[Interest Check] Sharp Kajidic/Family

Ok so this is something that I'm curious about, given that soon some badass things might be happening in the Cartel.

Not sure how much I can divulge so I'll just say that Insoulent and the gang, from what I understand, have exciting things planned. That mixed with the conflicts of the timeline, between the forces of good and evil, show great story potential.

But the reason I posted this was to gage how interested people would be for a certain change to happen. Right of the bat I want to say that this isn't some power grab on my part and that I have absolutely nothing against the way Cartel operates and moves forward, or the faction staff. While I was the first FL of this wonderful faction I am of the opinion that it was under Matt's and Kev's leadership that the Cartel truly exploded in popularity and content. They've both done great things and what I'm discussing here is just an idea and is by no means set in stone.

So we all know that the Cartel is led by the Lordas, Hutt NPC's who control everything and are under the control of Borga. The one exception is of course Jack Tamblyn. So my question is. What if Yuri decided to either create his own family/clan/kajidic or took over a major one and renamed it? Would your character be willing to join him in this endeavor?

I don't know where the Cartel will stand in the war, will it be with the Rebels or the Empire, what I do know is that this kind of change would be a major one for the Cartel, but I know that a leader is only as strong as the people who he has by his side. I think that Yuri has the reputation to assume a position like this, and now actually has the motivation as well.

So I guess I'll stop there, but please do tell me what you think of this idea. Do you like/dislike it? Would you be interested to be part of the story if it eventually materialized. Don't worry, I'm a big boy and won't get my feelings hurt if you feel that this move is somehow bad for the faction.

this sounds very interesting =O it would be interesting to play out/read the aftermath of this endeavour since the hutts weren't particularly happy with Jack leading a kajidic XD, so i'm in the "maybe" section for now

I couldn't see the Hutt NPC leaders supporting another non-Hutt commanding a family to be honest. It would become the "Human Cartel".

IC Yuri is not exactly seeking their permission. If he decides to make his move, the question is which Kajidic would he go after?

And I'm pretty sure if the staff and I collaborate and create good stories, everyone will have a blast actually influencing the Cartel. Besides we all know that all the Hutts fear/respect Yuri, so he might as well be one of the big bosses officially.

I appreciate the support and welcome it. But let me make it clear. Yuri isn't taking over the Cartel, yet lol, but he would go after one major kajidic. So he wouldn't be fighting Borga.

I know. I just meant that my fuzzy gladiator doesn't look right for this. Besides, Yuri knew Evaar (but would he remember his voice?) when he was Maxx Thrall and was blonde with short hair and no facial hair.

I was actually planning on seeking PC's out for Borgas kajidic, including Arkantos/Elohim, I was gunna reach out to you and ask about Yuri so I guess this is the next best thing. What do you think about that bro?

I'm sorry bro, if we had talked about it a few weeks ago who knows, but right now this is something that I'd like to see through and discuss with the staff, and have you involved as well obviously. Whether it means Olec, Slick or an alliance with Borga I'm open to see how it develops.

I'm also pretty sure I can count on Zane Galla and Arok the Hutt for this one. Just saying.

I also want to make it clear that any forceful takeovers would only happen if a certain faction story line [that I cannot share before the FL does] would happen. Yuri isn't doing this to raise an army just to see them hurt.

He would be loyal to the Cartel and always have its interests at heart, serve it loyally like he always has, but no one would touch his kajidic. *PLOT TWIST* Today on Maury.... Aura's DNA tests are in, and the father is....

Anyways, I think this would breathe even more life into the Kajidic system. I really feel that the Kajidic system is what makes the Hutts fantastic - were the Imperium to institute a Moff system based off the Kajidic, I'm sure non-Sith Imperial activity would sky rocket. Seeing Yuri attempt to shake up the Hutts seems logical, also. I do hope Matt is open to the idea, rather than against it, and can work to make it benefit the Hutts as a whole story-wise.
