[Concerned] Lore, history and proknowledge?

If you haven't noticed, I have used or alluded to Star Wars extended Universe knowledge from books, video games and MMOs in the roleplay of some of my characters. Now, I don't know if I am being correct in the usage of those influences. I have no idea if the use of those in a roleplay setting is merited and I want to know if it is.

Does this roleplay community operate within the Star Wars Universe as far as lore is concerned? Am I allowed to make historical references in character dialogue and thought if I so pleased?

I know I've already done so, but I never received a report against rules, guidelines and terms of use. I just want to know if it is alright to use the outside resources as it is pleased without fear of being banned from this community. I enjoy being here, the personalities of the admins and other players, and I don't want to be banned over mentioning the Rakatan's Infinite Empire or the love connections between Revan and Bastila.

If it's a well known fact in the Star Wars universe that's been established in canon and as long as your character isnt related, I don't see how mentioning historical facts could be a bad thing.

Well one time or two I had one of my characters speak or thought about one historical reference something to do with Admiral Gaz Stazi from the Star Wars Legeacy Comic book series. I didn't get into any trouble, so other words its okay to make some references to the SW lore.

Absolutely you can make references. This timeline takes place after all of Star Wars canon, so you can reference anything from canon.

Thank you all, I just wanted this to be clear from a myriad of members, rather than from one single admin to show me that the majority of this community is in a collective understanding of my inquiry. This'll also help my character Thor, since I intended to make him a Sith historical "know-it-all" type of character.

That would be appreciated. I know there is the time skip. Perhaps I can go through the archives and find some really good gold in there as well.
