The interesting part is going to be seeing what Batman thinks of Wonder Woman. What happens when he figures out that there is an entire world filled with people just as dangerous as superman?

Most of the fan reviews I've read are all really positive. It's relative split with critics though (I believe it is 25 pos to 37 rot), and I'm not surprised. That said, I'm still totally looking forward to this.

The thing I glean from those, which is by no means representative of the whole, is the fan reviews either make a lot of caveats for the film. I think it can ultimately be broken down into "Did you like/tolerate Man of Steel?" then you will probably come away enjoying this one too.

My Brother in Law got an early showing to this on Monday. He loves it, and he's a big Batman/DC fan. He didn't say much yet since we still need to talk about it, but one thing he has said was that Ben Affleck is great as Batman/Bruce Wayne.

I liked Man of Steel, but I just showed really no interest in this and disliked a lot of things I heard. Maybe I'll see this in an early showing if I got nothing to do on a weekend.

Man of Steel would have been a roaring success if A) they didn't make Superman perpetually brooding. This is superman, not Dark Knight. We want some nice lighthearted one liners and classic superhero action, not twenty minutes of Clark Kent sitting in the dark thinking. And B) patched up some of those nasty plot holes with a bit of added details and explanation. They really detracted from the story after a while. Example: why not colonize Mars? Why earth?

It was for the same reason all those other colonization efforts by Kryptonians dried up and failed, and why they couldn't terraform any of the other planets they'd come across before Earth. Apparently, they could only terraform woulds that met a certain standard or criteria. Earth seemed to have met it. The World Engine didn't create breathable atmospheres (Kryptonians could breathe Earth air), it seemed to just modify them

I also think that DC fans will like it more than most other people because of just how much DC lore is in the movie, and how much set up there is for Justice League. And that set up is going to leave the average moviegoer super confused because, from what I'm hearing too, nothing's really explained all that clearly.

Zack Snyder proved to me with Watchmen that he's good at making a movie that appeals to the core fans, but that the average moviegoer will walk away from saying "huh?" That seems to continue here.

I really couldn't get behind man of steel... and I love the justice league... but as @+SpaceJesus+ said it would be much better if superman has less of a brooding attitude and was not the dark knight...

Did they ever explain that on screen? Cause if they did, well kudos to them I just missed it. If not, that's exactly what I'm saying. Some of these things could be solved by a simple explanation.

My cousin is telling me he heard it sucks. I hope it doesn't, cause both of us are taking our girlfriends to the movie.

So please don't suck.

Something tells me you will enjoy it, and that this film will be as divisive as Man of Steel.

If it has Batman in it, I'm sure I'll like it. And yes I completely agree with you, this movie will be pretty divided.

Part of me wants to see it, another part says I should just watch "Batman Returns" and "The Dark Knight" instead.

I myself will be watching the Superman and Batman Animated Series Crossover episodes "World's Finest" then the first few episodes of Justice League "Secret Origins".

Is it just me or are all mainstream movies so...dark? Both in lighting, tone and forgetfulness.

I've heard a couple positive, a handful who said they at least had fun, and waves of responses that are not flattering. I won't rule out confirmation bias though.
