Uhhhhhh, sweeet..

Taruna could totally work with that. "Now, imagine you're there. Imagine the river being not made of water, but of your thoughts." Can you see it?

"Now, imagine you're there. Imagine the river being not made of water, but of your thoughts."

Aeryun was
already picturing herself there, but when Taruna said, "make the river into thoughts," it pulled her out of her mind a little. She would suddenly image the blue water turning into words and phrases. "Uh....I don't think that's right," she said aloud, but to herself. She tried to image what Taruna had meant by those words, but all she could picture were floating sentences in the water.

She then took a deep breath trying not to let herself get frustrated. Instead, she tried a different approach. She imagined herself sitting by the lakebed, her feet in the water. Aeryun began to picture the water as a viewing screen. She imagined herself how she used to be, before the Jedi. She really couldn't picture an image of her current self, she had no idea what that looked like. It were
entirely possible she wouldn't even recognize the person she'd see in the mirror anyway.

Aeryun poured her thoughts and feelings into the water hoping to pain some sort of imagery. She added the love for her family, her new friendship with her Jedi friends, and finally the feelings she carried for Anthoni. Suddenly that was all she could think about. She imagined his voice, his aura, his smell. She put all the things into the water, but they did not overwhelm her. In fact, just the opposite happened. Aeryun started to let go of the pain and the sorrow he'd caused her. Somehow, she felt better ridding herself of him. Taruna would likely feel this sense of freedom coming from Aeryun.

The Chiss sat face to face with the Norrian, sititng on her knees, her feet under her behind and her hands on her knees. With open, red glowing eyes she waited, monitoring Aeryun's progress carefully. Sure, her words confused her as was to be expected, but she swiftly found an alternative and thus glanced into a more peaceful area. After a few breaths, which were as calm as her partner's she spoke softly now "Good. You are making good progress. Do you see a way to sort the things? Bring them into correlation? Make connections to things happening in the past?"

"Good. You are making good progress. Do you see a way to sort the things? Bring them into correlation? Make connections to things happening in the past?"

Aeryun would listen to her advice as she peered into the river in her head. Although it seemed random and disoriented, Aeryun could see that there was a path. She lifted up her hand, or rather imagined herself doing so, and began to move the water into different streams. She placed the past in the past; her new memories with Taruna came together in a stream all of it's own; and lastly, she had a line just for Anthoni. It was the largest, because her feelings were so strong for him. But then she started to close down the strea, She remembered the times both Anthoni and Taruna were together. Those memories she pulled into Taruna's first stream. Then more and more. Soon Anthoni's line was so small she could barely read the images in her mind. Taruna's path lit up her river.

Almost monotone she would say, "Take out the bad, keep the good."

Aeryun would at this point feel the other Padawans hand on her, vlapping it to drag her outof the Trance she was about to enter and her slightly terrified red eyes locked to Aeryuns. "That... Was not the best way," she almost whispered "you where close to alter your own memory. That does only have short term benefits an would come back at you with a vengeance.Trust me, i've seen that. Do not go any further, but the start was excellent"

Aeryun awoke with a start as the river and the forest fell from her view. She was back at the ship and suddenly felt very cold. She sensed Taruna's worry and felt a little afraid herself.

"That... Was not the best way...you where close to alter your own memory. That does only have short term benefits an would come back at you with a vengeance.Trust me, i've seen that. Do not go any further, but the start was excellent"

"Oh," she would say quietly. "I hadn't realized. I'm..sorry." Aeryun wasn't even aware of what she was trying to do and the fact that she could essentially erase memories from her head was scary to her. Had Taruna not been there she might have forgotten Anthoni all together. Sure it might have sounded good at the time, but Taruna was right. Nothing good could come from that.

Taruna could see the puzzle parts take their places in Aeryuns head, and gave an consoling smile upon her face "The Force can do even more then you imagine, the only question is how much and how you dare to exert yourself. The mightier the thing, the more it costs. The trick is to keep the balance"

Aeryun would nod and try her best to give a smile too. Since Taruna's mood seemed to get more comforting it would make Aeryun's relax along with it.

"I will try to remember that."

She'd then stretch and get off her seat so she could stand and face Taruna.

"What else can we work on?" She seemed so eager, but it was no surprise that she was tired and running low on energy.

"For now? Sleep, my dear. And tomorrow we will repeat what we started today until i can be certain that you can proceed the training even in my absence"

Tarina smiled up at the eager Norrian "i'm just a Padawan myself and stil have so freaking much to learn. But I promise, when I make it to Knight some day in the distant future, I will teach you whatever you wand and can be teached. That is if you are not already a Master, with your learning speed"

Aeryun would nod and then let out a yawn she didn't know she'd been carrying. "I suppose you're right."

"I'm just a Padawan myself and still have so freaking much to learn. But I promise, when I make it to Knight some day in the distant future, I will teach you whatever you wand and can be teached. That is if you are not already a Master, with your learning speed"

As Taruna spoke, Aeryun lifted her saber to her hand and would walk back with it in her hands; occasionally she just liked the feel of it alongside her. She needed that right now because Taruna's words, although sincere, made her a little sad. "I have so much to learn too. I don't think I'll ever find a master. No one would be interested in me anyway. You don't have to settle with me just because we're friends. I know I'm weak, and I wouldn't want to hold you back."

An unvoluntary laughing was the immediate response, coming from the lips of an only slightly more trained Padawan. "Stop belittling yourself. You just steered clear of that pillow there without thinking or seeing. And the force is strong with you, as is the ability to learn quick. So stop whining and walk with your head raised andback straight to your bed, shoo" she supported her shooing by waving her hands and a broad smile.

She would wait for Aeryun to skedaddle and spend a few minutes thinking. There was once someone like her, strong in the Force and without correct guidance, who fell to the dark side way to easy and only was redeemed by his own death. Darth Vader.

Deciding that she would do everything in her power to prevent this from happening, she went into the refresher and straight to bed. Yes, she could meditate and not sleep, shortening the time of rest drastically, but sleep was something very nice.

It was true that Aeryun could walk and run without difficulty, and that still came as a surprise to her every now and then. It was almost like people had to remind her that she was blind; which, of course, she hated. But she couldn't be mad at her friend so she left the training room and headed up the ladder to the bedrooms. She set her saber down on the table across from the bed and then crawled under her sheets. Kicking off her clothes she relaxed with nothing more than her undergarments and would try to recount what had happened that day. It only lasted for so longer however because her body had other plans. The little Noorian was soon asleep.

~=Time Jump=~

A week passed where Taruna and Aeryun spent their days repeating the same lessons time an again. It was spiced with the occasional shenanigans, conversations and rest times.

Sitting in her usual position, Taruna eyes Aeryun intensely, since she seemed to have the meditation part as well down as the Suresu. The Jedi Code Aeryun already answered in her sleep when she felt Taruna passing by, so there was no doubt the essentials were present so far. As it seems, Aerun would be a very fine padawan in almost no time, and she felt joy and a tiny hint of pride in the noorian's eagerness to learn.

As Taruna was about to congratulate her, the set timer went off. They have reached the destination and would have to leave hyperspace quite soon. "Excellent" she exclaimed, rubbing her hand and shoving Aeryun to the right with her will close to the degree where she would either have to stop meditating or simply fall over "We can go shopping. That will be something interesting!"

While their week went by, Aeryun found herself getting into a total prank war. It started with Taruna turning off the ship's water while Aeryun was still in the shower. Aeryun got her revenge by emptying all the liquid bottles into unmarked ones. Only Aeryun knew the order. What she thought was milk, Taruna would find to be highly acidic juice that left quite an aftertaste in her mouth. This went on for awhile until Aeryun "accidentally" washed her green flightsuit in with Taruna's underclothes, turning them all green.

Aside from the pranks and laughs and playful death threats they shared, the training took up most of their days. Aeryun was learning fast, and was always eager to move on, but Taruna held her back until she got it just right. When they finally came to the alarm Aeryun snapped out of her trance.

"Excellent...We can go shopping. That will be something interesting!"

She almost fell over on her pillow and would giggle at her friend. She tried to kick out at her but missed since Taruna was already on her feet. Aeryun got up herself and would take off the blindfold she liked to wear. She followed after her friend and would ask, "So any idea what kind of ship you'll want to buy?"

An interesting question, indeed. What ship to buy? There was enough spare metal to actually build a new ship, twice over, but what kind of new ship she would do was not clear to her right now.

"I was thinking of a used fighter fast and nimble, easy to replace since the last ship was one of a kind and thus not easy to repair." she admitted, still steering towards the bridge to get the ship out of hyperspace in time "But on the other hand, a small freighter would be probably more affordable and a little more to my knowledge of flying it. Also, it would have the capacity for guests, and after I flew so many years with only my master as company.." she smiled a little sad "I think I will get some more life into my.. uh, life What do you think, Aeryun? Fighter or Freighter?"

Aeryun thought about it for a moment in silence as she followed her friend. "Hmmm....Let me see." She pondered and poked at her chin. "I say, the bigger the better." She would raise her hand into the air and point to the ceiling. "No one would dare mess with the powerful and dangerous Jedi-duo then!"

"I see," Taruna chuckled and brought the ship out of hyperspace, since they arrived at the cockpit "A freighter it is then."

Checking the course, the Jedi Padawan smiled. "it is exciting to meet another padawan, training the basics." And then a idea struck her. Suddenly she whirled around and grinned broadly "What would you think about a Deal? Whoever of us gets Knight first will take the other as Padawan?"

The Idea was great in her mind. Sure, Taruna had a tad more experience, but Aeryun was also a quick learner. So if she made Knight first, Taruna would have something to learn from her.

"I see...A freighter it is then." Aeryun plopped herself down on the seat and twiddled her thumbs in her lap. Taruna would then continue, "It is exciting to meet another padawan, training the basics...."

Aeryun shrugged. She wasn't sure how she'd take to meeting new people. The only three people she knew were Taruna of course, then two others who were lightyears away. What if the other Jedi looked down on her? What if they didn't think she was good enough? What if they didn't respect her because she was blind or refused to train her because they thought she was handicapped?

"What would you think about a Deal? Whoever of us gets Knight first will take the other as Padawan?"

Aeryun looked at Taruna for a second, then stared back ahead of her. "Do you really mean that? We both know you're going to get promoted first. Are you sure you're not just going to forget about me?"

Now it was the piloting Chiss's time to pout, at least she gave her best by trying to pretend to do so. "How could I forget about you? We just spent a awesome week together, I still owe you for my expensive undies, by the way and are about to start our journey." she then sighed a little looking up at Aeryun. It was never really possible to foresee the future, but there would be for sure as many dark times coming to her as sunny days. But at the end of life, what you did with it mattered, not how you wanted it to go. So she decided to cheer her new friend up a little "Sure, we will not be able to be together all the way to knighthood but I do not doubt even a tiny bit that our ways will intertwine way more often than normally. For beings as you, friends tend to be circling back to you quite often. I'm certain of that"

"How could I forget about you? We just spent a awesome week together, I still owe you for my expensive undies, by the way and are about to start our journey."

Aeryun wasn't going to lie. They had quite the week together. Both on the way up and now the way back. Taruna taught Aeryun so much and she never thought she could repay that favor. They had the beginnings of a great friendship. Aeryun, however, still doubted that it would last. Once they split ways, who knew how long it would be before meeting up again? The galaxy was a big place after all.

"Sure, we will not be able to be together all the way to knighthood but I do not doubt even a tiny bit that our ways will intertwine way more often than normally. For beings as you, friends tend to be circling back to you quite often. I'm certain of that"

Not sure what she meant by friends circling around her, Aeryun just shrugged. It was a great coincidence that Anthoni had found them on the space station. Wasn't exactly a pattern.

"Alright," she would say, coming to her decision. "Whoever gets there first will train the other until they catch up." Aeryun held out her hand for Taruna to shake, making it official. "Deal?"
