing of smuggled merchandise, while his respect among the townsfolk stemmed from being a generous man. He was frequently active in many of the town's community events, and helped many people get by whenever he could.

Unfortunately, his daughter would not follow the same path.

Lacking a maternal figure, having been told her mother left the family after a dispute about assisting the smugglers, Leah lacked the gentle touch of soothing voice a mother often provides. The first few years of Leah fulfilling her father's station went smoothly, but the natural air of curiosity and desire of exploration was inevitably breathed into her. Feeling an ever growing presence of discontent swelling inside of her, it wasn't long before Leah would leave on her days off to explore the town. It wasn't long before she found herself enthralled by the local criminals, and was quickly folded ino their ranks.

Receiving a relatively smooth acceptance, the girl picked up naturally on many of the ways of an illicit lifestyle. She developed an innate desire to look for trouble―and often found it. Her years with her 'gang' taught her the concepts of loyalty, to which she held firm, and elicited the necessity to maintain formalities and proper behavior when dealing with people who were both higher on the food chain than you, and those who would employ your services. She became one of the best, most well respected members of the group she had found herself a part of.

Unfortunately, it once again wasn't long before Leah felt the same discontent with her group that she had felt when running the store. Running the small scale jobs solely on Talrus wasn't fitting her need for trouble. She needed more. Wandering the outskirts of the town, Leah discovered a graveyard for old ships that no longer functioned correctly, or others simply no longer wanted. It was there she discovered the husk of a ship that would inevitably become The Iron Will.

Still close with her father, she approached Vincere and requested his assistance in restoring the ship. While initially hesitant, he caved to his daughter's requests and supplied her with funding to restore the ship. Divulging to only her most trusted friends among her gang her intention to leave, she received assistance from them as well. Her plan managed to escape the ears of the syndicate leader until the day she finally left, but not before bidding farewell to her father and her friends.

Since then, Leah has roamed the galaxy, taking jobs from anyone and everyone. She owes her loyalty only to herself, is constantly looking for more trouble, and more people to take into her new 'family' aboard the vessel.

I like her! I feel like the Name Police or something but using the same name as the girl in the pictures and going with the no mom angle might be a bit too similar, but I think there's enough difference in personality from your character and Leah from D3 that it might not be as much of an issue.

I actually wasn't familiar with the character aside from the name. I know she's from Diablo 3, and I liked her name enough that I kept it, but everything else about her (such as her history or what her personality may be like) is lost upon me. I wouldn't mind just popping a different name in there, considering she hasn't had any real development yet.

Leah is a pretty awesome name. I think she's different enough from the D3 girl that you should totally keep it! I can't even criticise anyone with a Jinx gif in their sig anyway, you've found my weakness.

Considering you have what appears to be Lilith from Borderlands as your avatar and in your signature, the feeling is wholly mutual.
