So since Sythe is pretty much out of the fight... do I still post??

There's been a report filed on the last post. Please refrain from posting until the pvp team gets to it.

First, the effects of the concussion grenade is a nonissue. The symptoms resolve completely by the third posting round per the tech rules, and this is the fourth.

As for the timing, you've both messed it up.

@Mithias your character's actions are going to take time, they're not going to be instantaneous. 1) Seeing an arm motion 2) identifying it as a grenade throw 3) reevaluating your path of movement 4) stopping 5) moving in the other direction and 6) aiming/firing is not all going to be done in under a second.

@Faded Truth you're also doing too much, especially when you're having to draw your pistol

Admin Ruling: The first gunshots pass in midair and both hit their targets. @Mithias is struck in the chest and @Faded Truth is struck in the shoulder. The two of you being shot throws off all subsequent shots from each of you.

Thank you for the help, @Phoenix . Which shoulder of Markus' was hit? Right or left? The right arm was the functioning one and the left was the useless one. I am assuming with a Heavy pistol shot, he would lose the use of his right arm if it was that and would probably obliterate his arm and shoulder if it was his left?

Bad day for Markus and H5PAD...quite sure they are both out of commission at this point. :blamesreeya:

So not sure on the timing of edits, don't want anyone to time out or anything.

Are we waiting on Mithias and myself to make the edits as per the ruling? @Mithias @Vosrik @Gian Greydragon

Well, @Mithias you’re technically not supposed to edit since the ruling is happening this round of combat, so your next post will have H5 being hit in the chest, not your last one since Markus didn’t actually shoot then.

@Faded Truth we are waiting on your edit and then for @Axym to post once more if he would like to (with sythe being hit by the Quickdraw)

It’s not required, but you’re welcome to if you’d like. Let us know either way so we know when we can post!

It's a "last ditch effort".

Heya @Gian Greydragon, I know the thread’s coming to a close here but I’m gonna have to contest your post there.

Qsan is moving at 50 meters per second (180kph). He quite simply isn’t going to be able to see that Devrim has raised his hand, register that he’s about to use the Force, and then act upon it to totally avoid the impact. It doesn’t really matter how maneuverable the 88-V is, it’s not going to be able to move out of the way in time before it collides with the barrier (which is a solid object, not something you can sort of bounce off of or get gently pushed out of the way by).

I did note that his movement downward forced him to drag through the outer perimeter of the barrier. I find it hard to believe that after performing a telekinetic blast the post round before that you'll be able to throw up a perfectly placed barrier just in time for him to fully stop Q'san. Given the kind of focus it takes to manifest a solid wall, I don't think you should be able to do that perfectly without preparation, let alone coming off of another attack in this case.

That’s not how the power works, though. It’s not something that the speeder would be slowed down by or pass through — it’s a solid wall. Here is the writeup, and the only major limitations of the ability are its size and how long it is maintained, not the focus needed to create the barrier. If you had an issue with Devrim creating the barrier in the first place, you should have brought it up before you posted because it can’t be contested now.

He's not passing through it though, he's moving downward and to the side as he sees your hands go up .

I can also delete my post and discuss yours before we move forward if necessary.

EDIT: I went ahead and did that. I don't agree that you're gonna be able to pull off a perfect barrier after performing as powerful a telekinetic blast moments prior.

That’s my original point — he is moving way too fast to be able to register that action and then completely avoid the barrier. Remember, Qsan is moving at 50 meters a second. Upon seeing Devrim raise his hand at 30 meters away, Qsan would have less than a fraction of a second before the speeder moved 5 meters and impacted the wall head-on. Reacting in that time frame is impossible.

Edit: You can’t simply delete your post, it’s too late. Once you’ve posted, my post is not able to be contested, as per the rules.
