Yes my character is still in the fight, looking for a weakness or opening to exploit.

Thanks for the clarification. I have done some more research and Force Push would not really assist you in escaping the attacks. The way I pictured it would very difficult to duck under the incoming sabers based on their speed pf sabers and size of the room.

Raydo holds a point. Force pushes don't work in the manner in which you have described, Aaron. If Damian sends a push into the ceiling of the Main Hall, its impacting the ceiling not him. Even if there was an expectancy of push back, he's still getting hit with Reland's Force push, which is launching him in the direction of Kronos'.

Though with that in mind, if Reland had moved so Damion was sandwiched between him and Kronos, how did Damian even know those sabers were coming?

Editted, and he threw the blades before Reland attacked and one of them is Damion's which he had thrown earlier.

I still don't think it would work without getting hit by Kronos' blades. He is throwing them at speeds of blaster blots. For him to gather the energy he needs for it thrust back at him and shoot him in the air, I don't believe there is enough time. I think a sloppy (meaning on the whim) force jump up will save his skin the fastest, he will get out the path of Reland's Force push and then out of the path of the incoming lightsabers.

If you notice, Sid addressed the throw as well, I don't believe edits are necessary.

I have tried to find one instance where someone used force push to move their own body, or even Force Pull to pull THEMSELVES closer to an object and I could not find it. You use the power in this way twice in your post (Once to aid in a jump and once to help land without harm) GABA even gave you way to defend yourself without using Force Push in the way you are trying.

Obiwan and Anakin's pushes against each other clashed and rebounded on them, sending them both flying backwards from their own attacks. Battle of Mustafar, Episode 3.

That is not what Damien did in his actions, he threw the push back into the floor, not back at Reland, which if he did would have sent his sith back into the incoming sabers.

You need to consider that fact that it might not have rebounded like it may look like. one force push may have encompassed the other, breaking th ebalance and each push effect each user; The pushes may have gone through each other (taking the time to do so) much like a semipermiable surface...; or some other reason? it's not a FACT that they rebounded off of each other, we're only reduced to speculation. (that and you can't ALWAYS expect things seen in movies to be facts, because often times things tend to contradict each other-- I mean take Any X-man movie, and you will find at least a dozen mistake that contradict the comics. Even comics contradict each other ALLLLLL the time.

The rebounding, if I am remembering correctly, was actually confirmed in the Matthew Stover novelization of Revenge of the Sith.

This how is how the Star Wars wikia describes it:

"A trained Force user could resist Force Push, presumably by generating an opposing pressure surge whose wavefront canceled out their opponent's attack. The opponent usually responded by ramping up the pressure to compensate for the increased resistance. From here it became a telekinetic arm-wrestling match, with a seemingly motionless facade belying each combatant's desperate struggle to overpower the other. As events progressed, a pocket of air equidistant from the opponents would have been slowly compacted, until the pressure reached sufficient strength to bend duranium like kshyy vines. As the pressure increased, the pocket would begin to rapidly destabilize, until even the smallest atmospheric disturbance would cause it to rupture. When the pressure reached a critical threshold, the bubble would burst, generating a powerful shockwave. A textbook example was provided by Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi when their duel progressed into the control room of the mining platform on Mustafar. The two had simultaneously used the ability while resisting each other's at the same time. Like magnets of the same pole, the combined force eventually hurled them violently to opposite sides of the room."

Just doesn't seem like the same thing to me. Just my opinion.

Hmm, I was mistaken then. Thanks for the wikiquote.

At any rate, I do agree that Aaron needs to edit; even by pouring the energy he would have used for the push/pull into his force jump he could have sloppily avoided getting bisected without any sort of additional flair.

Aaron posted in Personal Notifications that he will be leaving the site, at least for an unspecified while, due to RL circumstances.

I would recommend talking to an admin about how to proceed.

I was told that these type of threads have a six week time limit in them and today marks six weeks. Do we go ahead and close this out or what? I wish it would have gone further, but I am looking to get on with next threads after Anoth.
