Appearance
A Red Sith of virtually no Jen'Jidai heritage, Sin'ryk's appearance that of an unsullied child of Korriban, possessed of carnelian red skin that is common to Yinchorri Red Sith. As well as possessing cheek tendrils that have grown longer with age, high cheekbones, eyebrow stalks, fanged teeth and a chin reminiscent of pincers, he is one of the few remaining Red Sith in the galaxy who possesses clawed Tridactyl hands and feet, which would make curved hilt weapons trickier to wield. Sin'ryk's dark red hair is buttock length and worn in any style that pleases him that day. Given his most recent exertions, stripes of silvery white have begun to manifest. His luminous orange-yellow eyes, that can glow red with the power of the Dark Side are sharply almond-shaped with a lightsaber scar over the left eye; they are also possessed of epicanthic folds, giving him a further exotic aesthetic. Due to Ashk-Derriphan, his pupils have completely vanished, meaning his iris is nothing more than a perfect circle. Whilst his ridged nose has a bump where it had been broken in a sparring match. His height, attributed to his 1/4 Massassi ancestry, is considered something of an oddity among the more isolated tribes of his homeworld. The Red Sith also likes to adorn his tendrils with solid gold rings.

Due to the events of the Crucible Acolyte tournament, Sin'ryk had lost his right hand to a lightsaber strike. Now he currently has a gold-plated, (purely cosmetic) Sith-runed prosthetic that is still tridactyl and can feel sensations. It can also double as an enhanced fist and claw, meaning that Sin'ryk is technically never unarmed. After his captivity amongst the Jedi, he recent had to reforge his prosthetic. In recent times, he has had the fingers modified with red synth-flesh and a red gemstone on his upper hand. After acquiring the knowledge of Sith Alchemy, the Arcanist has imbued it with the ability to channel electricity. Some time after his promotion to Crusader, Sin'ryk proceeded to mark himself with a tattoo. A part of his tribal rite of passage, it is a unique glyph that marks him as Saara'Tsis or a true Sith of his tribe. After his return from captivity, the Red Sith has taken to tattooing every inch of his carnelian flesh with Sith markings derived from ancient texts and designed in an aesthetically appealing way. Not even his eyeballs escaped the ink, now marked with the symbols of the old Empire.

As a result of his duel against Sogar Derimsa, Sin'ryk now possesses scarring from the third degree burns on his back. Combinations of Alchemical and medical procedures have served to alleviate it...but given its freshness, it still provides irritation.

Stats
Strength: No stronger than your average Red Sith, but his prosthetic has more strength to it.

Dexterity: Sin'ryk is very agile, his movements possessing a degree of predatory grace. Nowadays it has improved to being lethally fast, a result of working with a saberstaff and finding means of easing himself into an opportunistic situation for spell or blade.

Constitution: Most of the time, Sin'ryk is quite healthy and pretty athletic. Due to his tribe's narrow genepool, it takes longer for him to recover from illnesses without aid. His endurance is such that he can last for a long time in extreme climates. Due to his energy-efficient fighting style, Sin'ryk takes considerably less time to tire out. It should be noted that due to his being a very pure Red Sith, he can only reproduce with those possessed of Sith blood without aid.

Now in stage four of the condition, Ashk-Derriphan, Sin'ryk's eyesight has degraded to the point of complete blindness.

Due to his regular exposure towards various toxins (often crafted by his own hand) and mithridatic practices of consuming and inhaling them, Sin'ryk has built a decent level of resistance to various toxins. He is immune to most low level poisons, mild poisons have negligible effects whilst powerful poisons vary in dosage; low levels are negligible whilst high doses require Dark Side healing.

Intelligence: An avid scholar possessed of a ravenous intellect, Sin'ryk is capable of learning at a fast rate. A necessary trait his tribe's Sorcerer Ari were looking for; he also puts it to use with scheming. Years have passed and his sharp mind has yet to dull.

Wisdom: As a being who delves deep into the Dark Side, Sin'ryk is well versed in its great game; he knows its risks and he knows its rewards. As pleasant as he is, the Red Sith still conceals a wariness of those around him; few are exempt from this perception. Many are the insights he possesses, and is just as willing to share them with those who listen.

Charisma: At one point, Sin'ryk used to be awkward around those who weren't possessed of Sith blood. Nowadays, the Red Sith has learned to overcome this and is known to possess skill as a teacher. For most parts, Sin'ryk has a tendency to creep out those who have little knowledge of Sorcery.

It should be noted that Sin'ryk considers himself a jack of all trades when it comes to Sorcerer specialisations. Though given his reputation as a Master of Poisons and a master Craftsmen, he will identify as an Alchemist for ease of clarification

Gear
e1bfbbd4-514b-47ca-a0c1-f3598a3553f1_zps0aeeda1b.jpg
A saberstaff forged by Sin'ryk after his defeat and subsequent amputation during the Crucible; the Pureblood forged through melding his first master, Phurris', lightsaber with that taken from a manipulator of Korriban Zombies. Its crystal turned out to be a red Dantooine crystal, allowing Sin'ryk to better recover energy for Force powers. The synthetic crystal has recently been replaced with a qixoni crystal. The Tuk'ata teeth at the centre are to prevent Sin'ryk's grip from slipping whilst the one's up front allow it to be improvised as a twin-dagger; due to the fact that the design was based on the sacrificial blades of early Kissai priests. The blades are powered independently with each having its own power cell, allowing a blade to remain functional in the event of being severed. Due to studying Sith Alchemy, Sin'ryk has increased the hilt's resistance; it is now capable of withstanding several saber strikes before being severed. The saberstaff can be split into two separate blades.

On the outside, whilst appearing to resemble an alchemically-enhanced seeing stick, a deadly Sith sword is housed within. The crimson weapon bears all of the properties of a traditional blade, save for the fact that it was created to be lightweight in comparison to the blades wielded by the Sith of the past. This is to suit Sin'ryk's agile disposition as well as to help with concealment, so that he can strike without the enemy least suspecting. On the hilt lies many arcane gemstones and a kittat scripture that, when translated, reads "Deception cuts deepest). These words blaze into life when the blade is charged with the power of the Dark Side.

Tuk'ata Venom-claw: Mounted on prosthetic arm.

Flute/Blowpipe and 20 darts

four Wicked-Bladed Shikkars: Coated in Sith poisons, 2 contained within 2 arm-mounted, spring-loaded sheathes; two at the belt

Herbalist/poison-making gear: Also includes many herbal samples, you never know when you'll need it.

[http://www.thestarwarsrp.com/forum/...]Numerous phials of the following concoctions

Tomes of Redemptionist lore: The few remaining, slightly charred books and scrolls that Sin'ryk salvaged from the burning yurts his people lived in. The books contain the history, records and occasional Force techniques.

Aesthetically reminiscent of the Great Hyperspace War mixed with the tribal apparel of the Zuorri'kash, the robes consist of a dark purple and red fabric, aligned with gold fibres on the sleeves, chest and hood. Though primarily designed for hot weather, the robe also comes with a cloak of animal fur for use in Yinchorr's frigid nights. The jewellery wore by Sin'ryk served as a further sign of his apprenticeship whilst the fetishes of tooth and bone adorn it. Whilst primarily aesthetic, they can provide protection from short blades...until they were replaced by gauntlets taken from the corpse of a feral Massassi warrior. In recent times, he has acquired an ornate breastplate from within the Valley of the Dark Lords that covers the top half of his chest; it has been modified for further heat resistance.

Iinkortai'Tsis Medicine bag: A tribal ornament crafted by Sin'ryk after his sojourn on Yinchorr. The Force-Sensitive stones within are believed to channel one's ill fortunes.

Mask of Brotherhood: A birthday gift from the Noghri assassin Nox as a symbol of their friendship, the mask is forged into the likeness of a Red Sith features. Sin'ryk has vowed to wear the mask for times of war and obscurity/terror tactics, but generally fastens it to his waist sash.

Trophy lightsaber and crystal: Plucked from a tomb once infested with Korriban Zombies, Sin'ryk maintains these items in case of an emergency.

Tuk'ata Hodzak: Known in Basic as a Tuk'ata-head Fiddle, it is a musical instrument that is unique to the Red Sith tribes of Yinchorr. Possessed of two strings to accommodate the tridactyl dispositions of its creators, the instrument is played with a bow whilst resting on the player's lap.

Comms device

Ship: Requisitions when required

Droids: None, considers it lazy and maladaptive to rely on them.

Pets: None, but that nerf over there looks appetising.

Personality: Being raised in a tribe of Red Sith living in Yinchorr's deserts tends to develop one's paranoia, especially if you happen to be apprenticed to one of the Sorcerer Lords. Sin'ryk is slow to trust and even then may still be wary of those closest. Whilst not a sadist, he enjoys granting individuals their just desserts regardless of what it entails. What started off as curiosity at a young age eventually grew into an obsession with the lore of the Dark Side and, like any other Red Sith Redemptionist, an obsession with restoring his people to their birth right. Throughout his youth, Sin'ryk was known to always be remarkably patient; a complimentary trait with his cunning and intelligence, meaning he can easily wait to implement his schemes and stay true to his objectives. Loyalty is given to those who he fully trusts, but will not hesitate to demand a blood price for their betrayal. Sin'ryk's full unconditional loyalty however, is to his species as a whole as well as the Order, seeing himself as the one who would protect the Sith from themselves. Humility surprisingly comes natural to him and is, mostly, generally good natured to many. However, the Red Sith isn't entirely free from his people's nature.

Either way, all of these traits, once bent to his ambition of becoming a Sith Sorcerer are now fully devoted to recovering the heritage of his people...but crushing those who would raise their fist against him is a bonus. He does have a strong, but pragmatic, sense of honour, and will honour his debts to those he owes and possesses the same level of Ancestor veneration the tribes of Yinchorr are known for. He always maintains a warm visage to others; whilst it is genuine, it does lull others into thinking him weak. Yet as his years of tending the ancient Tombs of Korriban had pressed on, the many spirit bindings and the task of putting down those fellow Sith who are suspected to have succumbed to the ancient powers within the Tombs of Korriban have led to the Red Sith becoming more grim in personality...having taken it upon himself to protect the souls of his fellow Sith from the souls of the Ancient Dead. In recent years, some of the joys of life seem harder to enjoy; it is not guilt that has filled Sin'ryk's mind, but fatalism. He knows that all things die in the end and not even the Sith are above it...yet it his duty to ensure that dead remain so, even if it requires the death of others to make sure that this remains so. Just as he protects the tombs from being profaned by the living, he protects the living from being profaned by the dead. Combined with his religious beliefs and mithridatist practices, it is safe to say that the Red Sith has no fear of death, for he knows it will come for him. This new grimness and fatalism ensures that he is more ruthless in his duties, though he will strive to make sure that few unnecessary deaths are caused unless fate has placed the individuals in such a position.

Having learnt to truly hone his rage into a scalpel and conquer the ghosts of his past, another issue had arisen. At the age of 27, Sin'ryk's Ashk-Derriphan had advanced to stage three; now being completely night-blind as well as perceiving only light and shadow. Though Force Sight had enabled him to carry on as normal, the Red Sith laments that he can no longer see the palettes of colour present in the physical world now. It is one thing to see the true fabric of existence and the vibrancy of the Force, the Arcanist laments that he can longer watch the sunset, to watch a rainbow or even the night sky ablaze with the stars. It should be noted that, due to his primitive upbringing, Sin'ryk is somewhat technophobic; only using devices when required.

In terms of sexuality, Sin'ryk identifies as Pansexual; but given his profession, he has had very little time to pursue romance.

Biography
Blood of Korriban, Child of Yinchorr

Hailing from the planet Yinchorr, Sin'ryk Nalessh was born into the Vaal'kaas band of the Zu'uorrikash tribe, one of many that inhabit the most remote deserts and mountains of the planet. They, like all of the other Yinchorri Sith tribes, began existence as a heretical sect of the Kissai Sorcerers of Tund who fled the world 1,500 years before Tund's destruction, after a call was made to return to the true ways of the Sith back on Korriban; an irony considering that the main reason the Sorcerers were exiled was for turning away from the Sith'Ari-Saarai . The exiles then fled to the planet Yinchorr, feeling the errors of their ancestors have made them unworthy of setting foot on sacred Korriban. On arrival, they continued the pursuit of the Sith'Ari-Saarai through practicing the little that could be remembered of the old ways and the pursuit of knowledge within the Dark Side of the force by their Sorcerers. This resulted in the settlers settling into nomadic tribes, which allowed them to evade contact with the Yinchorri. Purity is also on the forefront of the many Yinchorri Sith tribal psyches, either turning to unions with non-Red Sith, assimilating with other tribes or turning to inbreeding when in dire straits. When Palpatine established the royal guard training outpost on Yinchorr, it was also in mind of monitoring the mostly Kissai-descended tribes, which proved extremely difficult given their nomadic practices and powerful force illusions. Some Red Sith tribes settled in the abandoned outposts when the New Republic emerged. Millennia later, the New Sith Imperium had conquered Yinchorr and to their surprise, found the Redemptionists wandering the deserts. The most prominent tribes pay a tithe of several of their most force-sensitive youths, in exchange for establishing contact with kindred of other planets in a bid to expand their slowly shrinking gene pool.

In Sin'ryk's case however, the Vaal'kaas were a minor, unknown band that had recently begun turning to inbreeding to maintain their numbers. The Red Sith himself is a part of this first generation of inbred children, with his mother and father both being first cousins. Life was harsh for the boy, with each sickness he had contracted it took longer than normal to recover, which was the reason why his mother taught him the secrets of Yinchorr's plant-life and toxins, aiding her in her role as a medicine woman. It soon became apparent that the child was remarkably strong in the force, a symbol of pride for the Sith tribes. Upon Sin'ryk's 18th birthday, it was the day of his choosing; a time when the Sorcerer's who lacked an apprentice would choose one from the strongest force-sensitives among the new generation. As fate would have it, Sin'ryk would be chosen by the Sorcerer Lord Phurris Taa'nak. Under his tutelage, the 18 year old began to master his powers (including manifesting the notorious force lightning in an awkwardly weak form. At this time, he was arranged to be married to a fellow Apprentice, for propagation of a powerful bloodline.

However, this would not last. A month into Sin'ryk's apprenticeship, a rival tribe aided by Yinchorri mercenaries attaced the camp, with accusations of impurity upon their lips. The Vaal'kaas put up a valiant fight, but they were ultimately overwhelmed by the larger numbers and surprise nature of the attack. Sin'ryk watched first hand as his family was brutally slaughtered. To complicate matters further, Phurris himself fell to a Red Sith warrior with his apprentice barely arriving as soon as he had fallen and catching sight of some Yinchorri absconding with a prized relic, an ancient Sith sword. Catching the sight of his destiny slipping away was what finally made Sin'ryk snap; drawing his master's ancient lightsaber, the Pureblood roared a challenge to his master's slayer. With his blood boiling like lava, he hurled an unusually powerful stream of force lightning at the opposing Pureblood, immobilising the warrior in the process. Rage still seething, Sin'ryk pounced on the prone form of the rival tribesman and finished him off by forcing his eyes into their sockets. Blood covering his hands, the Red Sith fell unconscious, not knowing that someone was watching the fight. 2 days later, he had awoke and looked outside of the window, only to find that he was no longer on Yinchorr; he had awoke on a world conveyed only in the tales of the Redemptionist tribes. The Pureblood found himself on the cradle of the Sith species, Korriban.

Amongst the White Sith

When Sin'ryk awoke on Korriban, he found himself in the chambers of his then-future master, the Sith Lord Geist Weiss. After breakfast, the lord realised the power that lurked within the young Red Sith and offered him a place within the Sith Order. Not hesitating a moment, Sin'ryk accepted the humanoid's offer; but he still had business to resolve back on Yinchorr, the funeral of the Vaal'kaas.

After several days of recovering from his injuries, Lord Weiss took Sin'ryk back to Yinchorr. After retrieving several priceless texts and Phurris' lightsaber, the Red Sith, with the Sith Lord's aid, set the yurts alight and recited the ancient funeral rites the Sorcerers were taught.

"Fathers of our Fathers, Mothers of our Mothers! Take those who have fallen into your care. Embrace them into the fold of the Eternal midnight."

Sin'ryk reached down to the lightsaber at his belt, ignited it and held it high in salutation of the fallen. With a deep sigh, he carried on the rite.

"Go now fallen kin! Be forever free from the coil of mortality! Be free from the bonds of flesh! Let yourself sleep forever in the halls of our ancestors, forever embraced in the veil of eternal nightfall."

As the last Red Sith of the Vaal'kaas band turned with tears beginning to flow from his eyes, his new master offered him words of comfort.

"They say loss empowers the Sith," said Geist. "It is a painful experience, one that can help you on your journey. But it is not a tool, but a pillar. Never forget what happened here. With power, you can stop the disorder of the galaxy, to stop suffering. Sometimes it is through trials as these that we realize what is truly important to us."

Taking these words to heart, Sin'ryk intoned his final goodbyes before leaving the life he once knew.

Throughout the his career as a Sith, Sin'ryk had experienced many things; establishing a warrior's bond with the Noghri Nox, learning that there were other Red Sith in the Order who hailed from worlds within the original Empire and further establishing his knowledge of the Force through the arts of Sith magic, under the tuition of the sadistic kindred master Thanatos. Due to Lord Weiss' duties, the Yinchorri Red Sith was forced to take the initiative in his studies, such as approaching the Togruta Sith Witch, Grima Volitu on the Way of the Ysalamiri, Makashi. His endeavours extended to clearing a Tomb of the abominations of Dathka Graush alongside a fellow Acolyte, aiding Crusader Ghenna in mission for information on the Darksabres and confronting his demons on Yinchorr whilst on an assignment with Master Volitu.

However the Crucible Acolyte tournament was wait came to be his defining moment, despite the fact that it was not a victory. The spore-laced world of Drongar held few dangers that would phase him; he had claimed the head of a Nautolan Acolyte and paired up with another to face the Zabrak Vyrzen. His partner was driven off, prompting the Red Sith to bellow to the heavens in anger, shattering his rebreather. Ultimately, the duel cost Sin'ryk his right hand but not before his plan paid off in a way he did not expect. The log that fell shattered, resulting in a large splinter that tore out his opponent's eye. Had Sin'ryk been any other Sith, he would've begun to plot revenge on the Zabrak for removing his hand; but he himself considered it petty and lnew had they met in other circumstances, it would not have happened. When the Forge of Wind ended, the Pureblood paid for his own prosthetic limb and after a few words of wisdom from Lord Weiss, resolved to change for the better. Using his first Master's lightsaber, a little detail he felt guilty about, and one he had taken from a Korriban zombie; Sin'ryk had forged himself a saberstaff and learned to wield it under the tuition of his...friend Satoryu. Afterwards, he soon rose to the rank of Crusader alongside his warrior-brother, Nox.

Days of the Crusader, Age of the Sorcerer

"So close, yet the journey makes a road far longer."
Now a Crusader of the Sith Order, Sin'ryk truly began to take his studies of Sith lore to the next level; seeking out dangerous holocrons and what-not to further enhance his knowledge. One day, the Red Sith had joined his honour-brother, Nox on a training session deep beneath the Korriban Academy. What initially began as a Prisoner hunt transformed into a nightmarish ghost-binding as the corpses of their quarry were reanimated by a magic not even Sin'ryk would draw upon. After barely escaping the excavated tomb, Sin'ryk promptly drew on his knowledge to bind the Nether Lord to his resting place; until the tomb he could be banished to Chaos where spirits such as he belonged. It would be during his years as a Crusader that he would fight his first couple of Jedi and begin to further his quest for knowledge; to answer the riddles that have yet to be answered and find which has yet to be found.

It would be during these days that Sin'ryk would face many things; he had faced Jedi, performed his duties as a teacher with enthusiasm and seemed to be developing feelings for a few of the Sith Order's women. It would be during this time that the Red Sith would learn a distressing detail; that is inbred nature had the consequence of a genetic disease that would strip him of his sight in a few years. He found his salvation through the teachings of Darth Xic, from whom he had learned Force Sight. At this point time, the Red Sith would remember the time he and Satsuki Tora shared a moment of intimacy within the Tomb of Naga Sadow. It would be one of the most treasured memories of the days he still had sight.

Not a bad profile. Nice background story, some connection to formal-ish training, finished with a climactic emotional level of utilizing the Dark Side. I'm not sure exactly how specific the site is on Force Lightning usage, but I know that a character with proficient use is usually required to train the beginning phases (levels of intensity of electricity) in the actual RP in training threads. Force Lightning is generally considered a Knight/Crusader level technique, but it shouldn't be a problem being mentioned in your profile - as long as the character isn't capable of using the power at will, and the only full usage of the ability during the one-time biography content until the point of formal IC training.

Other than that, someone might find an issue with a new character in the possession of a phrik-composed lightsaber hilt. The galactic state of things are in a rather repressed economic standpoint during multiple times of war. This recent timeskip covered about four front lines in the last ten years ICly, so the most common usage of strong materials (such as phrik or Mandalorian Iron/Beskar) are put to military uses or in the possession of individuals that have built assets for their characters in terms of wealth, power, or connections to such a means of obtaining this particular rare metal.

I'm not an expert on the Sith species, but I do particularly like that you balance the character's strengths and weaknesses in contrast to the flawed gene pool.

I'm pretty sure you start with only one form. Other then that, Good!

Considering that it states as plainly as day that it is only the basic defensive positions, I think the understanding of the second form is minute enough to be permitted, Tak.

Looks like a pretty good profile, and a great first attempt for a character here on SWRP!
Unfortunately i'm not "up" with the info on the Sith, so I'll say its a very interesting story, and let the Sith "team" come in and have a gander!

Yes, this is a good, descriptive character profile. You clearly put some effort into it. I like it!

And Tak, Shii-cho is the basics of lightsaber combat. Everyone knows it. However very few specialize in it as their primary form like Kit Fisto. Like Cassa said, knowing a few basic moves of a second form isn't implausible.

That's very tall for a Kissai XD

This makes me want to actually start playing Kamuoti.

Nice job! He should meet Niita!

He should meet Audroti too :bitchez

I'd recommend making him shorter, most Massassi are about 6ft and Kissai are generally much smaller. 5,8" would be a good height I think.

True, Kissai are shorter than the Massassi; but Sin'ryk's unusual height is balanced by his thin physique in comparison to the bulk of a Massassi. Plus his tribe was annihilated by another for suspected bloodline impurities... *strokes facial tendrils*

In regards to the meeting Audroti, that sounds like a good idea too. They may find that Sin'ryk's spoken Sith may sound a little odd. The Purebloods of Yinchorr have their own perfectly understandable tribal dialects

(eeeee I love tendril stroking :bitchez)

Niita has a heavy accent, and I imagine Audi does too, so it's all good :3

Very good first character, especially a Sith. As the second form is only to know a couple defensive moves, I'll tentatively allow it (though BN or Rom can supercede this decision); after all, many people don't end up focusing specifically on their Form's stuff in a duel, they just block and strike when/where convenient. I do like the balanced weaknesses and strengths, something not always seen in (beginner, hell sometimes even veteran) characters; I especially like how they have justifications, rather than just throwing in stuff.

Quick question, is "Sorcerer Lord" just a tribe thing or is it an official Imperium rank/title?

Alright. Looks good. I'll approve him. Also, if you need a master, Geist can fill that spot.
