"I just don't understand..." Izel said as she followed her master into the seedy Nar Shaddaa cantina. "How could a Toydarian of all things overpower you?" Master Reev was red in the face, either enraged or flustered beyond comparison, the Padawan couldn't quite tell. "I told you-" He started to snap back at the young Vratix angrily, but caught himself and tried to speak more calmly. "I told you. He didn't 'overpower' me. Toydarians are... crafty..." He averted his eyes and rubbed the back of his neck.
"I see..." Izel replied, still a bit confused. "Well... Don't worry Master, I'll help you get your lightsaber back. I have a few choice words for that rotten thief..." Reev immediately interposed himself between Izel and the private section of the cantina where they were walking to. "No!" He exclaimed. "No, no... thank you Izel that's unnecessary. Uh, I got myself into this mess. I can get myself-"
"There he is!" A hulking Cathar laughed as he emerged from the back room and clapped the Jedi Knight on the shoulder. "The loser's come back for more eh? Did you remember to bring your sabacc handbook this time?" Reev smiled and laughed uncomfortably along with the Cathar before looking back to Izel. "I'll be just an hour or so I swear," He insisted. "Just relax, enjoy yourself. You take your studies too seriously kid." He turned and started to follow the Cathar into the back room.
"But..." Izel started nervously. "That's an order!" Reev called back to her. "Consider this your training for the day! The famous Jedi 'killing time' technique! Master it!" With her master gone from view the Padawan sighed and turned around, suddenly lost in the crowd of strange patrons. She had never seen so many different types of aliens in one spot. For once the Vratix didn't stand out. Well, not too much anyway. Slowly she made her way across the brightly lit room, cringing slightly from the loud music, antennae twitching as she felt the emotions of all those in the room. So much going on! She didn't understand how these people could take it. Well, she had to find something to do with her time. She had no intention of letting her master down, even if she was beginning to doubt the legitimacy of his story about being robbed...
