With the top brass vanishing, there'll be a power gap. OOCly, it's been decided that Ols' count will be taking control. However, realistically, Dark Siders wouldn't just go with the flow like this. Some would try to take control. For a plot, I am suggesting a Dark Master or two try to seize control.

Okay yeah this is a superb idea. Let's think about how many Dark Masters we have! :CHappy

We just don't have enough for anything classy to happen.

It also opens the window for the faction to have to spend so much time focusing on internal problems that everyone else comes in and kills the faction.

One thing that Banik talked about on more than one occasion and tried to teach people was that infighting does nothing but hurt the group, not strengthen it. The goal was for people to control the dark side, not for the dark side to control them.

As much as I'd love to see the other factions crash and burn, I don't feel like this is a good idea from an OOC standpoint.

IC, yes, something like this might happen, but it will certainly grind the Bogan to a halt. Not to mention the setup time and the execution, but the very real chance that another civil war would begin when the new bogan was appointed, along with tying up and wearing down your resources which would open you to an external strike.

I'm all for overthrows and some good old fashioned bloodspillin', but like Bac said it's much better to take the hurt to the Jedi and not yourselves.

This sounds absolutely exciting, imo. It really fits in well with what would really happen, regardless of the last regime. The Sith civil war that occurred after Malak's death is testament to that.

Besides the fact that is sounds really, really fun, it's realistic. Frankly, we could always replenish the ranks with new characters retconed to being the survivors.

It's quite uncharacteristic of the faction IC. This isn't the Sith that have grown up to revere and plot to kill their masters. The Bogan are revered as gods in their empire, they work for a strong future, not in-fighting. They don't crave power as the Sith do, they're more calculated, and believe in the ideal that they are working towards a big endgame (aka the destruction of the Jedi). Anyone leading a rebellion to seize power would be dealt with most severely.

Not to mention the fact it would be hard to orchestrate. Nescius has a solid powerbase, the support of the military and the majority of the Dark Jedi faction (IC at least, as without it he wouldn't be in the position he is). He's been in the faction for 30 years, since they were still Ospion Guardians, having that level seniority makes him a respected master (he's survived in a very cut throat environment, and has infiltrated the very top levels of the Republic in that time, not to mention having trained a number of apprentices). If you do do soemthing like this, make sure to take that into account for your IC reasoning.

Why? They're our allies, and are beneficial to our cause, which is to stamp out the Jedi, our main enemies. I can see possibly in the future maybe going after the Hutts, but not at a point where our arch enemies still breath.

We are strong. Our military is big and well trained and well equipped, our fleets are vast and boast state of the art capital ships and fighters. We have an empire. The Dark Jedi are revered as gods.

As for faction policy, we currently have a treaty with the Hutts and are not looking to attack them, and due to the events of Noob Hill are on aggressive terms, it seems, with the Jedi.

Not nearly as strong as the Hutts though, they'd obliterate the Bogan Empire in little time at all if they really wanted to.

The Bogan wouldn't stand a chance against the Hutt Empire.

Ols, you're forgetting someone: Jord. Jord was third in command of the faction. He could always claim he broke out of Jedi custody and tries to unite the Bogan under him. IIRC, the Bogan don't know yet of Jord's betrayal, except fellow prisoner Albedo, who recently escaped. If Jord deals with Albedo, then the Bogan won't know of Jord's betrayal.

And to ask for the most likely question to arise: Why would he when he's reformed? Easy. He could be secretly cooperating with the Jedi to take the Bogan under his control and plot to move Bogan attention away from the Jedi and onto the Hutts.

The Hutts wouldn't betray the Bogan as the Bogan occupy the Jedi's time.

That's only true if you're working under the assumption that numbers and territory mean everything.

This is all funny to me considering the Hutts just declared war on the Bogan xD

The Hutts declaring war on the Bogan is undoubtedly the single most stupid thing any faction has done on this website since its inception. I'm sorry, it's just absurdly stupid. It has nothing to do with anything that makes any real sense IC and has everything to do with the well known and unfounded OOC paranoia of the high ranking Hutt leadership.
