It was an average day on the planet of Tatooine: sweltering hot, with an abundance of smugglers, pirates and other shady characters meandering around the city of Mos Eisley as they always did. One questionable character however, was secured away inside of one of the nearby cantinas, one seat filled among five other empty ones. Her thumb swiveled along the rim of a half-filled mug, containing some sort of low-end liquor that the human didn't care enough to know the name of.

It was Leah Caldwell, the captain of the Iron Will.

Tacky jazz music dominated the room, intermingled with muted and hushed voices and laughter from the other patrons. While they were here for much more recreational reasons, Leah was here on business. Today was the day she had designated for the gathering of hew new crew to house her ship, and carry out jobs with her. After years of scouring, she felt like she had finally managed to gather a substantial crew that would be willing to give themselves her unwavering loyalty. Promised with the tantalizing dream of credits aplenty, and a life among the stars, she had no doubt all of them would show up.

Still, given the relevant safety of the catina, the woman couldn't help but feel on edge. Her eyes flitted nervously, examining every patrol they fell upon critically. She watched for the simplest of things; a stray eye, a subtle gesture in her direction. While it was likely that no one here had a bone to pick with her, the captain could never be too safe.

Idle fingers intertwined themselves between one another, and Leah's thumbs towered up into a steeple on her hands. She had one of the service droids on standby, ready to approach and take orders as soon as her guests arrived. All of the drinks and food were on her, a sort of way to "entertain prospective business partners." She had the credits, and the food and drink here, as good as it was, was still pretty cheap. Now all she could do was wait with a critical, examining eye, and hope they all arrived soon.

Of all the traits she had, she had never considered the fact that she could lift heavy things to be the one that would draw potential employers. At least not anything besides menial low-pay grunt work, that was. So when she had gotten the offer initially, she had been inclined to think it had to be about some sort of dirty work with this just being a good cover - which meant she had done some digging to try and find out everything she could about this Captain Caldwell. Her search had not turned up much on the shadier side of the galaxy, which was what now lead her to believe that the offer was simply what it was. A way off this hot desert planet and to make some decent credits as well, and all likely without being shot at or having to shoot someone in the back of the head. It was almost too good to be true, which usually meant there was a catch. Sometimes the catch was up front, other times well hidden. This one had the feeling of the latter, but she had to at least go and see what the woman had to say. If she got a good feeling from her, this particular Atuutani was just down on her luck enough to sign on up.

Perhaps it was telling that she showed up at the cantina with a footlocker clasped firmly by two strong hands. She was seeing a way off this rock and would be hard pressed to actually turn it down, she knew, if it was actually being offered. She stepped inside the cantina and dropped her footlocker with an ominous 'thud' next to the door, out of the way. She ensured it was locked before turning to scan the room, seeming quite content to leave the trunk just there. It was with good reason as well, as it happened to weigh close to a thousand pounds due to the equipment inside of it, though that wouldn't be entirely apparent other than the loud sound it had made when dropped. There was a heavy blaster pistol strapped to her right hip, but no other weapons on her person.

It took only a moment for her bionic eye to scan the crowd and locate the Captain among the patrons; she waited a few moments longer anyways just to fully assess everyone else in her view. Once certain that none of them obviously meant her harm or were eyeing her locker she started moving through the cantina. Her small frame was covered in simple clothing; she did not really stand out in a way that made it almost seem planned. It had more to do with her current lack of credits if the truth were told, but she wasn't keen on telling it. What money she had went to maintaining her expensive weapons and putting food in her belly. With that thought in mind she came to a stop in front of the table of the one she had marked out as Leah Caldwell, a polite bow offered in greeting though her face remained completely emotionless, as it always was. "Essaru Ashloru." The greeting was soft to the point of barely being audible over the general noise of the Cantina, and it was all that was offered on her part. The woman knew what she needed to about Essaru as far as she was concerned; anything more she wanted to know she would ask. It was likely clear that Essaru was not big on talking, to say the least. She stood quietly waiting for a greeting from the Captain, though she would take a seat if it was directly offered to her.

Jedadiah had been offered a rare opportunity. The captain of the Iron Will had approached him to join her crew. She had been nosing around the planet asking about good mechanics and muscle for use on various missions about the galaxy. He had jumped at the chance. She had told him to meet her on Tatooine in a rather run down cantina.

He had made his way to the planet by way of public transport, wedged aboard the ship with his belongings and several hundred others. He left the ship on Tatooine and made his way to the rally point that she had directed him to back on Eriadu.

The door wooshed open as he entered the establishment. His eyes quickly scanned the crowd and came to rest on the captain he had agreed to join, Leah Caldwell, and another woman he had not yet had the pleasure of meeting. He stepped forward to the table, "Good afternoon, Captain," he directed to Leah, and "Mam," he directed to the other woman.

He sat beside the Captain awaiting the rest of the crew she had put together.
