Force Absorb[Class A]

Oh no.

"You aren't kidding, are you?" Cotan asked, completely incredulous as to Adonia's command. "I can hardly defend myself against a watermelon thrown at my face, and you want me to protect you from lethal force?"

 

[Darius]

"Exactly, when the need is dire would you turn your back on an innocent because you believe your no prepared, being a Jedi is the understanding of mercy, and the wisdom to know you will not always receive it, life as a Jedi is and will never be convenient,better you learn that now then when it is far to late." Adonia replied looking over at the padawan sensing his doubt, and his frustration. "Do not fight the flow of the force within you, let it envelop you, there is nothing but the force, there is noting without the force, we are all connected. Droid 003 Fire." As the droid shot at her the entire scene slowed down for Adonia, the blast as so powerful that it caught her hair in a breeze, she did nothing but slow blink her eyes as the deathly bolt flew towards her chest.

With a somewhat startled yelp, Cotan leaped in front of Adonia, his lightsaber flashing out to catch the bolt just fired, deflecting it into the floor. The next two bolts to come at him were batted into the ceiling, the last sent into a pillar nearby.

"If I said 'please', would you never do that to me again?"

 

[Mistress]

Lutomi cringed at the display.

"Master Amiri?" Lutomi was nervous for asking. "Maybe a group meditation session would help." It always helps her when someone leads her into a visual expectation of what she is required to sense through the Force. Jumping in to this particular skill might not be the best choice. But not every Instructor prefers to lead a meditation before their class. "I would find it beneficial."

 

[Liam]

Techaro was able to absorb a few more blaster bolts, although he could not summon them out of his hand like he had done before. The original shot that he had sent out of his hand had drained a lot of out of him, and he became very tired. The idea of a meditation was a welcomed change to him. He could use that time to regain some of the energy that he had lost during the training.
"I think that a group meditation could be very beneficial for everyone," he said quietly, although by everyone, he mostly meant himself...

 

[Darius]

"Very well...come join me in a circle, I will show you what you need to see."



Adonia made her way back to the center of the room, there she knelt and waited for her student to join her. "Calm your storms, I sense the frustration in many of you, it is not uncommon this skill is extremely hard for many Jedi, feel for my presence and cling to it, I will open your eyes to the world that is and will ever be."Adonia herself took her time entering into her trance, but once she was ready it would be hard not to feel her, "I want you to concentrate on your own heart beat, listen to its rhythm how it connects with eh rest of your body, how every beat is a spark of life that allows you to live form second to second, this is much like our relationship to the force, it is our lifeblood, force sensitive or not,we are all connected, the force is the heart of all being." Adonia explained sure that they would be able to see what she was talking about. "Now I will ask you to reach out a little further, feel the hearts of each of us in the chamber, feel the connection that we all share, our affinity to the force..."

Giving a relieved sigh, Cotan walked over to join Adonia, turning his lightsaber off. He'd barely been able to deflect that first shot in time, let alone all the others; the fact that he'd managed it at all was worthy of being called a "miracle". As he knelt and tried to calm his breathing, easily aware of his heartbeat - it sounded about like a Gungan warrior's drum in his ears - he slowly began to reach out towards Adonia, and the others.

 

[Liam]

Techaro welcomed the meditation as he walked over to where the instructor had knelt. When he sat down, he closed his yellow eyes and began breathing deeply. The quiet was very comforting for him, and he had to shake his head to make sure that he didn't fall asleep. As he began to concentrate, he heard the beating of his own heart. It was slow, rhythmic, and the the constant beat relaxed him. He felt his mind submerge into the force around him, where he began to extend himself to the those around him.

 

[Mistress]

Lutomi met with the others and relished the time to try and grasp what was needed to be done.

Finding herself a place to focus her senses, Lutomi knelt by her classmates and joined them. She centered herself at first before finally reaching out. It made the room feel even bigger to her than it truly was. She felt tall, and yet minuscule within the vastness of the galaxy.

She knew that to be able to truly feel what she needs to perform, the skill with be easier to attempt to master.

 

[Darius]

"Good...very good, I can feel you all process a certain degree of skill in regards to meditation." preparing herself to take the class further to the point where the student needed to be. "Now follow me out even further, follow the same connection you have been feeling all along." The vision now was of millions of blinking lights shining in time in a single heart beat, "Feel the existence of the living things below, they are connected to the force just as we are, this is what you must realize, we are never alone."

 

[YOLT]

Hunter, still absorbed in his exercise, felt the room shift a bit, and powered down the droid and lightsaber. Seeing now the rest of the class was in meditation, he joined them. Settling his mind easily and reaching out into the room, it now looked to him like a security hologram. He could see the entire room and its occupants with ease. Then he stretched out further as instructed, for he bypassed blocking out the rest of the world when meditating, and the sight was breath-taking.

(Sorry for neglecting posting and for the shortness of the post. 6 hours of sleep doesn't make for good posts)

The world formed through a Yantra. Everything warped into a unity. This usually took Lutomi a longer time to achieve on her own. It is still something she is avidly working on. While she can be calm during a challenge, to achieve and remain in a true meditative state would be the ultimate goal. She managed to slow her breathing to one minute for each completed breath.

The Instructor's voice took on a visual form that sent ripples out over the room. The light wove throughout everything..

 

[Darius]

"Now..." Adonia sighed as she began to back out of her meditation state. "You see what I always see, this is the connection that makes the art of absorbing energy possible, its the connection that makes the great feats of Jedi long past a reality. For example Jacen Solo who some of you may known as Darth Caedus, was perfectly attuned to the force, so much so that she was able to walk into a room and see the past, present, and future. He used this power to do great things to not only protect the order but all living things, he also used this power to torture Jedi to the dark side by forcing them to relive their greatest failure over and over until the point of madness, this man teaches us two things. That thorough the connection to the force all things are possible, and that no matter how hard we cling to the light of the force we must always be vigilant in our personal battle with our inner darkness, now some say Jacen Solo turned to the dark side for all the right reasons, but that is a lesson for another day." Adonia stood up and reattached her saber to her belt.



"Now young ones, return to your stations and take what you have just learned, grow in this new found wisdom to attain your goal, may the force be with you."

 

[Mistress]

It felt relieving. It was enough to clear out performance jitters. Lutomi clung to the focus. She realized that she hadn't been sleeping well enough since the Jedi were called to high alert. She wished the intense focus would never end for her.

Lutomi rose, not parting from her meditative state. She returned to the area of the training room which she had originally occupied. She wanted to try just one more time. Lutomi signaled the droid at the same moment she rapidly drew her Lightsaber. One bolt immediately fired, the blast ringing loudly within the room. Lutomi successfully drew the bolt in, and with the flick of her palm, shot it back at the droid which caused it to short out in a series of flying sparks.

"Hmm," she nodded pleased, strapping her Lightsaber to her utility belt. She turned toward the instructor again. "Forgive me, Master Amiri," she said with a bow, "I just had to take the opportunity to experience it." Her face was beaming.

After the short meditation, Cotan felt slightly more settled, calmer, and certainly more centered in the Force than earlier he'd been. So he drew his lightsaber, the blade of the weapon flashing out as he stepped over to his training droid. Keeping his focus more on the Force, than on any shortcomings he might have - or even the physical world - Cotan signalled for the droid to fire.

After one success, Cotan knew what was needed to draw in the bolt - and just what he wanted to do with that energy. He caught the first bolt on the tip of his saber's blade, drawing the energy from there into his body - where he then used that energy to flood his body with the rejuvenating and empowering energies of the Force, enabling his blade to flash along without err in either speed or precision to the next three, repeating the process with them. Done with that volley, Cotan simply let the energy he'd gathered dissipate from him into the air around, marginally heating it up for a moment.

"Well," he began, speaking mostly to himself, "I think I've found a way around my problems here."
