I have a Padawan in the works who had his master abandon him and the order, so he's looking for someone new to learn after. I think he would be interested in helping to set up a military outpost so if someone would want to take him along that would be cool.

Due to my character being highly combat focused it would make sense for him to push closer to the Sith Territories. So I guess I am happy to back out of Dantooine. I would however open up the idea of creating an outpost on Ossus. I see no stratigical advantage of creating a full blown temple there as of yet, but it would serve my character well as he investigates sightings of the Sith.

I'm with this guy. It's too early, imo, to be focusing on ideas like that.

Save the big event planning for after we know the whole dynamic that we'll be working with in the timeline and everything. Focus on character ideas and the like right now, and maybe a bit of thought on what the dynamic within the faction might be like, but going ahead and saying "I want to go start this enclave and do it like a military base and blah blah" when we don't even know whether or not that idea will be feasible for us. Get the wacky character ideas out of the way, save the wacky event ideas for when we actually know what's going on.

(Yes, I did in fact tell Marcus not to be a curmudgeon just so that I could take up my traditional role of being the curmudgeon.)

Don't think there is anything wrong with planning events, everyone here is planning character directions which is equally unfeasible and may result in things having to get changed. That's the great thing about being able to plan... Putting forward an idea, then tweaking it as more stuff comes out.

If people want to plan on making a enclave on Dantooine then I see no reason why planning that now wouldn't make sense. We already know the main faction goals, a lot of us have solo goals, hell some people already have planned huge indie faction goals.
