The Order of the Canted Circle, was and is, a canon organization that people such as Darth Sidious and his dear mentor Plagieioiueoieoios was a member of. However, it fell into obscurity after the death of the Emperor. I have reworked it a little, and would like to see if anyone would be interested in signing on, and breathing life back into the group as it restarts.

Here is what I have currently:

The Order of the Canted Circle
Founded in 1,000 BBY the Order of the Canted Circle was once a prestigious and powerful organization whose influence and power extended across the Republic and then into the Galactic Empire. With members such as Hugo Demask, and later Palpatine himself, the Order embraces people from all walks of life, provided that they are successful, either politically or in monetary terms.
Serving as a meeting place for the elite of the Galaxy, the Order was renowned as one of the few unaligned institutions of the Galaxy to survive the fall of the Republic after the Clone Wars, serving a vital role in the politics of the Empire. Following the death of Palpatine, it returned to its old roots, serving as a meeting place once more, before the rise of the Sith Order. It has weathered many a storm, and always survived to tell the tale.

Structure, Regalia and Ranks
The Order is made up of two ‘Circles’ the ‘Inner Circle’ – consisting of senior members, decision makers and the like – and the ‘Outer Circle’ which consists of apprentices to the Inner Circle members, whose members fulfil miscellaneous duties for their masters.
Inner Circle: The governing ‘unit’ of the Order, and made up of approximately five-hundred persons. The regalia of the Inner Circle consist of a black robe, with a fur mantle and a large medal over the heart, with council members also wearing large chains of office.
Grand Master: The chairperson of the meetings of the Order, and the ‘leader’ of the Order.
Warden: In charge of the buildings and ceremonies of the Order.
Whip: In charge of the members of the Society, and ensuring loyalty.
Secretary: In charge of the administration of the Order, its meetings and persons.
Treasurer: Oversees and manages, with the aid of Stewards, the finances of the Order.

Deacons: This rank makes up for the body of the inner circle, and they attend meetings, and may be delegated responsibilities for work outside of the Order.

Outer Circle: The ‘Limbs’ to the Inner Circles ‘Brain’, the Outer Circle is made up of approximately 1,500 persons. Its regalia consists of a light blue robe, with stewards donning a red mantle, and Tylers a white one.

Steward: These members are often apprenticed to inner circle members, and are soon for promotion to their ranks.
Tyler: Ordinary members, these persons perform guard tasks, however they may and often are allowed into meetings, but their word doesn’t carry as much weight as Deacons.

Membership and Leadership
The Order is by invitation only, and only a dozen new members are invited in every decade, making it a great honour to be accepted. Naturally the Inner Circle lead the Order, electing officers – as specified above – for life who act as figureheads for the group within the lodges. All members are required to pay a hefty membership fee each year, to contribute to the running of the organization.

Public Role
In the public domain, the Order exists solely as a ‘Honourable Company’, with many seeing its members as ‘Old Guard’ and ‘Snobs’. It is a charity, and raises enormous amounts of money for numerous educational trusts across the Galaxy. Its members often sit on the boards of school, universities, companies and in seats of government, and the Order itself runs numerous youth events on the home planet of its main Lodge. On its home planet it is a great spokesperson for the planets businesses, and acts as the official representative body of the planets economic units around the city in which its Lodge is based. Becoming a member of the Order is seen as a great honour amongst the elite of the Galaxy.

Private Role
In the private domain, and known only to the members of the Order, the true goal becomes clear. The Order exists to further its own aims, and therefore controls companies and governments, acting as mentors for the Galaxies leaders and elites. It offers membership to the rich and powerful, and lobbies governments several times a year. Behind all the pretence, it is a powerful organization.

Guards
Formed entirely of the members of the Outer Circle, the Orders Guards bear the name, and descend from the Orders former military wing ‘The Sun Guard’. Whilst currently bearing little resemblance to them, bar their arms and armour, the guard form a ceremonial defence unit whilst the order is in session.

Assets
As shown above, the Lodge of the Order is its main asset. It consists of numerous meeting rooms, and a main meeting hall. It has a landing pad at the rear of the building, and is surrounded by a high Gated Wall, which is guarded by cameras and physical guards. It functions as a meeting place, a little else. The lodge is located on the Orders home planet of Sojourn.

History
There once was a time, back when a young man named Palpatine was aspiring to Galactic Glory, that the Order held sway over the entire Galaxy, and the great and the good waited decades to be admitted into its august company. Alas, these days are no more, and with the collapse of the Empire, and the resulting Vong Wars, the power of the Order waned, and weakened once more.
With the rise of the resurgent Sith Empire, the Order found itself further weakened, with its junior lodges across the Galaxy wiped out, and cut off from them. As such, the order collapses, until only its original Lodge remained. A new master was elected, who steered them away from Galactic Politics, so as to keep their enemies at bay, and returned them to their routes, a ‘Gentleman’s Company’, an Order of those who had ‘Performed Great Service to the People of the Galaxy’.
Numbers swelled once more, and the Order became known as a ‘Worshipful Company’, with all trace of its former, and more shadowy past deleted and forgotten…

Membership

Anyone can sign up, and at this stage, we will start at the top and work down, filling council seats first. If you join at this stage we will count your character as having been a member for over twenty years, and therefore loyal to the Order.
Signs ups are simple a link and a brief ‘Why I want to join’ paragraph. You will then be added to the roster.

Intent
This ‘Society’ at the current time is little more than a bare bones group, without direction. It is not powerful, it is not rich, and it simply has history. If people want to see it return to its galaxy spanning influence glory, then they will need to work at it, from the ground up. This faction is built for that purpose, the get players working together to rebuild a ‘faction’ that in lore terms, was historically very powerful.

I agree, I'd even be willing to make another PC for this, but I'd also be interested in having my rebel [thread=60980]Hira Senshino[/thread] secretly be a part of the group.

It sounds like something my Sith Rhasru could do, if double memberships of this kind are allowed. I'll have to think a bit about a backstory for that.

I'm assuming this faction is neutral in the major conflicts within the galaxy. I ask cause I want to make sure that the members will consider loyalty to the Circle above that to say the rebels or the sith order, don't want Hira being killed by one of the siths mentioned above.

The reason isn't holding the loyalty to the Circle above that to the Sith, but you can be assured that Rhasru, at least, wouldn't kill her.

Loyalty to the circle come above all others, they would swear loyalty upon joining.

Naturally, it's a player driven faction, so if a player character wanted to betray the order, then they could, however there would be concequences for such a betrayal. At the 'starting stage' however I cannot see a reason why anyone would want to kill a drinking club.

Hm. Possible Joy's blood mother and father were in it and she is sought to join as a new / young member? Otherwise i'll just clap from outside of the order. XP
