Jedi Order Mission Pack
!PLEASE READ!
___Hello, everyone!
___Given the success of the first mission pack, I have decided to make another one!
___With these, I am trying a concept I call "Tales."
___Tales will be missions that are part of a series. There will be multiple outcomes for specific tasks in the mission pack, and those missions marked as "Tales" will have follow-up missions directly tied to them, specifically labelled as "1 of X." The participants will determine the follow-up missions, selecting one of the outcomes offered in the mission pack's thread.
___Each outcome will have different rewards and push the narrative in another direction, sometimes "good," sometimes "bad," and it's up to the participants to decide the story themselves!
___I hope everyone finds this idea and how it works to their liking! As always, please feel free to offer constructive feedback!

Please attempt to keep posts within 48 hours of one another. This is in place to help expedite the completion of the missions and finish them in a timely manner. This does not apply to posts that happen on weekends.

___Throughout history, corporations and the Empire have continuously exploited the planet. The miners have disputed with the mining operations companies before, demanding better wages, safety, and other compensation, and, as they say, history is doomed to repeat itself. The enterprises and miners are again at odds with one another, and the planet is on the brink of civil war. There have already been reports of rebellious miners waylaying corporate caravan security escorting supplies, and if this trend continues, full-scale conflict is inevitable.
___We are dispatching a group of diplomats and those interested in learning diplomacy to the planet Bandomeer in hopes of reaching a peaceful resolution with which both sides are satisfied. If we can help negotiations reach a violent-free conclusion, we will undoubtedly earn the planet's favour. If talks fall apart, it will be up to us to help restore order one way or the other.

___However, the Jedi are not going to Ord Mantell with the sole intention of killing any Hutt Cartel present. As always, we intend to seek a resolution through diplomacy or subterfuge by disrupting their operations and acquiring any additional assets discovered. Once we drive the Hutts off-world and the planet is secured for the senator, not only would the Jedi Order gain another ally and world on which to stage future operations, but we also gain all of the resources, factories, and otherwise, it offers as part of our agreement with the senator.
___Any Jedi seeking to engage in diplomacy with Ord Mantell are encouraged to approach cautiously. The senator is intelligent and will demand practical arguments, facts, and grounded reasoning to allow the Jedi on his planet. He is an old dog of war, and the Jedi will not win him over with honeyed words and promises of peace and prosperity. We must ensure we appeal to and respect John Tyr, his beliefs, and his way of life.

___However, Ajan Kloss is a planet teeming with life. As long as the world has been unchecked, there may have been a spike in hostile or aggressive wildlife. There may also be settlements of people we are unaware of, and if there are, they may take issue with our presence. We should do our utmost to ensure smooth negotiations if required and reassure any denizens that the Jedi are not there to take their homes from them but offer protection and assistance if needed or requested.
___Anyone choosing to take this mission should bear these things in mind. First and foremost, the Order is going to Ajan Kloss to unearth and acquire any lingering, salvageable assets from the previous rebel occupation. Secondly, take utmost caution to respect, reason, and negotiate with any local settlements that may take issue with the presence of the Order on their planet.

As with most missions in a pack, this one is intended to be Self-DM like the rest. That said, the theme is supposed to be spooky! Please try to keep it that way! I'll provide a description of the thing that the Jedi will encounter in the Shadowlands when the time is appropriate!

A patchy holorecording shows a horrified man wrapped in what appears to be white, gooey tendrils.
"T-This is... Dr. Bleys Vane, Ecologist... we—"
The transmission cuts into static, then flashes back on.
"—Kashyyyk Shadowlands... studying..."
The death throes of another person, presumably a scientist, drown out the man's words.
"...a creature n-never seen before. We don't kn—"
Another cut in the transmission causes grating static and white noise. It lasts for several minutes, then comes back on.
"—an Irzêona—"
Once more, the holorecording fizzles and shudders. It lasts even longer, although the recording has time left before it ends. The projection remains unintelligible before flickering back to life, with the man identified as Bleys drifting out of sight. His eyes are rolled back, and his face and torso are covered with disgusting, slimy, pulsating tendrils. A sickening sound like a splat echoes from the recording, and more off-white appendages surround the recording to obscure vision. It lasts for only a few more seconds before the recording abruptly ends.
