Natalie waved a hand, refusing Keck's offer of the sushi. Letting the lil' guy gorge himself on strange sushi just meant more unhealthy snacks from the vending machine could be hers! And there was a vending machine right the- Oh wow. There was a vending machine alright, and it just so happened to have some poor man's head stuck through the glass while the rest of his body sat perched on their side.

"Guess we should free him, huh?" she said, making up an excuse to break the vending machine window. Natalie sent the Force into the vending machine window, shattering it and opening it to all who wanted the sugary snacks inside. She herself grabbed a couple bags of sticky-butter wafers. "Grab what you can, buddy. Got a feeling we're gonna be in this for a while." She would wait for Keck to grab whatever he wanted from the vending machine, completely forgetting to even move the body she was "freeing" out of the way.

Natalie turned and followed the Orc with Keck snacks (@Xorism ) to the first door. If something was going to happen, she most certainly wanted to be with the biggest fella in the room.

To say that Ferrin was sketched out was a grave understatement. The Pantoran was vaguely aware of the words being spoken behind him, jaw set into a firm line as he slowly navigated the station.

His golden eyes eventually flicked over to the two individuals that opted to join him. Though he didn’t know Vanya well, the Pantoran immediately recognized her as Jedi and someone he could undoubtedly trust going forward, which was more than could be said for the others. His gaze narrowed a bit when Raish opted to follow suit. Harmless as the woman appeared at a glance, the fact that she had only just been literally eating people.. Wasn’t something he would soon forget.

“I doubt it,” Ferrin said after a moment, exhaling through his nostrils. “Whether they are alive or dead now, those screams were organic. Or recorded from someone who was.” He said confidently. He wasn’t convinced that the droid and anguish laced into those cries was anything but genuine, and it only left the Jedi increasingly on edge as he stepped through the metallic structure.

“I’m Ferrin,” He said after a moment, introducing himself with a nod.

As they progressed towards the central column, Ferrin allowed his consciousness to expand all around them - immersing himself into the Living Force, not its every ripple and ebb. attempting to sense the presence of additional, organic life amongst them. He attempted to feel for the presence of any organic life amongst them, anything that might hint they weren’t alone in the corridors ahead.

Akio had taken up refuge behind the Mandalorian for the time. Yet the man simply stood there stoic and unwavering. He decided to follow the group to the next area. Akio was about to walk past the one(@Logan) with animalistic dietary habits. She was playing with her limp arm. It startled the Fiani causing the fur on his tail to bristle as he was walking past. "I'm A-akio, w-what's your name?"

As the group reached the greeting area he looked around trying to take in his surroundings. He knelt down and picked up one of the blaster pistols. Quickly wiping off the blood and checking its ammo capacity. He watched as the vending machine was assaulted with the force. Using the force, he pulled a pack of rainbow treats to him. Looking to the other figures realizing many in the group seemed to be rather scary individuals.

Akio made his way to the Orc(@Xorism) at the next door.
"Do you know how to open it?" He looked over at the massive individual. Unsure if they were a slicer type or not. Only thing he knew was that he wanted to leave this place soon.

With their exit from the hanger bay blocked for the foreseeable future, the people enticed into trying to solve the troubles caused by the station and its new inhabitant began to split up. A divide began to show as two groups seemed to organically form; those who were intent on finding the source of the scream and those who wanted to investigate the current scene before making their next move.

With Rivia (@PurpleDelta) ready to quickdraw as she checked out the darkened corners and ceilings around them, and Trini (@AutoFox) activating her night vision mode, the rest of the group remaining around the entrance area would find themselves reasonably safe. Both of them would be able to see many more bodies - it appeared that some of them had been dragged into piles off to the side, stacked in oddly neat pyramids against the walls.

A hatch above the terminals was open, the metal hatch itself swaying slightly as if in a breeze but, of course, there was no breeze.

Under the watchful eyes of Rivia, Trini and Keck (@Shalken), S'kenji (@LouJoVi) and Skyshatter (@Mythos) would begin the most time-honored of traditions when it came to adventuring; looting the bodies. Rooting through the pockets, S'kenji would come up with several dozen credits and a security key card, which the young senko fiani would soon realize was supposed to be white but the previous owner's blood had left it dripping red.

Whereas Skyshatter found only one item of note; a single syringe of bright green fluid with a cap to protect the actual needle-end. There were no identifying features to the syringe and the contents were unlike anything Skyshatter would have ever seen before. It stood to reason that it had been developed on site as the body he looted it from had been wearing a white labcoat. The datapads he found, however, were not of any real use - they appeared to have been owned by visitors to the station and included pictures of friends, family and some information relating to their jobs as health and safety surveyors... apparently the station had a few violations, including a lack of good handrails, terrible patch jobs on the main reactor and bad food preparation hygiene standards.

At the only active terminal in the bank, Trodai (@Akheron) would find that it was both powered and unlocked. It was a fairly basic model that had a few functions available - a quick search would find that only one program seemed to be responding as the others seemed to flicker and 'glitch' on the screen. The only working program was labeled "Lorelai, Personal Assistant Mode". It would be something that Trodai would recognise as a program akin to a 'dumb' AI assistant that would answer generic and relevant questions about an installation - the station they currently found themselves on in this case.

Beside Trodai, Spurius' attempts to make contact via the messaging app would result in radio silence for a few moments. It was broken, however, by an alert that a new chat had been started - a red circle with a number one sitting there on the messaging app. If Spurius went to the home page of the app, he would see something very interesting indeed.

*Bridge Staff Voice Call Started - Join?*

To the side, Skyshatter’s approach to the two corpses off to the side on their own was slowed by his collecting of a sidearm but not by much. As he approached, he would begin to see details of the two - the one on the ground appeared to have had the skin of his back flayed off but the deeper groves would let the man know it hadn’t been intentional, it had been the result of numerous slashes with a vibroblade. In the dim light of the lighting sticks he had thrown before, the former Jedi Knight would see that the person standing was dead as well, their eyes wide open but glassy and unseeing. What was odd, though, was that the corpse was standing in a way that would be impossible without support… and the supports became clearer as he approached.

Glints of silver caught the eye that ran along the length of the man’s body, running up and down his limbs. Metallic wires, like those threaded to make electrical wires, threaded themselves through the man’s clothing, skin and muscles. He was literally wired into place like a parody of a puppet entangled in it’s strings. Whereas Skyshatter was intent to examine from a reasonably safe distance, Laeonas (@Tom) decided to get in closer and start rooting around in their pockets. As he was collecting the few loose credits and another security pass (this one without a bloody coating), Laeonas and Skyshatter both would be able to watch as the wired man’s mouth opened, suddenly, with an audible Crack.

Before their eyes, silver electronic wires began to spread out of his mouth, blossoming like a demented flower from the man’s throat. Sparks danced across the tips of the wires as they bloomed outward, spreading in an almost organic way. They didn’t seem to be seeking out either of the men but acting out of some twisted form of instinct instead.

_______

Others proceeded forward beyond the entry area, further toward where they’d heard the distance scream. Past the terminals and corpses, further into the station itself toward its center.

[ @Phoenix @Hastur @Logan @Versok @Xorism @TheDudeMike @Altaris @Acceber @Javier esschoolbus ]

The next door opened with a simple touch of the console. It slid smoothly open, save for the last several inches where metal ground against metal, durasteel bent and twisted from some great force that’d bent it out of place. Thump, thump, thump went the last area of door, stuck in a loop of fruitlessly trying to close all the way. Thump, thump, thump.

There within sight was a long hallway. Sliding electronic doors lined the sides, each with different labels. Research, Sentient Resources, Employee Lounge 3, Janitor Storage. A security checkpoint on the left side was obvious for its signage and big, obvious window. Every inch of glass was painted with viscera and blood.

The longer each adventurer looked down the hallway the longer it would seem to be. Simple fear of the unknown, adrenaline and no more. But just beneath hearing there was something like a sound. There, and yet, no quite there at all. Some of it came from the comm speakers on the wall. Perhaps it was paranoia, a trick of the imagination, a glitch of a computer system shattered and broken by Instance 13. Whatever it was, it was horrible.

Sobbing voices, tortured and twisted through the corruption of audio. It was impossible to tell how much of it was truly heard so much as felt. Were these the last cries for mercy of Instance 13's victims? There was only one way to find out.

Two stretched out with the Force in search of life. @Ferrin Sipal and @Kavi Medah looked for survivors, witnesses, citizens, anything they could rescue or could provide an answer. They heard the sound loudest of all.

In the distance beyond the station’s core, they felt life. And, they felt terror. One source felt closest. It was hiding somewhere and all it felt was fear with the slightest, smallest spark of hope for rescue or salvation.

Beyond the hall, through the far door, was the central core. And just before that door a lone figure shuffled aimlessly against the corner wall. It was obviously a protocol droid by all appearances. Thump, thump, thump it went as it tried to walk through solid metal. Its photoreceptors were cracked from the efforts, clearly at it for hours. It mumbled to itself, indiscernible and blunted by vocabulary static.

Thump, thump, thump.

Ferrin and Kavi, roll a d20 each. Going forward post only once per DM post. Player time limit is 48h, after which you will time out.

Trini dutifully copied the number into her headset's comm function, handing Laeonas' device back to him afterward. Shouldering her ion weapon, she nodded at the Brentaalan's suggestion that they keep moving, glancing around at the others.

Her gaze lingered on the stacked bodies, and she shuddered. A mere beast might have simply piled them, the way this had been done implied something much more thoughtful than she liked.

"Years ago, before you and I met, myself and another friend - Corran, I think you'd like him - went to Nar Shaddaa. We were following Zeezee, who at the time had recovered something about the last mission he and his last Master were on before he spent a few centuries rusting on Raxus Prime in a crashed starfighter. Anyway, we followed him and some strange 2-1B droid he had fallen in with, and wound up in a secret lab well below street level. The place had been abandoned, but there was something down there..."

Trini, lost in thought, bumped into Laeonas' legs as he paused to rifle the pockets of the grotesquely wired corpse. She shuddered, taking a step back from the thing.

"Oh that's... kark, that's new." The Amaran managed with another shudder of revulsion. "Didn't see anything like that last time. How do you suppose-"

There was an audible crack as the corpse's jaw unhinged, and Trini gave a yelp as sparking wires bloomed from the mouth, fanning out in all directions. Instinctively, the Amaran brought up her ion blaster and let loose with a shot.

"Karking kriff!!"

Cremek shuddered, this shit was getting scary.

"You know what.. fuck this.. why not just torch the station?.."

Cremek said out loud, sighing to himself

"I don't think they care that much.."

He turned to the others with him

Having had his head buried in the datapad it would be the sudden crack of an ion weapon that snapped him out of his research (@AutoFox) and with surprise the squire would jump in his seat. Turning his head to the commotion he too would witness the unholy amalgamation of wire and flesh and without thought stand and begin to observe. "By the force that is..." Spurius paused, holding back vomit and choking it back down "That is not right."

It was also at this time he realized there was only a handful of the initial group that was still present. Raising his voice so those in the lobby could hear, Spurius accepts the incoming call, puts it on speaker mode and walks to the center of the room, motioning for the others present to come and listen.

With the top of the 'accept call' prompt on the screen - Spurius clears his throat and addresses whoever from the Bridge Staff is on the other end.
"Hello, Bridge - this is Spurius Livius Gaetulicus, do you need assistance?"

With the syringe safely tucked away with his other belongings as well as the datapad housing safety citations, Lok remained cautious in his approach toward the two bodies lingering in the corner. The first laid lumped over, it's form grotesque but suspected as it became apparent of the continuous hacking the body had undergone. His investigations, however were interrupted by another as the man @Laeonas Tannaras began ruffling through their belongings. He was tempted to forewarn the man, but was curious to the standing form's reaction to his fiddling, especially as the wiring holding the form became apparent in the flare's underglow.

A snap and hiss would echo and resound as the blossoming fiber protruded from within, but his hand stayed steady as the curiosity present took over even after the Amaran @Trini Halrixien fired off the first round and likely saved the man fiddling around the pockets of the deceased. It was as he and his partner had thought. Whatever was going on here was devious and unnaturally unattainable. Stepping forward, for good measure, Lok slide the purple hue of his blade down the backside of the corpse with the hopeful intent to sever the connection it had made with the flesh without repercussions or semi-sentient attack on the gathered group, some of which he had noticed, had gone off into a separate gathering.

"Well, that was unexpected." Lok spoke loosely, intent on hiding the expectations he was beginning to gather in his own shielded mind as the group made their way forward and deeper into this hellish nightmare. But the truth was that with an AI sentience, especially after watching the original holovid transmission, both he and his benefactor had suspected the AI would attempt to hive its mind with that of the Galaxy.

Deactivating his blade after overhearing @Spurius Livius Gaetulicus connecting with the bridge, his curiosity shifted away from the two form's and back to the original datapad. His guard was still up, and his finger resided on the blasters trigger, but he was intent to give the communication as much of his undivided attention as he could allow. And if opportunity presented its self, steal said datapad. Whomever was behind this needed to answer for their crimes, and it had long escalated to war crimes and acts of inhumanity the moment the AI went rogue.

Used his Lightsaber to disconnect the body from the fiber wire protruding through the lifted corpse.

Everything here was wrong, and the further in that Vanya went, the more she understood this simple truth. Reality and echoes in the Essence seemed to mix together in a way that made it difficult to distinguish truth from imagination. It was the dark stain left in the Shadow from the horrors of what had been done here.

She felt the goosebumps spread over her skin as the adrenaline flooded through her system. She should leave, but even if she wanted to and even if there weren't people here who needed her, she couldn't. There was no turning back.

She almost didn't hear the girl ask her question. I'm Vanya, she said, though to be honest, the necromuncher still weirded her out a bit (@Logan).

She reached down and clutched the hilt of her lightsaber tighter in her hand, reaching out to the Essence only to feel it half-stifled by the depravity of this place. How could anyone do this to someone else? Droid or not, someone had programmed it. Someone was responsible, and she wished all the wrath of the Twin Spirits down on that being. Let them rot.

The being at the far end of the hall - a droid of some kind - was clearly malfunctioning. The hall seemed to stretch on almost forever and the walls seemed to close in as they did, and she shuddered to shake away the feeling.

Anyone able to hack its memory? she asked. She had a feeling it wasn't friendly. At best it was malfunctioning and at worst it was outright hostile.

Either way, she reached out to the Essence and let tendrils reach up from the ground looking to grab the creature by the legs and hold it in place for others to either detain and interrogate it or destroy it.

His looting of the corpses ended up being disappointing. S’kenji recovered some credits that found a new home in his own pockets. Money was money, and would be really sad to leave it here, as part of this carnage. Without no one being able to spend them anymore.

The only other interesting thing that the Acolyte found was a key card drenched in blood. He studied it for a time, moving the piece of plastic around his hands and watching how his finger got stained by it. It was impressive how much had covered it. This made the Fiani think about the futility of fighting against those that were more powerful.

The lonely white piece of plastic had no chance of resisting against the wave of blood. It ended up becoming red like everything else.

S’kenji cleaned the card and tucked it in his pocket, it wasn’t time for him to have some philosophical thoughts. He was in the middle of a murder scene, paying attention to his surroundings was more important. He was surrounded by a bunch of strangers that could be as dangerous as whoever killed all these people.

If the Pureblood was right, they were dealing with an Imperial Knight and some Jedi. The last thing that he wanted was to follow any of them around.

With Natalie's refusal of the piece of sushi, Keck simply popped them both into his mouth. Wouldn't want any food to go to waste! Blissfully oblivious of the hallucinogenic properties, Keck hopped off his companion's shoulders to dig through the vending machine. Reaching for the practically-untouched bags of crispy bug bits, the amphibian stuffed as many packets as he could into his pockets and belt. "Best snacks!!" he squeaked excitedly, almost sad he didn't have space for more.

Seeing the poncho'd figure waving him over (@Rimrald ), Keck approached Spurius, catching sight of the gross wire-flesh amalgamation. However, at this point the hallucinogens were kicking in hard, his pupils expanding even larger than before. Rapidly blinking, the Jedi could not quite figure out why they were shooting and fussing over the standing figure - clearly a Nautolan. Maybe the group was asking them for help! And they definitely needed a lot of help. Looking around, Keck spotted the pile of people sleeping against the wall in a pyramid shape. That didn't look particularly comfortable, but hey, whatever floats their coat.

Off in the distance, Keck could hear a distant thumping. Someone was knocking on a door! Hopefully the others would let them in. There were some weird, warped noises coming from the comms too, but it sounded like gentle laughter to Keck. Siding next to Spurius, he gazed curiously at the glowing datapad. Maybe this place wasn't so bad after all.

Rivia continues her diligent watch as the others gather information. She nods to Trodai. "Might as well, can use the work anyhow. A reputation is what I'm after , credits usually follow behind."

She keeps a close watch on the others that happen to pass by, deciding that she will decide for herself who is trustworthy rather than take anyone's word for it. "I'm betting ill know who exactly this employer is soon as this is all over then hm? I can guess what intel youre after."

After her statements she went right back to watching, looking up at the swaying panel above the terminals, hands resting on the holsters.

Butters couldn't believe how much work and effort went into the practical effects in the first two rooms he had seen! It was thrilling, and that was fortunate considering the hefty price he'd paid the Toydarian for this experience. Now faced with a number of decisions to make, such as whether to stay, or move onto another room, he'd leave that up to chance.

And that number would be three!! As in the third door that he could see ahead. But before that action could be taken Butters felt his tummy rumble and that was never a good sign. Given that he'd only packed a light lunch, it was important to know where to find a vending machine. After all, a wise Orcolan always know where his next meal comes from, or so his mother used to say.

Taking a stroll over to the security office, Butters attempted to search for a map of some kind and / or security holosreens that might show him where the vending machines were located on this level.

Trodai listened to Rivia's reply nodding at her acceptance of his proposition. He appeared he now had at least two allies during this mess, a advantage that would serve him well in perhaps accomplishing the end goal. Before he looked at the screen, he glanced over at the amalgamation of flesh and wires...clearly the droid in charge was trying to make more like him.

Or at least those who would serve as extensions, the people were used as spare parts. He found it interesting, and at very least it gave a clue what to expect as they went further in. Turning back to the console, his ears were listening to Spurious, his heightened senses were able to hear even if he wasn't looking. It looked like they had another lead. If any lived they could have information needed to stop the droid...and perhaps acquire the research.

Looking at the AI program on the console, he began asking questions as he stuck something akin to a encrypted USB into a socket so he could have a copy of the information. First about the facility itself and it's purpose. Next about what kind of research was being conducted, and a third and defensive measures in place, followed by the map of the facility.

He decided to ask specifically about the communication relay.

He turned to the Fiani.

"I know this isn't the most pleasant...but...could you being the body of one of those part droid, part flesh. Let's see what we can learn about our enemy before rushing in like those fools before us. Clearly the droid is using people as spare parts, but let's see how and perhaps why. Much can be learnt from even a corpse. Rivia, if you can listen and tell us what is said, I would appreciate given I'm currently occupied. Let's see what this place is really about."

OOC, Actions Taken:
1.Trodai is using his species natural heightened hearing to listen to the conversation from Spurius.

2.Trodai asked the generic AI on the console a series of questions about the facility itself and it's purpose. Next about what kind of research was being conducted, and a third and defensive measures in place, followed by the map of the facility followed by a final question specifically about the communication relay.

3.Trodai has asked S'kanji to retrieve a droid/person corpse for study.

4.Trodai finally requested Rivia to listen in and tell him anything he misses.

After hearing Trodai’s suggestion, S’kenji immediately turned back to the pile of corpses. The fact that some of the dead were part machine was disturbing. The Fiani came to the conclusion that the droids that killed all of them could be collecting organic parts in an attempt to turn themselves organic.

Nah. he thought. It would be too much like a holomovie.

Anyway, S’kenji agreed with the Pureblood’s logic. “Good plan.” the Acolyte said, before walking back to the pile of bodies. He would search for one of the individuals that Trodai mentioned, being careful when dragging them back to the other Sith. He hoped that they were going to be able to discover what was going on.

S'kenji grabbed one of the half mechanic bodies and dragged it back to Trodai and Rivia for analyzis

Staring down the seemingly endless expanse of hallway, Raish couldn’t help but let the feelings of unease and dread bubble in her stomach. Despite her somewhat monstrous and frightening appearance, she was just as easily spooked as the next person.

Goosebumps spread across her skin as the adrenaline of fear coursed through her veins. It was not something she had ever felt before and it was something she hoped would fade away as quickly as it had come.

The twisted sounds of sobbing despair still echoed in Raish’s ears, the only thing pulling her out of the horror flavored k-hole being Cremek’s suggestion of blowing the whole place and Vanya’s question about the droid.

Hacking’s not really my forte, She muttered, looking towards the malfunctioning droid. Unless you want me to hack it into pieces, that I can definitely do.

The labeled doors of the hallway brought Raish back to her youth spent undergoing every manner of invasive tests in the laboratory. A fine tincture of old traumas to toss onto the fresh terror. Nice.

Leaving other more qualified people to the thump-thump droid, Raish would move to see what lay behind Door Number 3, the one labeled Sentient Resources.

Nothing horrifying and terrible could possibly be behind that door, right?

..Right?

As the door slid open relief slowly washed over Akio, until it got stuck trying to go all the way. As he turned to inspect it he noticed how it seemed to be messed up from some kind of forced opening. Akio turned to stare down the expanse of the hallway his tail twitching nervously. His ears swiveling ever so slightly to listen to the sounds coming from the radio causing what fur he had to stand up and a chill to run down his spine.

He was reading the signs for the doors when a thumping sound began ringing out from the end of the hallway. He watched as another tried to ensnare it with some form of the force. He made his way to the droid and decided to try and talk to it. His habd still gripping the blaster tightly. "Hello, Mr. Droid do you require assistance?" Though he couldn't tell if it was hostile or simply broken he didn't want to immediately attack it.

The Tiefling was trying his best to remain composed, but it was getting increasingly harder to do so given the numbers and the horrible noises that could be heard far away and even not so far away. Fortunately, the bounty hunter was an expert at bullshitting his way through stuff and appearing tough, so even though he felt like taking his chances by trying to blast open the hangar doors with his ship to get out of there, he appeared as confident as ever.

"Not exactly the hackin' type, but I know my way 'round a droid. Know how ta grab their memory bits and then we could take a proper look at it" The Tiefling said, getting ready to shoot his blaster at the defective droid, knowing where to aim to avoid hitting it's storage unit. However, a jedi decided to play...Well, the jedi. So now Khalid could do nothing but keep his blaster aimed at the droid and make sure to be ready to blast it apart should it try anything funny. Where did shark smile go, anyways, did she go ahead on her own? Between her and the jedi approaching the droid, did Khalid really get stuck with the group following common horror movie tropes?

Kavi reached through the force. It bent and twisted and pushed back. The pain, past, present, future it was all indistinguishable. It buzzed through her head, down, in between her fingers. Kavi placed a hand flat on the wall for balance. Terrible sounds came, both from the surrounding room and what seemed to be resounding in her head. The noises became claws on her mind and Kavi felt a familiar bile rise up. And then, beyond all of that, somewhere, something light and alive stirred. But Kavi couldn’t pinpoint anymore than that before she drew herself back to the present. She took deep breaths, more shaken than she cared to be.

So there was likely some life left on the station. That possibility was enough for Kavi to recover some of her positivity. She came back to herself in time to hear Vanya and Khalid discussing a droid. A protocol droid, though Kavi couldn’t identify it further than that. She shook her head at the question of if she could hack the droid, that was certainly not something she could do, though she wouldn’t mind speaking with it, though that might not be an option, seeing the state the droid was in. It seemed someone had a similar idea, and was approaching the droid to speak with it. The Jedi Knight smiled in approval.

She spotted the young woman with the sharp teeth wandering away from the group and decided the best course of action right now was to see how things played out with the droid, and keep as many people together as possible. To this end, she would try and find a position where she could hear what was happening with the droid, while also being close enough to the “Sentient Resources” door that she could assist if need be. Kavi had a feeling no one should be on their own here

Ferrin glanced back at the two ladies walking beside him - giving each a small nod as introductions were exchanged. He still didn’t entirely trust the cannibal to, well.. Not be a cannibal. For now, though? That was becoming the least of things worrying the Pantoran.

He couldn’t help but since at the noises that echoed off every wall and around every corner, haunting with their every reverberation. His fingers curled just the slightest bit tighter around the hilt of his lightsaber. He could feel every ounce of terror that pulsed through the Living Force, and was almost certain that Vanya could feel it just as well.

It didn’t take long for his attention flicked to regard the protocol droid that mysteriously wandered the halls ahead of them. He hadn’t forgotten the transmission that originally drew them to the station, and the sight of mechanical life immediately set off alarm bells within the Pantoran’s mind.

Fortunately, Vanya beat him to the punch by hoisting the droid off the ground.

“I can,” He said confidently. The Pantoran was infamous for his crooked behavior, and that included the ability to hack and tinker with most common machinery. The memory banks of a protocol droid were, in theory, within his wheelhouse.

Without hesitation, the Pantoran ignited his lightsaber - opting to take no chances as he shuffled closer. “Be ready for anything,” He warned. He half-expected the droid to spring into a feral rage the closer he got - and was prepared to engage accordingly.

Assuming it didn’t? Ferrin would slowly inch closer, preparing to connect and begin tinkering with the droid to access its memory banks.
