Fauztin's Training

[Zach]

Fauztin tried thinking of it as if he were about to send a wave of Force from his hand. He focused his energy and built up the Force in his legs. He concentrated on just moving faster, but still able to control the movements. He let go of the held in Force energy and burst across the room, stopping an inch before he hit the edge of the clearing, just as he had tried to. He darted back and forth, randomly changing directions just to get a feel for needing faster reflexes and changing his course at such a high velocity.

 

[Void]

"Very good Fauztin. I did not expect you to pick it up so fast. To me it looks like you have got the hang of it more or less. Would you like to move on or stick with this." Ieu looked up as the hint of storm clouds were rolling in over them. "Look at that. Perfect weather to try shooting electricity from your hands."

 

[Zach]

Fauztin smiled at the approval. "If it's all the same to you, I'd like to practice this ability a bit more. Perhaps in a sparring match, or competing to keep up with you. Some kind of test to make sure I'm able to do the ability under pressure or in a different kind of mental environment," he said, wanting to make sure that he would be able to master the ability.

 

[Void]

"Very well." Ieu raised one of his hands and a single green bolt arced from it and travelled towards Fauztin.

 

[Zach]

Fauztin focused his Force energy and used a burst of Force Speed to dodge the attack, circling Ieu in the clearing with his lightsaber drawn. He jumped high into the air when he was between his master and the sun, activating his saber and slashing down.

 

[Void]

Ieu stood his ground, his blade shot from the edge of the clearing just in time for him to obstruct Fauztin attack. The blades connected and the lightsaber began to hiss as it rubbed against the smooth cortosis. "That was incredibly quick."

Ieu's blade began to ripple with electricity as he pushed Fauztin away. He then sprinted forwards swinging his blade towards Fauztin's waist.

 

[Zach]

Fauztin turned the practice downward to block the strike, leaning forward with his left arm curled up and bashing his shoulder against his teacher's to knock him off balance. Just as he made contact, he opened his hand and let out a Force Push at his face.

 

[Void]

The blast caught Ieu right in the face, which shot towards his left shoulder, He slowly turned his head back to face his padawan just as the electricity flowing over Ieu's blade increased dramatically and travelled down the lightsaber beam.

 

[Zach]

The electricity was absorbed in Fauztin's saber, not affecting him. He backed up and did another burst of Force Speed, circling the clearing and throwing random bursts of energy towards Ieu, eventually darting toward him again and slashing at his side.

 

[Void]

Ieu span dispersing the blasts with his blade and as soon as he saw Fauztin traveling closer, he vanished.

 

[Zach]

Fauztin stopped when Ieu vanished and he was suddenly on his guard. he sensed out with the Force, trying to feel where his master had hidden himself in the Force. He barely felt his presence and he wielded his lightsaber ready to defend against a surprise attack, his other hand ready to use the Force defensively.

 

[Void]

Ieu reappeared behind Fauztin. "Was that to your liking? However I am going to have to cut this sparr short because I have a mission for you tomorrow and if you want to take it up then I think you should go and get some rest. Sorry I did not bring it up sooner, I wanted to see how you did with Shingen and a couple of other things first." Ieu placed his blade back into its sheath and walked over to Fauztin. "Lets head back to the temple and I can tell you about it on the way."

 

[Zach]

Fauztin nodded, giving a light bow in respect. "What's the mission?" he asked, ready to prove himself worthy in the field.

 

[Void]

As they walked up to the temple Ieu began to explain the mission. "We are going to have to hunt some one down, the exact location is currently unknown but this will just make it more of a challenge for us. meet me at the spaceport tomorrow morning.

The next morning someone was waiting for but it was not Ieu, it was Shingen. "Hello Fauztin. Ieu has been held up and asked if I could take you on for a couple of days while he sorts things out."
