Thank you, ROM, for that awesome explanation! :)

To be clear, students who post last in my threads will get credit from me (whether or not it will be accepted by the Admins is another thing). However, if you did not post and were part of the reason the thread failed, then I see NO reason you should get credit. That makes no sense.

I don't see it as being harsh. I put these classes up and keep them ALWAYS available for YOU guys. I do not need nearly so many classes for my promototional requirements, nor is that what I am focused on. Truth is, this faction will always benefit from any active teacher that can offer a wide variety of classes. That is what I aim to give here.

These classes are a privilege, not a right. I made them, I own them, and I set the rules (within faction rules/guidelines). I'm not harsh. I'm strict, but fair.

Also, real life has little bearing. If you don't do the work, you don't get paid. That's how it works. If you cause my thread to die because you can't tell me you need to stop posting, that's unfair.

After thinking on it remove him from Force Spark, it kind of goes against where I plan on taking him.

So that means sign him up for Ataru and Basic TK.

Just a quick update:

1. Almost all of my classes are moving again, which is great. Some of them have a reasonable projection of ending within the next few days, provided the participants keep pace.

2. I've seen all of the new sign-ups and I am excited! I promise to get the newest round up ASAP. This is also a reminder to current participants to sign up again if they want to repeat a course. Having multiple threads of training in a certain ability helps you back up your character's growth and experience, plus provides a better platform for spring boarding into promotion. Obviously, though, I will usually prioritize newer applicants for open slots.

3. I have not forgotten those that have privately asked me for one-on-one sessions. I will be squeezing you guys in between this round of classes and the next. I'll be VMing/PMing those involved soon (though a great way to get me involved sooner is to make the thread yourself, if you've got the gumption).

Since I have waited long enough on other classes to finish, regardless of the circumstances of other players, I will soon be starting the next round of classes here. However, due to clear flaws with the past model of running classes and the added factor of my new character, Rector Xic, I will be running fewer classes at a time. Hopefully, this will keep the classes moving more quickly in the future. Those that have signed up in the past need do nothing more than keep being patient, there's no need to sign up again for now. I promise to get to all of the signed-up classes eventually, but obvious time constraints are holding me back.

Thanks for understanding!

Look forward to more class options in the future and don't forget to check out the available threads with Xic!

Kirik needs some class and some discipline, but in all seriousness I would like to apply for a class. Preferably in Force Spark.

This is the current layout I have. I've taken some people out, as their profiles have indicated that they've been away for some time (or I couldn't find a link to the character anymore). People who did not make it onto this list will have to sign up again (sorry for the inconvenience) so that I know they are still around and interested. If anyone would like to fill in spots now, before I start these, now would be the time to sign up.

I'll be starting the first round of threads either tomorrow night or the next night, Sunday at the latest. Again, I will be doing FEWER of these classes at a time. So if your class doesn't go up right away, PLEASE do not freak out. I promise to get to them, but I AM sort of teaching most of the active members of the faction right now. ;)

Form IV Ataru Basics:

This class will help Acolytes learn about Ataru, its principles, and the basic techniques. A student can take this class as many times as they like. Students that are not interested in learning Ataru but wish to practice against its users may slip into "additional" slots that I will add as necessary.

Session One
Slot 1: Savan Rhodu
Slot 2: November Frost

Session Two
Slot 1: Ysamor Velcono
Slot 2:

Telekinesis Basics:

This class will teach students the basics of Telekinesis, including Push/Pull. This class will only have three slots available at any time. Students may take this course as many times as they like, but will eventually be pushed to take the intermediate course.

Session One
Slot 1: Crosis
Slot 2: Savan Rhodu

Session Two
Slot 1: Sari'ndia
Slot 2: Vandheer Tarwae

Alter Basics:

Alter Basics will teach students about Speed and Jump. There will only ever be three slots available for this class. Students may take this class more than once, but will be limited in how many times they can take it and will not have priority over new students.

Slot 1:
Slot 2:

Tutaminis Basics:

Tutaminis Basics will teach students about how to absorb energy. Though this class will only teach Acolytes how to absorb small amounts of energy, thus not protecting them from lightsaber attacks or blaster fire, this class lays the groundwork for using their power defensively. Once students have trained extensively in Tutaminis, they should be able to defend themselves with it in combat.

Slot 1:
Slot 2:

Telekinesis Intermediate:

This class is for students that are slightly more advanced in the arts of Telekinesis. I will only accept applicants who have taken my Basics course, an equivalent from another instructor, or that can provide sufficient examples of their basic competency in the art. The Intermediate course will focus on refining the student's control, pushing them to grow more powerful with it, and new principles for using the art in more advanced ways.

Slot 1: Raslekx
Slot 2:

Force Spark:

This class is to teach students a very basic, extremely weak form of Force Lightning. It would not be utilizable for PvP combat, except maybe as a quick little shock against weak NPCs. The purpose of this course is to lay a groundwork for students, so that it is easier to learn Lightning once they rank up to Crusader. Using Force Spark in multiple threads before ranking to Crusader and learning the full ability from an instructor will help your character so that they don't burn themselves badly in their first attempts to use Lightning. Force Lightning is a powerful and dangerous ability that even most Crusaders have a difficult time using. I highly recommend this course for all Sith who wish to some day use Lightning in high-risk threads, even if the course itself seems rather small in purpose.

Slot 1: Sari'ndia
Slot 2: Viole Nivar
Slot 3: Kirik Ak'Thaar

Disclaimer:
I have changed the initial post of this thread to reflect a new format to how these classes are fulfilled. Due to the responsibilities I now have, I can no longer offer these threads as first-come, first-serve. These slots are all applications now, but I will do my utmost best to be fair in filling those slots. Thanks for your understanding.
