I'm messaging @Clayton about this. However, something i'd like to point out is that, in the approved profile, it states that the intent of this is to act as a basis for players roleplaying on Corellia, and so that changes to the planet can be made easily due to you being senator. Now that you're no longer controlling Aren Krass, and are unwilling to make changes, it seems like you're pretty directly going against the whole point of this profile.

Okay, first of all, if you're going to claim ownership of the write-up of a canon planet's information and tell people that they can't make changes, then I'll just archive this and allow someone else to start over, cos...that's kind of a dick move. That said, if Dan wants to come along and insist on a complete rewrite of every piece of information you've established, then that's equally a dick move too, and we wouldn't allow that either.

We've had instances in the past where members have deleted their planets or species or technology or declared ownership over those ideas and concepts and things got...messy. Now, this is a canon planet, so it makes it even weirder that you're trying to claim ownership over it, but still, let me lay it out for you and everyone else.

When you submit a planet, species or technology, you can not dictate who can and can't use that article, as you are effectively handing that idea into the public domain for community use. This is especially important with the way we're allowing canon planets to be written up now, as it means that the member that makes the initial post needs to be flexible and be open to new ideas and concepts being introduced to the write-up that other members want to introduce. If the original poster is difficult or AWOL, then the admins can change that information anyway, but obviously we'd prefer you guys to work it out among yourselves.

It's probably also worth mentioning that we're going to be watching this situation, since you two have a bad habit of causing unnecessary drama. I don't think I need to warn you both again about that, so I won't. I'll just hand out punishments the minute I see you two at each other's throats over this.

I'm not trying to be difficult with this at all, as you said, this is a canon profile and I've handed it to the public. In the intent section I said I'm more than happy to work with anyone who wants to use this, and that I want it to be a fun place to make stories. I said originally when this became an issue that if he had edits he would like to make, that he could PM them to me. At the same time, I'm not going to effect a complete overhaul of the entire profile just because he asks for it, and I'm not going to drop whatever I'm doing at the moment to edit the profile for him.

I'm sorry if my position came off as that of a dick move, I was simply trying to state what I stated above. I still feel quite attached to this write up due to the work I put into it. Again, I'm more than happy to accommodate edits so long as they're legitimate reasonable edits :) I think I just got a little offended at the idea that the write up should be reposted in someone else's name considering the amount of time I put into this.

Sorry to be posting here if i am out of place, but i just thought i could perhaps share my two cents on the matter.

@Prudence : I can see where you are coming from, in that you have dedicated a lot of time and effort into writing this planet profile. It's obviously your metaphorical 'baby', from the clear effort and work that has been put into it. That being said, it is understood in the community at large that Senators have the authority to dictate certain things about their planet. So now that @Outlander is the Senator of Corellia, he does have the right to request edits. And considering the political overhaul of Corellia, those edits are necessary, or at the very least, warrant serious consideration.

And one thing of note that i noticed, is as Green Ranger commented, this planet profile is in the public domain, and thereby must be neutral and unbiased. So although i didn't notice anything specific in my cursory glances at this point in time, a planet profile should not be used to reflect opinion, such as something being 'false' by way of news or media outlets. I mention this because this was at one time incorporated in this planet profile, regarding the allegations against Senator Krass being labeled as false. Regardless of how we all feel about that past incident, a public domain profile is not the place or setting to label things like that.

My opinion definitely does not carry as much weight as the two admins that have posted here, but take it for what it is. Here's my two cents. I just thought i would drop it in. :)
