The sun shown over the arctic landscape of Contruum Six, reflecting off the extensive snow and ice that was occasionally interrupted by natural rock. The only exception was the partially visible structure of a former mandalorian base, Base 6. The nearest section to Rancor Squadron was the base's hangar bay. Its durable blast doors had resealed since their last failed assault.
Hauron returned and now with more assistance than before. Sitting a kilometer away from the blast doors were two long vessels that looked reminiscent of beached acquatic animals. They were not ordinary GR-75 transports but were more heavily armed and daubed in the livery of Rancor Squadron. The transports were appropriately named Badger One and Little Badger. A pair of fang class interceptors flew overhead keeping to regular patrols whilst a kom'rk transport came in for a landing, bringing with it the Group Leader of the mercenary battlegroup.
Each of the transports were fully crewed and had brought no less than twenty troops with them. But their numbers were more as a precaution. Such things would not matter once they got inside the base and needed to take things room by room. The badger hoped to not obliterate the base in the process, intending to use it for mandalorians as a waystation and potentially staging ground for future Squadron operations. The system already had a long history with mandalorians which he hoped to build upon.
The weather was calm today and it made it an ideal time to strike. The Rally Master was armed with a Galaar-15 blaster carbine instead of his usual sonic rifle. It was equipped with A new thermic blade was on the man's hip as well adding to his existing arsenal. The two westar-55 heavy blaster pistols were more than likely going to be the main weapons he used in the close quarters. The red and black kama he wore swung slightly as he walked to the edge of the encampment before he stopped and raised a pair of macrobinoculars to his helmet's visor. The rally master focused at the blast doors in the distance, glad to see it remained closed for now.
Lowering the macrobinoculars Hauron turned to look at those that had come to the rally master's call he gave them each a nod. <"How are you all feeling?"> There were roughly sixty mandalorians in reserve but Hauron was going to see to this assault personally. He only needed a small team backed up by a few other small teams to clear the base. This was not something they could simply throw numbers at unless he wanted to throw away mandalorian lives.
