The barrage of blaster fire had managed to keep the Rathtar in a single general location, and with it focusing on trying to snatch up Aiden and the others, it didn't notice the mag crane's movement until the bulky machinery slammed into its side, actually managing to open a gash in its thick hide. A fresh burst of plasma bolts arced into the open wound, making the creature begin to scuttle backwards in an attempt to get away from the new source of pain. "Oh no you don't, you slimy piece of garbage!"

Sprinting forward with a thermal detonator in one hand, and his vibrosword in the other, Aiden charged the monster, hacking apart any tentacles that got in his way. Closing within a few yards of the beast's face, Aiden primed the grenade and threw it straight down the Rathtar's throat. After a moment's pause, there was an muffled thump from within the creature, before it promptly burst like a balloon.

Covered in guck, Aiden began shaking the worst of it off and turned to face the others. "Well, that was mes-GACK!" A pair of blaster bolts had slammed into Aiden's back, knocking him off his feet as half a dozen smugglers charged from the factory building, intent on taking revenge for their lost cargo.

Seera, noticing the plan that the other female had thought up decided to keep her weapon, before turning around to support the other squad and noticing the Rathtar popping like a bubble. She looked around trying to see if any threat was present or if she could lower her arms, and she noticed another door from the opposite side of their location, and half a dozen of smugglers scurried into cover as they took blind shots at the mandalorian squad, unluckily for the Mando's, Aiden was hit twice knocking him off his feet.

She quickly decided to buy the squad some time with the best of her abilities, diverting her already sprinting figure straight for for a nearby cover to enemy position. She settled in a kneeling position and she quickly started taking shots at the upper part of their cover, considering her weapon and the damage it did to the cover they had, most of the squad didn't even peek to take a shot back at her, but six shot can only keep enemies suppressed for long.

By this point she hoped that she had bought enough time for the others to pull Aiden out of harms way, or that he had enough strength left to keep on fighting. She reached for her utility belt and pulled another mag for her shotgun that she struggled to get in the champion. Over the comms her stress could easily be heard "C'mon c'mon you piece of -- Aha!" She'd say before finally being able to properly reload her gun, but by this point she was the one under heavy suppression. She kept her head low and waited for the support of the others.

"Score!" Aryn shouted as the mag crane slammed into the Rathtar, splitting its side and leaving it vulnerable. It didn't take long for Aiden to charge the beast and throw a grenade down its gullet. The mandalorian was either incredlibly brave, or crazy. Whichever it was the plan worked, and Aiden ended up covered in Rathtar guts. Wincing at her headache, Aryn kept her eye on the man long enough to see two blaster bolts catch him in the back.

"No!" Shouting in shock as she turned her eyes to the half dozen smugglers who had managed to get the drop on the SuperCommandos while they were fighting the Rathtar. Seera put up a valiant effort in giving Aiden covering fire, and Aryn took full advantage of it.

Swinging the arm of the mag crane and lowering it over the smugglers who cowered behind a durasteel crate, Aryn activated the crane's powerful mag clamps. The durasteel crate found itself unable to resist the crane's magntic pull. Neither could the smuggler's blasters, and the smugglers yelled in surprise as their weapons were torn from their hands and their cover slowly rose off the ground, leaving them vulnerable.

Pain arced between the two impact points on Aiden's back, causing him to clench his hands into fists and grit his teeth. His armor had thankfully prevented the worst of the damage from making it through, but he could still feel where the plasma had burned him a bit. Rolling onto his side, Aiden both heard and felt a crack as his damaged backplate cracked in half. Letting out a hissing breath through clenched teeth, Aiden pushed himself into a kneeling position with a grunt of pain. "Alright, the octopus guts I can deal with, that was my fault. But shooting me in the back and ruining both my armor plate and my cloak?! Not cool." His last statement had came out as an almost feral growl as he drew his pistol. Taking aim as the smugglers were robbed of their arms and cover, Aiden spoke into his comms. "Vode, let's burn these motherfekkers!"

With that, he squeezed the trigger and let the criminals have it.

The smugglers fell like chaff before the wind as the mandalorian troops rained hell upon them as the cover that was keeping them safe slowly gave away their position. Seera took no chances, she double tapped the inert bodies on the ground. Once the firing stopped a deadly silence settled as Seera stood up to face the rest of the team. ''Anyone injured?" She asked, having forgotten that she almost killed her team mate in the fight.

With this, Seera made her way towards the office building where she could see what the problem was with the station and she expected the rest of the team to follow her lead. She was pretty sure that most of the enemies were dead, or hoping they were dead by this point.

Watching from her vantage point as the rest of the squad gunned downed the now disarmed and cover-less smugglers, Aryn nodded in satisfaction, before wincing in pain. With the threat handled, Aryn carefully placed the large durasteel crate down with the crane before powering down the beastly machine. Climbing down the ladder with a wince at every rung, Aryn took her blaster rifle back from Seera when she reached the bottom. "Only a splitting headache... I'll live though." She said with a huff.

Following Seera to the office, Aryn booted up one of the holodecks inside and pulled up a map of the building. "Lets see what we have here." Staring at the holographic lights, Aryn couldn't make heads or tails of the map. Pulling her helmet off, she examined it to find a wicked dent in the front, with the paint scuffed off in multiple areas. Looking to Aiden with a confused look, she shrugged at the map in front of them. "See anything interesting on there?"

Getting to his feet with a groan, Aiden did a double take when Seera asked her question. Did she honestly forget he'd been hit? Shaking his head in wonder, he gently stretched out his shoulders, hissing in pain as he found out the hard way that his range of motion was a bit more limited than he expected. "I took a couple hits. Definitely gonna need a bacta patch or two when we get back, but I'll survive."

He then followed the others into the office, wiping the worst of the Rathtar gunk off his armor as he went. When Aryn called him over, he approached the holo-map and took a moment to inspect it. He pointed at a room in the corner of the basement. "That'll be the data center. Assuming the data drives aren't trashed, we'll have access to all their records and information. Probably a map of the entire facility as well, maybe even status reports on the major pieces of equipment if we're lucky. Come on, let's get going."

Turning, he walked over to a door marked with a faded sign that read "Stairs". Kicking the door in, he began walking down the stairs, taking care to scan ahead for any trouble.

stay with the ship they said, we'll be fine they said. well that may be the case but Mere didn't like staying behind and guarding the shuttle. she received stares in her armor as she took a few minutes to just stand outside with her helmet off and get some fresh air. eventually there were sounds of emergency vehicles and other noises that indicated a commotion had occurred. "what a load of osik." she said under her breath. heading back inside the shuttle she grabbed her helm and walked back down the ramp before breaking into a trot. she wasn't about to sit out on some action .

{}{}{}
Mere had contacted her comrades and they had filled her in on the details. she headed over and would meet with them at the seperate location they were heading to. damage, destruction bodies and other signs of conflict were all around but she didn't slow down her jog. the wolverine blaster rifle in her hands swayed with each stride. once she hopped over a corpse still smoldering a little and the smell of burnt flesh was in the air. her CH-5 blaster pistols on both hips were normally her only armament when not in her beskar'gam but this was a mission with a certainty in violence.

there was more she was equipped with but she hoped she wouldn't have to use anything besides her rifle. mere preferred her handguns anyways which she switched to as she slung her rifle over her shoulder. "oy lads and lass, i'm here. don't shoot me please." she didn't want to be the victim of friendly fire and soon met with her cohorts.

"Data center huh? Better get moving." Woozy, Aryn replaced the bucket on her head, the t-visor cutting down on the lights that were giving her a pounding headache. Aiden took point and Aryn was completely content to let him, and was about to follow down the stairs when a voice sounded out behind her. Sluggish to react, she brought her blaster around to spot another figure in Mandalorian armor. The grey and purple design was a familiar one from back at the ship. "I ain't gonna shoot you doll." Aryn drawled in a voice that didn't seem entirely her own. She must have hit her head harder than she thought. "Why don't you sashay up and i'll take the rear." Nodding sleepily, Aryn let the woman go down the stairs in front of her, eyes flicking up and down her armored form before following, shaking her head and wondering what was going on.

The dusty hallways appeared not to have been traveled in years, the walls were thick with cobwebs and a thin layer of sediment had formed on the floors. Aryn was dreadfully tired after descending the stairs. She hoped they didn't have a long walk ahead of them. Patching into the squad's comm systems, making sure to tie the newcomer into their communications, Aryn spoke a hair too loud into her mic. "Oy! Aiden! How long a walk did you say it was to the data cores?"

Walking along, Aiden scanned the corridor ahead of them with practiced precision. There was dust everywhere, even coating the floors, which gave Aiden a nice indicator as to which rooms were occupied. Suddenly, Aryn's voice blared in his ear through his comms. Flinching, he slowed his stride slightly as he inspected the room numbers. "Just a couple more rooms down, and could you lower your voice? We've got closed comms for a reason, no need to shout."

Reaching the door to the data center, he noted footprints in the dust leading up to the door. Holding up a closed fist, he gestured for the other commandos to stack up on either side of the door and prepare to breach.

Doll, she remembered when she was in college and some guy had called her that. she hadn't been a mandalorian back then but she still hadn't liked it. she waved it off knowing that like alcohol remove inhibitions so does adrenaline and fatigue. maybe Aryn wouldn't call her that if the two of them were just standing around, besides there was the mission to do. but the woman did seem pretty tired. <"you alright?"> she said in mando'a. perhaps something had happened between the time the team had left the shuttle and Mere had caught up with them.

Mere still took the lead with her her two pistols out. they worked better in pieing off areas and maneuvering in tight quarters plus she could easily drop one if need be and use her free hand for any number of offensive or defensive actions whether it be grappling, tossing a grenade or opening a door. Aiden made a gesture and with swift but softened steps she moved to the opposite side of the portal. holstering a pistol she pulled one of the SG-4 sonic detonators from her belt and primed it, ready to toss it in as they breached the room. she gave a nod to her cohorts to let them know she was ready.

Shaking the sleep from her eyes, Aryn nodded. "Course i'm alright." The slightest bit of a slur entering her voice. Still, she began to feel as if something was off, and her head was killing her. But there was a job to do. Whatever it was. Following the group of Commandos, Aryn marveled at the patterns of the cobwebs. Then the group came to a stop, there was a door. Footprints in the dust. Her blurry brain checked out as the body took over, preparing to breach the portal.

Coming up next to the door, Aryn prepared to key it open. Nodding to Mere, she activated the door panel, which opened with a loud grinding of rust. Gripping her rifle, Aryn would wait for Mere to toss the grenade. Her mind wasn't entirely sure what she was doing there, but her body knew exactly what to do.

Nodding in approval as the others moved into position, Aiden raised his rifle and prepared to move in. As soon as the door screeched open and the detonator was tossed and went off, Aiden rushed in.

Inside the room was several banks of hardrives and server banks, and the walls were lined with desks and consoles. Between the door and the banks of equipment, the smugglers had hastily set up several impromptu barricades in the form of overturned desks, bracing themselves behind them. Unfortunately for the smugglers, the room was well insulated, meaning the full power of the detonator hit them, leaving them reeling around clutching their ears. Moving forward, Aiden started blasting them.

the woman began re-drawing her other sidearm the moment the detonator left her hand. by the time she followed Aiden in she had both weapons in front of her, digits on the triggers. it was fast, ruthless and over in moments. still she kept her weapons raised as she moved around the room making sure there weren't any hidden from sight.

the Omwati mandalorian checked the bodies and moved any weapons out of reach in case they hadn't been killed instantly by the barrage of violence they had unleashed. She then began working on one of the data-banks quickly before turning to look at Aryn. leaving the terminal duty to Aiden she removed her helmet and motioned for the woman to do the same. "Take off your helmet, love. You better not have a concussion." she said as she pulled a small flash light from her belt to check her eye reaction.

Moving into the room after the grenade went off, Aryn fired a few blasts at the smugglers who were holed up. She wasn't entirely sure if she hit anything, the flash of each blaster bolt made her wince, their red glow extra dazzling to her eyes in the darkness. Seemingly victorious, Aryn moved into the room and took a seat on one of the makeshift barricades that the smugglers had set up in their hasty defense. She was tired, so tired. All she wanted to do was lay down and take a nap. Her eyes slowly drooped shut, and consciousness began to slide away from her, the world fading away.

Until a voice came out of the darkness. "Whuzzat." Slurring, after a sudden slurping inhale, a small bit of drool that had begun to form at the corner of her mouth being sucked back in. "Oh, helmet. Okay." Reaching up and releasing the seal on her dented helmet, Aryn pulled it off her head and let it clatter to the floor loudly. Head lolling to the side as she stared into the light, she wondered where it had come from. "Too bright." Complaining, but taking no action to remove the offending light from her face, Aryn looked through the light and fell into the blue eyes behind them. "So bluuuuue." Reaching out wearily, she brought her gloved hand up to stroke the pale flesh below the entrancing eyes before letting her arm fall limply to her side once more.

With the threat dispatched, Aiden let his rifle dangle by it's sling and walked up to the main terminal. 'Looks like these smugglers forgot to log off and shut down the system. Makes my job easier.' Tapping a few keys, he accessed the main database and initiated a diagnostic scan of the facility's systems. "Alright, so the main power generators are still functional, as are the computer systems tying everything together. However, we're going to need to take a closer look at the manufacturing and fabrication equipment, because the system lost connection with that entire building."

Looking over at the others, Aiden frowned in concern when he saw that Mere was checking Aryn for signs of a concussion. Walking over to the two women, he stopped next to Mere. Waving his hand in front of Aryn's eyes to get her attention. "Hey, stay awake vod. Can you tell me what day it is? And what planet we're on?" Slurred speech and fatigue weren't good signs after a blow to the head. They needed to get her to a proper medic or doctor as soon as they could.

the woman was in shock, potentially a concussion or something else. she was not well and they needed to finish things up here so they could get Aryn to proper medical attention. Aiden was hard at work getting what they needed to which Mere responded simply "Then get working on it." her tone was probably more brash than necessary but she didn't want both of them taking care of Aryn and forgetting about the mission. she waved him off when he tried to come over. they didn't need two people playing medic when there was other work to be done.

touching her face Aryn seemed to be losing lucidity. "heyheyhey...stay with me. keep talking. What's the first thing you're going to do when we get back home huh?" she pocketed the flashlight and pulled out an A1-i auto stim injector. it would keep her awake though probably make her feel like osik the next day. her free hand held the base of her neck so that her head wouldn't tilt out of fatigue and would allow her to find a place to inject the solution into her blood stream.

Unfocused eyes wandering, Aryn heard a question cut through the fog. Locking her mind onto the question, she began to pull herself back to the surface of consciousness. "I'm gonna take a nap!" She proclaimed. Feeling a hand touch her neck, her eyes moved to rest upon the stim injector, and alarms went off in her head. With a sudden movement, her hand shot up and smacked the stim injector out of Mere's hand, sending it flying to break against the nearby wall. "No! Thats uhh... Thats a bad idea." She couldn't recall why it was a bad idea, just that it was. Something about head injuries and blood pressure.

Struggling to her feet, she regained some of her composure, forcing the fatigue caused by her injury away. "Aiden." Attempting to put some sound of authority into her voice. "Call for a tech squad and reinforcements. If the main power generator is running, then whatever else is not fuctioning will be easily replaceable." As far as Aryn was considered, their mission was complete. She just wanted to go back to base and take a nap.

Turning back to the consoles, Aiden double checked a few things, then addressed the rest of the squad that had come with them. "Mere and I are gonna head back to the shuttle with Aryn, send a message back to base and give 'em an update. While we do so, you lot sweep the rest of the facility for any stragglers. Oya?" There was a chorus of affirmatives as the commandoes moved out of the room to complete their task. Turning back to the other two, he gestured towards the door. "Let's get back to the ship, my comlink doesn't have the range to send a message back to base." With that, he walked out the door and began the trek back up to the landing pad.

The woman batted the stim injector away from her neck which surprised her but now she seemed awake. well maybe she didn't need it anyways. she would have to remember to probably take a battlefield medical training course. she seemed like she knew it wasn't a good idea. manouvering Aryn so that she was lifted up under one arm she would help carry her though Mere would need Aiden's help if they wanted to get very far.

"I can relay..." she said with a grunt as she blink clicked and used voice commands to connect with base. she had the technical know how for setting up communications though it wouldn't be a consistent connection and they had to be outside. as fast as she was willing to move Aryn they would make it to the ship, all the while making sure she didn't fall asleep.
