Solus Flight Suit

Flight suits normally are little more than sealed jump suits to protect against the natural dangerous of space travel. This suit was passed down from Kotii to his son Hauron or rather, Hauron took it from his father while he was imprisoned. Kotii and now Hauron has customized his to be more in line with his heritage and personal tastes. Boarding actions and ship to ship combat are what he has in mind when wearing this flight suit. In case his ship becomes damaged or he need to hop over to a new one. This is what helps him last in the vacuum of space. It is a relatively heavily armored suit compared to many other armored flight suits used by common spacers. Most often Hauron's Mandalorian flightsuit lacks armored protection for the back of Hauron's thighs but that is simply because it can be discomforting to sit for extended periods of time. If expecting a boarding action, he will suck up the discomfort and opt for more armor on his legs and just be a bit grumpy, taking out any frustration on his enemies.

LEGALITY

Mostly legal. Mandalorian armor, though rare, is not illegal in most places. That said, wearing a full face helmet in public spaces is frowned upon, and often illegal in many core worlds, especially in or near government facilities- not to mention that many identification cards in various systems require a full face photo. This drives many strict adherents of "the way" to operate exclusively on the fringes of the galaxy

INTENT

A personal armored flight suit for Kotii Hauron when he's in space. I intend to also use it to track any personal changes or upgrades maybe.

Functions

Function 1: Mandalorian H.U.D. (helmet)
  • After recent innovations from MandalMotors, the Mandalorian company had designed their own hud interface in order to better combat force-sensitives and provide more utility for Crusaders in the field. The Mandalorian hud is the combination of vision modes, a survival hud, and a scout hud with easy switching between the different settings. The biggest upgrade to the interface is the use of the scout hud and vision modes simultaneously for better information-gathering capabilities. The controls can be programmed onto a gauntlet or helmet for easier access.
  • Force User Compatible?: No
Function 2: Mandalorian Iron Lungs (helmet)
  • With combat on a variety of planet surfaces, the Iron Lungs were created, a combination of both a filter and rebreather. The device was built into the base of the helmet and near the mouth region, eliminating the typical bulkiness with the attachments. Because of sensors installed, it could automatically detect the presence of water or other substances to allow automatic switching between the two functions. The Rebreather lasts for about 4 rounds while the filter is still susceptible to caustic damages..
  • FC?: No
Function 3: Life Support Box
  • Life support boxes are emergency gear designed to be worn in conjunction with other safety equipment, such as vac-suits and rebreathers. The device can be manually activated via a switch on the chest box, but most also automatically engage when exposed to vacuum. When activated, the device projects a small mag-shield "bubble" around the user that is just strong enough to contain a tiny amount of livable atmosphere. Life support boxes double the protection provided by vac seals and rebreathers- however, without other protective gear, the life support box itself provides only 3 rounds of protection from the elements. It also contains a high power distress beacon that the broadcasts the pilots precise coordinates to any ship within a parsec. The distress beacon can be manually deactivated, and can broadcast for much longer time than its wearer can survive.
  • Force User Compatible?: Yes
Function 4: Armorweave Accessory
  • Most often in the form of a heavy cape, skirt, or underlay beneath armor, armor weave provides some protection against the penetrating effects of shrapnel from explosives and other unpowered high velocity impacts, with only a small amount of bleed through damage (bruising or very minor wounds). It offers no protection against kinetic impact or energy, vibroweapons, or similar "powered" weapons. Having more than one accessory (example: Cape + underweave) provides no additional effect.
  • Force User Compatible?: Yes
Function 5: Mag-boots
  • Magnetic boots contain electromagnets in the soles and allow for enhanced movement on ferrous surfaces in microgravity or steep gradients. This functionality must be turned on or off manually by a button or switch.
  • Force User Compatible?: No

Mandalorian Vambraces

Function 6: Energy cord launcher (left arm)
  • With the war effort growing and conflict with force-sensitives more prevalent, MandalMotors made an improvement upon an iconic design for their purposes. The Energrycord functioned much like a Whipcord but fired a yellow energized line that was lightsaber resistant for a few seconds and could ensnare/restrict the mobility of a target up to 7 meters away. Because the cord is energized, it will zap the target to interrupt the concentration of a force-sensitive and slowly fatigue them the longer they remain constricted within it. (The same effect as a light stun bolt each round a person is ensnared.)
  • Force User Compatible?: No

Function 7: Repulsor (right arm)
  • Originally designed to counter combat with force sensitives, this tool is able to project a strong repulsor field replicating a Force push. It projects up 10 meters and its limited power cell only allows for 3 uses before it needed changing. The repulsor has significant recoil and the wielder must carefully brace themselves before use- both to ensure accuracy and to prevent the user from being knocked over themselves or having their arm torn from its socket.
  • FC?: No
