Totally agree.

Barack Obama has something about him that just inspires people.

But america hasn't even had a women incharge yet, could they handle a man of colour?
[/b]

MY GOD, women president... worst idea ever... :)

a man of color, whats the difference? A black guy is not a daunting suggestion. Despite racism, its nothing of the level of having a hilary in office.

Have you heard Hillary going off lately with her mouth? Pulease! I think our allies would all attack us if she went into office....lol.

And, yes, Baccie, you're right. Ford, Jr, lost there toward the end I think mainly because of the attacks on his beliefs. Corker went after him with ads to boost his own image from the family values and religious side. At least that's the kind of ads that came forward in the eastern part of TN. Hit the bible belt with family values and religion and you're gaining prestige.

Remember her plantation comment at a celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr's Birthday? She used her time when she should have been focusing on celebrating the life and legacy King left behind instead of taking a stance against the Republicans and using such a racially charged analogy to help gain support for the Dems in Congress.

We call that 'politics'

Yes, that's politics at it's worst, yet to use such an analogy was in very poor tastes if you ask me. There were those offended by it and others who weren't. She's not the first though. Gingrich, whom I also dispise, did the same thing a while back, but not at such an event.

Keep the politics in the political arena. Don't use a platform where you're wanting to honor someone to take a stance and push your own agenda forward.

Since when has Politics been about right or wrong? It's about who can win. The republicans have been following this doctrine for years.

The thing is, you can't get caught up in the 'gossip' of the political world. You have to look at someone's policies to make a full judgment. What are Hillary's policies?

Primarily what you're advocating is being joyous about someone who says all the right things, at all the right times but who's a downright bastard when it comes to government policies, as opposed to someone who has good policies, but sometimes says the wrong thing at the wrong time.

When you're talking a President of the United States, you're looking at more than just their policies. Policies change over time as do agendas. We all know politicians will say one thing to get them into an office and then change at the drop of a hat because of pressures, changes in the world, lobbyists, etc. What will never change or hardly ever changes is the true character of the person. In the time of crisis, your policies aren't going to lead the nation. It's going to be the person. Again, I say that such an occassion as she was at did not warrant her putting forth her agenda. It was tasteless in my opinion. I have not stated my ideas on her policies nor any other's policies who are or will be running for President. Be careful in assumptions.

Actually, I really didn't assume too much. You stated you 'despised' Hillary, all while talking about what she does in public. Do you hate her for what she says in public? Or for what her policies are?

You also seem to be forgetting that a person can't always accurately be judged by what they say in public. Adolf Hitler was /incredibly/ charismatic, he never slipped up in public when he was speaking. But we know what kind of a bastard he was, right?

You asked when she spouted off in public and I gave you an example. I didn't state why I despised Hillary.

LOL...if you must know, I despise Hillary for her stances and her attitude, yes. So it's both her policies and her statements in the past. I don't think she has the right attitude for the position.

Well, in my opinion I feel she's better off in a 'behind the scenes' position.

Senate Majority Leader would be a better position for her.

Nope. The purpose of the government is to keep the People safe. The purpose of Law is to give the government a way to maintain order

The problem is, the /ways/ people have the government do those things. People disagree on the methods. THAT'S what Politics are.
