Hiraya is a 16 year-old Padawan of the Jedi Order. He is a Tiefling, stands at 186 centimeters (6'1"), and weighs approximately 154lbs (70kg). He has spiky and messy shoulder-length hair, black horns, red eyes, and pale skin.

Biography

“Just tell me if I'm speaking too fast. I'll go slow!”

The only (adopted) son to a lively Devaronian mother and a quiet but caring human father, Hiraya was born in the slums of Nar Shadda and was sold as a slave at a young age. Though he had no memories of his horrible childhood due to certain... circumstances, the young Tiefling was rescued by a group of Sector Rangers and was eventually relocated to an orphanage somewhere in Coruscant. Unable to piece together the shattered fragments of his memories, the then nameless Tiefling escaped from the orphanage once he was strong enough to do so. Hungry and wandering the bustling streets of the ecumenopolis, he was - once again - abducted by slavers.

Enter Pollux Manawari, a stoic but compassionate Ranger who managed to intercept the kid's abduction. Since there were no records of the boy's identity - and really, he'd just be taken back to the orphanage at this point - Pollux conferred with his wife as to what to do regarding the kid's situation. Husband and wife decided to foster the little Tiefling for the time being. Long story short they fell in love with the kid, the kid fell in love with them, and a year later, after fighting for his custody, the boy finally became a legal Manawari.

Hiraya's life changed tremendously after that. Although the link to his past was severed by the slavers who abducted him, Hiraya chose to honor his nameless, unknown parents by living his life as best as he could and by loving the couple who adopted him as if he was their biological child. He gave his best in his studies and strove to be a helpful and kind individual much like his adoptive parents.

And when he discovered that he was Force-sensitive?

Well, being a Jedi was a no-brainer.

Hiraya is a scrappy young man who revels in fighting dirty, so expect underhanded tactics from him. His marksmanship skills flat out sucks, but he makes up for it with his speed and agility. He knows how to cook, clean, and look after other people. The Tiefling is a sneaky bastard, but instead of utilizing his stealth skills in training and missions, he finds greater joy in using them in harmless pranks. He's a singer and a self-proclaimed graceful dancer but sadly, he has two left feet.

When the room suddenly becomes rowdy and noisy, expect Hiraya to be in the middle of it. The Padawan is often described as an exuberant, compassionate young man. Hiraya is rather tall and somewhat lanky for his age, with long, manicured nails painted an alternating black and red. His long tail is pointed and the tip is shaped like a crooked heart, which he uses to grab/carry stuff and hug other people with (dude's a hugger, just... forgive him). Hiraya is always sporting an edgy, somewhat punk/goth aesthetic that belie his bright, sunshiny personality.
