Dathomir wasn't a vacationing spot and it had damned near killed him the last time he visited.
The Dark Side was freshly powered around the planet and every step was amidst death, decay and destruction both past and present. It was a horrible place and, so, it was probably one of the worst places to actually be in the Galaxy if you were a Force Sensitive who didn't follow the Dark Side. Dathomir was difficult for Light Siders because the very atmosphere seemed poised against them.
Created the odd sensation, like you were holding your breath and stuck, perpetually, in that split second of instinctive panic and fear before you were forced to take another breath. Like that but all the time when actively using the Force.
It was a horrible place and probably one to never take a Padawan to if it could be avoided - or unless it was a lesson in waiting. Which it totally was right now, probably much to the dissatisfaction of Rao Jor.
"Breathe it in Rao!" he instructed the Padawan in a tone that was far too cheery, patting the young man on the back heartily, "That right there? That's the sensation of a planet that Really doesn't like the fact that we stick to the Light."
He chuckled a little bit as he led the Padawan to a small plateu not too far from where he had landed the ship. Max gestured around him.
"What do you know of Dathomir, kiddo?"
