I don't give a shit about Aquaman, but that one version I've seen with the hook hand makes him look far cooler tbh.

I like Aquaman in his many incarnations from the goofy to the serious. Hook hand making him cool is essentially the same as people thinking adding pouches and shoulder pads to comic book characters was cool in the 90's.

Uhm, no it's not.

I just enjoy that aesthetic/design choice more than others I've seen. There's nothing else to it really.

Nothing wrong with that. I liked the version of him in the Bruce Timm Justice League Cartoon. It gave a great narrative on how he got it too.

I think what they meant though is that it was a way for DC to make him more "edgy" because... 90's. I dunno.

And just as you feel that I feel like the hook hand is as I said. Man, I love when people can have two different views and opinions on things.

Agreed on both counts. If they did something cool in the film like they did in the cartoon where he got the hooked replacement because he had to cut his own hand off to free himself and save his son then yeah I think it would jive.

Aquaman just showing up with a hooked hand is a bit too much. Kaeb, you may not feel that way, but that's generally what giving Aquaman the hand is.

Another version I liked is when they gave him a water hand. Aquaman's power set includes hydro and electrokinesis (normally via magic) so a magical water hand that he could use as a regular hand and then form into a weapon if he needed would be favorable to me.

I can't think of any from Man of Steel, but I expect if I see Batman/Superman that most of the humor will be unintentional.

I can understand why they would do that. It bolsters the story of Superman allowing mass destruction to happen, by giving him a constant reminder of his failure.

I'm sure they'll do it in an exceptionally stupid way, but as a concept it's fine.

It is. In fact it's only really funny because it's on top of all the other super srs business stuff that's reported as being in the film.

That said, I'll be disappointed if the only relevant character that actually criticizes Clark's performance against Zod is Luthor... the bad guy.

Hopefully Batman provides that foil.

I'm glad that McNairy isn't playing the Flash.
