Highly resistant to: light blasters and blaster pistols, melee weapons made of simple materials like durasteel, low powered ballistic weapons, low temperatures, heat, vacuum.
Average resistance: blaster rifles, sonic weapons, ballistic rifles, EMP.
Low resistance: lightsabers, heavy blaster cannons and repeaters, fire throwers, frag grenades.

Features:

HUD:
- targeting computer;
- night-vision (same as infra-red, but less informative in heat detecting. But the picture is much more detailed. The whole world is red and warm and hot objects are glowing yellow and white. Most protected sensory vision);
- infra-red vision ("predator" style, all cold is blue and green and warm and hot are from red to bright yellow. White is extremely hot. Can be blinded by large explosion causing overheating the air around);
- electronic vision (detect active electronic devices which will glow white and the rest of the world will be dull-gray. Can be blinded by EMP, the whole world turns blinding white);

Helmet:
- Air filtration system (protection against most common gas and poisons, and smells);

- Hearing protection (same system that enhances low sounds filters high sound waves protecting the users hearing. Too loud sounds are lowered to acceptable level);
- communication system (works both as a standard commlink through HoloNet network and as short range radio transmitter to communicate with squad mates etc.);
- shock protection (protects user from shock hits on the head);
- video and audio recording systems (can record external surroundings as well as comm messages and communications);
- voice modulation (when speaking from inside the helmet the real voice of the user is distorted and sounds more mechanic).

Armor:
- overall vacuum protection (the armor plates, helmet, gauntlets and boots are magnetically sealed to protect against vacuum and water submersion);
- emergency air supply (small flat air canister hidden under armor back plate, has supply for 25 minutes of breathing);
- camouflage system (light bending technology, which skews the light around the armor, making it seems like a transparent glass or water. Doesn’t make user invisible, but much harder to detect with naked eyes in dim light or high contrast background like jungle vegetation. Has a total charge for 15 minutes of use. Emits EM strongly but it is not designed to fool sensors, only the naked eyes of the enemy);
- left gauntlet - comm controls, mini holo projector, armor systems controls;
- right gauntlet - extendable twin blades, slightly curved downward. Made of pure beskar.
- body suit - protection against vacuum, average protection against malee weapons and shrapnell. Very good protection against cold, heat and other weather troubles.

No jetpack, jet boots, no bat wings…

If it prevents heat from escaping completely, the user is going to cook in there, I would think.

No. Even in real life space suits do that and astranauts dont cook as far as i know

No you won't. It'll just be uncomfortably stuffy. Real life suits are heavily insulated but have temperature controls. Without temperature regulation the atmosphere in the suit would become whatever your body temperature is.

I could be wrong, but that's my understanding.

Incomplete knowledge is sometimes far worse than ignorance. Space suits have cooled water flowing through one if the inner layers to absorb body heat. While they do retain this heat, they need it to regulate the suit's temparature. They are used in vacuum, so the side of the suit facing away from the suit gets practically no solar heat and becomes very, very cold. Plus the side facing the sun gets very hot. The suit regulates these descripancies along with maintaining the astronauts body temp. They have leakage, it's not a perfect seal. In your case this armour will be worn everywhere, very rarely out in space. So heating will be a problem for you, you can't just make it vanish, energy after all can't be destroyed, so either your temp keeps on increasing and you get cooked inside your armour or you let the heat escape. Unless you have a special feature in the armour that helps store that heat, and that would likely be bulky, power hungry and not very efficient.

Okay. Then in reply I should point out that blaster tech based on tibanna gas is utter nonesense, spaceships as they are presented here cannot land on planets (they'll burn in atmosphere) and surely cannot take off from planet (in such small engines simply isnt enough power) and most of all, hyperspace travel, flying faster then light is total b*****it. Its star wars for gods sake, every second thing in it is technically impossible, its all fantasy! Give it a break!)
Oh, and the most impossible thing is a lightsaber.

Lol dude, calm the **** down. You brought up the space suits as justification for your armour. By doing so you set the example for using plausible real world sciences for justifying your tech. I simply proved your argument to be wrong.

As for star wars tech, saying that lightsabers are impossible so I can make something else that is impossible is a very stupid argument. If something like this exists in canon then well and good, but if not then you're making a stretch and using a stupid argument to support it.

Seriously, let's keep it civil here. Wit, Alora isn't a dude. And in the future if you disagree with something politely tell them why and offer alternatives or tell them why something needs to be scrapped and offer a viable alternative if one is available. If you have something constructive to add then feel free, but I don't think anyone needs to get blasted (except by Jiang), even in response to getting blasted themselves. It doesn't require much to be civil and not belligerent or antagonistic (and that goes for everyone).

Now, onto the matter of the heat retention, there would need to be a way for the suit to cool itself down, however considering that Jiang has made something similar for his Kushari power armor which regulates body temp, so the tech does exist in one form or another (although the argument could he made that Kushari crap is way to advanced compared to other tech). So, it wouldn't be that hard to change the bodysuit to fit I think. At the very least making it so that the armor absorbs heat for so long before venting would be another easy fix. Alternatively, you could add in a small dedicated power pack and cooling system to the body suit, considering repulsor tech is cheap and efficient I honestly don't see why a simplistic cooling system would be much harder to power or maintain. Just my two cents though.

Heh, so, first thing's first. In direct contrast to what many people have been telling you Alora, personal cloaking devices (so long as it maintains a halo or predator style active cammo effect) are perfectly legit. The trade off is that, to be invisible, it's going to scream bloody murder to every sensor nearby. According to the mechanics this site has established, by turning on your predator-style cloaking field (which, btw, can run indefinitely if you have a big enough power cell) You emit an absurd amount of Electromagnetic energy, which effectively makes you look like a search-light in a dark room on most portions of the EM spectrum.

Note, to see the specific ruling, look here [link]. It states:

"Personal stealth technology in the classic sense is no longer available, all known units having been burnt out through use or lost in the last few decades. While 'cloaking generators' exist that generate a camouflage field that attempts to actively mask the wearer, these generators do not hide the wearer's thermal or EM emissions, and generate no small amount of both heat and electromagnetic emissions as well. Atop that, they create a very distinctive shimmer around the wearer. While difficult to spot while stationary, anyone moving while wearing such a generator is relatively easy to spot. Still, they are somewhat popular among those organizations with enough money to purchase one. Due to their cost and illegality, they are outside the reach of most of the galaxy's populace. "

Now that we've established that, let's handle this thermal retention thing you're discussing. Heat, in short, is the bane of everything. In reality, you've got two options for how to deal with it. You can store it (which, as everybody has been saying, will eventually cook you alive) or you can radiate it outward. One of the better options, in my opinion, is just using space-suit tech in the same manner as they do IRL, and use it to equalize your body temp across all fronts. This will by no means remove your thermal signature, but it will notably reduce it to somewhere around 28 or 29 degrees Celsius (this is because the human body radiates heat at different rates at different locations. Your hands and feet, for example, radiate heat much faster than your torso, relative to the amount of heat they generate.)

Alternatively, you could store the heat in a heat sink, which you then can radiate when you need too. This creates two problems: you can easily cook yourself if you don't vent the heat in time, and two the heat sink will show up on IR like a giant, glowing little sun. To partially mitigate this, you can add a thermoelectric generator, which converts heat into electricity. These things are far from perfect, however, at the curret leader in the market can convert roughly 26% of the heat it encounters into electricity. Combined with a heat sink, the equal distribution of your thermal radiance, and one of those, you'll be able to go maybe ten or fifteen minutes (at the absolute most; your character will be hitting temperatures of a solid 40-45 degrees celcius at that point) without having to concern yourself overly much, but you'll need to vent your heat quickly once you get there.

One option is a Mass Effect style thermal clip, which gets superheated and then ejected to vent the heat. The two downsides to this method are the easy-to-follow trail of ejected heat sinks, and a marked decrease in efficiency as you continue to use your clips and start to run low. Another option would be to find a source of water or fairly cool liquid and submerge your heat sink in that. The liquid will boil, but the boiling will reduce how much heat is in your heat sink quite rapidly.

If you're not up to the challenge of coming up with, and understanding, how this stuff works, however, I suggest you drop the idea entirely. It gets really complicated, really fast, and your stealth system is already almost worthless compared to what you wanted it to be since it generates so much of an EM response. I'm not trying to be a dick here, but it is almost impossible to make yourself truly invisible with the rules and restrictions that have been placed on stealth tech. And that's the way it should be.



On a different note, you might really want to look into adding an integrated repulsor harness or jetpack. Not only are they cool, they add an immense amount of battlefield mobility, and to a mandalorian, being where you're needed and avoiding areas with too large of a concentration of firepower is life. Life, therefore, can be directly related to how fast you can move around a battlefield.

Due to the lightsaber resistant rule, you'll have to change the breakdown of materials. It can't be majority duraplast like that per our guidelines.
