Does anyone fast? I am right now, and it doesn't bother me too much. Some of my friends complain all day about it. Which means they're missing the point entirely...

Anyway, I'm just asking.

Although I also fast during periods of great stress but that's because when I am emotionally stressed I can't eat.....I went five days without food once....

When we said change we meant for the better. Your point kind of doesn't work out as well as you think mate.

I am not a Muslim. But I feel absolutely terrible when eating in front of people who aren't. If I made it most of the day without eating, I figure I don't have to eat until sunset. My best friend since third grade is Muslim and I told her that I would fast with her. So yes, I know it is Ramadan lol. But is it normal to say 'the Ramadan'?

None of my friends do. They just say 'Ramadan'. They are completely fluent in English. They come from Somalia, Pakistan, Iraq, Iran, and Bosnia. Maybe the 'the' is a Canadian thing?:(

I've done it for the 40 hour famine a lot, but everyone said I cheated because I don't eat anyway.
