Coruscant, Downtown district.
Jack Seypkas Office
2100 Hours.
Jack Seypka would be standing up next to his big wooden desk facing outside the rather large window of his office. His pale blue eyes scanning the bright lights along the buildings and taking it all in. His office was on the 109th floor and had large windows all around him that were auto dimming so he never needed blinds if it got to bright. Papers and books/records were stacked in piles on the sides of his desk and he had a few bookshelves alongside the wall facing the door. It was a blend of modern and old as his ashtray lay next to his work. Two small couches across from one another with a round glass table between them held a half full whiskey decanter set. The room smelled of oak and whiskey as Jack kept his back to the door and looking out.

Shifting his gaze down he would check his wrist as a hologram clock shined with time emerged from the face of it and was suspended in the air with a small beam. "She should be here soon." he said to himself quietly with his usual flat tone. He was expecting company. The company he was expecting was that of MorataCorps Chief Executive Officer and the one he answers to, that's right..His boss. Big changes have happened in Moratacorp and the company was kept very busy and on tight schedule. So busy in fact Jack never ran into Dr Morata since she first came to him personally about joining the board at his casino.

His right hand bore a glass of whiskey it in it with a exactly two small ice cubes clinking together quietly as he moved. The brown liquid only filling up a quarter of the finely detailed glass he held as he couldn't help but wonder what she was doing by visiting him at this time. It could be anything with her but Jack knew all to well it's always buisness oriented since it seemed urgent she wanted to see him. Raising the glass to his lips he would take a sip from his drink and let it go back down to his side in his hand. His attire was that of what he typically wore, A white dress shirt with suspenders including a holstered blaster pistol that sat on his side by his chest under neath his long black coat and black dress pants with shiny black shoes.

It should be any moment before she came in. Sighing he would set his glass down on his desk and remove a metal tray full of rolled cigarras. He would remove one carefully and tap the end of it lightly off the metal case before plopping the smoke in the corner of his mouth. He would reach in his pocket and remove a lighter that he brought up to his lips and lit the end of the cigarra. Sliding the lighter back in he would take a long drag of the cigarra as the end slowly burned and exhaled it through his nose as he kept his back to the door and faced the window until her arrival.

She could trust no one in the galaxy, except for two. But neither of them could help her by this point. One of her own would have to show that he had some brand of the initiative MC needed. The rest of those that she had within her company originally either vanished, such as Lorcan, or ceased to exist. That left Jack.

A man she wasn't sure she could trust beyond what she could pay him. However, he had remained steadfast for this long, loyalty like that deserved to be paid in kind.

The Telomere descended through the thick clouds of Coruscant, careful to avoid the hungry crowds of paparazzi and other media. These days she had to be careful, and mindful of how she went about the galaxy, and her wide network of contacts. Once approaching, she walked slowly towards his office.

Overhead, thunderclouds loomed, threatening rain.

Once she entered the office, her voice was low, quiet. Amber eyes glittered coldly through the distance, but a smile remained on her lips.

"Jack. It's been too long."

Jack Seypka would continue his gaze out at the city below his office. Ships of every size and manufacturer were blazin' in every direction with the flows of traffic as the lights seemed to buzzin' along the backdrop of the grey clouds slowly forming over the neon city. His eyes steadily glazing over the beautiful scenary as for the few years he worked there he could never ever get sick of the view as coming from nothing he wouldn't take anything for granted.

A voice of the CEO herself would call out quietly behind him that would make the man snap out of his beautiful trance he managed to fixiate himself in. He would turn slowly to focus towards her as his pale blue icey eyes would look at her as if he was reading into her soul. The cigarra burning ever so slightly in his hand as he nodded to her. "Doctor." he would say quietly as he took a long drag from his cigarra before dapping the ends of it into the tray. The ash falling slowly in the air as he tapped it.

"What do I owe the honor of such a visit?" he wasn't a jovially or a warm welcoming person. If anything he was nothing short of a rock and a hard place. Like a determined wave building itself in the rough seas and driven with force which showed in his work and his buisness savvy. He wasn't interested in bullshit and excuses. Giving it all into something such as MorataCorp and his casino took up his schedule but making time for the CEO as she was the boss, anyone else he would book them in when he had time.

Reaching slowly to grab his glass of whiskey and take a sip as he set it back down and waited for her reply. He also would motion to the beautiful custom whiskey decanter set on the round table in the middle of the office by the couches as he added. "May I get you a drink? Please, have a seat." regardless if it was good news or bad news he was still polite and proper to offer her a seat as though he was a former crime member and did a lot of bad things, he still believed in giving those in good books the proper treatment of respect.

The thunder would begin to come as rumbling was low but steady. Picking up every few minutes as the dark clouds began to come over the city much quickly. Small pecks of rain began to hit the surrounding windows of his office as the impact of the rain would let the droplets run down the window in small streaks. The darkening ahead caused Jack's automatic sensored lights in his office flick on as a calming amber glow would fill the corner of the room with a ambient light. Similar to having a sidelamp lit in a dark room. Enough light to see but not in the nearest bright.

Just as Jack's eyes burned into her, flat ambers stared right back. Throughout their time from the first moment of creating MorataCorp until now, Jack had remained a steadfast employee. Never once questioning her judgment, but accepting it. She slowly stepped in, gaze panning over the office in its' opulence. A world away from the former flat she rented in the beginning.

Taking a slow seat, she shook her head once. "No thank you. As you know, I wouldn't visit in person unless it was serious." Amber eyes faced him head on, features virtually expressionless.

"You might have known that I once had a bodyguard droid, N4-X4. He betrayed me to the Syndicate, and brought a furious member to my door. Preef Callo."

The name was spoken coolly, but she wouldn't wait to be interrupted. "As Chief of Research, I want you to look into any minor medical corporations in the Outer Rim. I want you to assess if they are a risk, and if so, if they can be bought out into our own team. With the AMS viral research on our company, it's likely there will be attempts to breach security to steal valuable research."

She laced her fingers together, and, crossing one knee, looped them over it, staring at him calmly. "And without a bodyguard detail, I, and other board members such as yourself, will also likely become targets. Therefore, from now on I leave you and your connections in charge of security on Thyferra."

It was a heavy duty, with a heavier price tag. But a thin smile touched her lips. "With it comes a substantial pay raise. I need you to look over our current security, and hire on a team of experts you trust to ensure maximum security. With my bodyguard gone, security of our interests is paramount."

She tilted her head slightly, allowing him to process the offer she was presenting. "Do you accept these terms?"

Jack Seypka would be drinking his whiskey quietly as the CEO of MorataCorp laid it out in front of him on what was happening. Jack sat on the opposite side of her on the couch as his face never flinched or changed looks in her divulgence of telling him what happened to the previous head of security and the issues that would follow insuit with the betrayel of the droid. Preef Callo, the legendeary gunslinger and boss was going to be a big issue but the reaction was quiet and cool from Jack as he listened intently.

Jack would wait until she was done speaking as he finally replied to her requests. "I will have my people look into the small medical companies, I wouldn't worry to much if they are going to try to steal our research they'll blow themselves into a hole of debt they can't climb out of to even try to reach us." he would remark flatly. A small time company would need to waste everything they had financially and try to come up with more to have the assets to take on Morata.

Flicking his cigarra on another glass ashtray on the center table as he put it back into his mouth and took a drag and continued right away with his monotone expression. "Understood." he commented in regards to them being a target as he figured they would always be a target for their position. His brain would begin to go to work on what is availiable and what security details are worth binding up a contract with. His eyes seemed to burn a hole in his drink in his typical thought as he was brought back by her final question.

"Yes, We have a deal. Send me the pricing contract and title paperwork straight away." with that he would stand up as he knew she wasn't sticking around and had business to attend to. It seemed it was more weight thrown on his shoulders as he was now working the jobs of two board members. A work load only remotely near as heavy as the CEO's herself. It wasn't easy but thats why the money was there. Things move, money talks.

He would walk her to the door with his whiskey in his hand as his face still seemed the same. Soon as she left he was getting straight to work as it seemed he would sleep when he was dead. No rest for the wicked. The thunder cracked overhead and the rain began to become more fierce as the soft patters on the windows of his office began to pick up and become more loud and frequent as the rain was heavy.
