Affiliation: N/A

Ownership: Astra Iviin

Intent: For personal use as a compact and relatively easily concealable way to carry a vibrosword on your person.

Model: EVB Mk I (Extendable Vibro Blade)

Type: Extendable Vibrosword

Size: Compact form - 16 cm

Extended form - Handle - 16cm Blade - 60cm

Composition:
Blade - Durasteel with Phrik overlay
Handle - Durasteel
Rylith Power Crystal
Ultrasonic Vibration Generator

Description: This extendable Vibrosword was created for covert melee operatives who wanted an easier way to move through areas without having it stand out like a sore thumb. Able to deflect lightsabers due to the Prhik, the EVB is similar to most standard vibroswords except that due to the interlocking parts, it is more susceptible to becoming damaged under heavy use than an ordinary vibroblade.

Um.. this is my first tech submission. I hope everything looks okay? I couldn't find a decent picture, but it would be similar in concept to this: Concept Sword

Edit: Also, wasn't sure if this needed a tech profile or not, so I thought better safe than sorry, after getting some advice from some very helpful people ^^

I like it! Clever idea, definitely susceptible to damage, I imagine that locking mechanism wouldn't be too happy in vibro mode when it gets hit.

Well this wouldn't be a thing if she'd used the MagSeals I told her to.

:31:

That said, nearly any locking mechanism is going to be susceptible to some type of damage. Physical locks = Repeated hits lowering integrity. Electrical locks = Electrical/Ion damage. You get the picture.

Still, totally worth it for the concealability and coolness.

Thanks everyone! ^^

And.. I would have to understand mag seals in order to utilize mag seals, so... no mag seals! But hey, maybe someone can create a modded version with mag seals sometime... assuming this is passable :P

This is neat. I love ideas like this where it's not ridiculous, but still practical and has a nice flavour to it. Approved.

Woot! Thank you very much! Just for clarification (since I'm new <.<) would I need to change anything for it to be useable by others, or is it good to go for anyone who wants one?
