Clan Wren
Clan Wren is a Mandalorian clan currently led by Ghent Wren, and has so far pledged no allegiance to any Mandalorian house or clan since before the Great Purge. Members bear no single defining symbol on their armor, beyond a yellow and golden trim. Any depictions of creatures or patterns are earned through great deeds of valor in combat. For example, the Loth-cat, or the Anooba.
History
A former vassal of Clan Vizsla, they had aligned themselves with Death Watch loyalists during the Clone Wars and aided in the conquest of Mandalore. It was not until Maul’s claim to the throne that they splintered, joining the Mandalorian resistance under Lady Bo-Katan Kryze. Then led by Countess Ursa Wren, she helped capture and escort Maul to Republic forces shortly before its fall. By the time the Empire rose, she had returned to her stronghold on the planet Krownest to train her only daughter, Sabine Wren.
Sabine would eventually return with the Darksaber and challenge Saxon in lightsaber combat, where he met his death at the hands of Ursa Wren. A civil war among the clans would ensue, pitting Wren against Clan Saxon and its Imperial backers. This war would culminate into the destruction of the “Duchess” superweapon, the Saxon clan, and the rise of Bo-Katan as Mand’alor, with Clan Wren pledging their allegiance to her rule.
However, they were nearly destroyed during the Great Purge, and many fell back into their nomadic roots alongside other Mandalorians. A small number returned to Krownest, to live out their days as ordinary hunters, warriors of a bygone era. Today, they are a largely divided group. Some remain strict adherents to the Way. Others as bounty hunters seeking revenge. But of them all, none are so easy to kill.
Assets
At the moment, Clan Wren possess very few outstanding assets. Although they are the current occupants of Krownest, it is a frigid world of mountain and ice with little strategic importance. But do not let this frozen wasteland deceive you into thinking its people are defenseless. Nested between the mountains and a frozen lake, many of the clan are housed in the Wren Stronghold, or as it is traditionally known, the Steel Court.
A stunning complex constructed out of steel and glass, the sprawling stronghold serves as the seat of power for the clan leader and their closest allies. Almost camouflaged with the snow and surrounding forest, it uses a minimalist style, a sign of Mandalorian durability and a testament to Wren’s architectural prowess.
It is guarded by numerous warriors, with at least three patrols of two posted around the estate, and eight Fang-class star fighters on standby in case of airborne attack. There is an underground escape route leading into the mountains too, known only by the Count and his advisors.
Roster
Ghent Wren (NPC) is the current leader and the Count of Clan Wren. His brother had been the previous Count but upon dying of mysterious circumstances, the mantle was passed to him, which he has held for the last three years.
Minerva Wren (PC) is a vengeful mercenary and an adherent of the Way. First a foundling, she married into the clan after meeting Armand Wren, the nephew of Ghent Wren. She gave birth to triplets, and was later honored with the title of Lady Fhirdiad for her devotion to the clan.
Song Wren (PC) is a former bounty hunter and a warrior of Clan Wren. Born as the bastard daughter of Ghent Wren, for a time she'd been exiled for stealing her dead brother's armor, but upon her return, was reinstated and tasked with returning order to her divided clan.
