Had Vanya mentioned that she hated it here? Because she hated it here. The Light of another Jedi here was a welcome presence even amidst this darkness, and it seemed to lend her strength and encouragement.

She lunged over to his side, and as the creature began to hurl debris across the room, particularly trying to protect Ferrin and herself as she thrust both of her hands out to form a shimmering transparent-green barrier with her magick.

We need to go! she shouted back. She would have loved to stay here and fight (well, okay, maybe not "loved") but it was clear they weren't a match for this creature, and simply dying... wasn't a good option.

She started to retreat back with the rest of the group as Butters jammed the door, making their way back to the hangar as they could. This seemed like a "hey here's a Star Destroyer" level problem that... Vanya just wasn't really cut out for yet.

Trodai looked on dispassionately as the once human finally died, leaving nothing but the entity with them. As the lights flickered he turned around, noting the lack of shield before he heard it speak. That same voice from before only more clear. More direct in it's threat. Making it's agenda clear. He felt the sudden change in the Force, the dark void like an abyss.

As Skyshatter flew, he ducked out the way, he wasn't his problem. The entity was.

He could feel it's want, it's need. It's hunger. For in many ways they held a similar Darkness and yet this one seemed more primal, more unrestrained. As the shards flew out Trodai attempted to focus a powerful Force Push. Hoping to return the deadly cargo back to its host.

OOC: Actions Taken - Force Push to send metal shrapnel back at entity.
Roll D20: 12

He smiled a little as the shrapnel was sent flying back towards the entity. Although from what he saw he doubted it would help much. This was beyond his current skill. Or any of them. And then he saw it, whatever it was. A electrified being, more skin to some type of wraith. At least it felt like it. It desired them. Desired him. But he was Sith, he would not allow it so willingly. It was Dark but so was he. He admired the fact though that it appeared to feel not learnt of it but something else.

But it didn't change anything. It still had to die somehow.

And then he felt it's pain. It's unique status in the Force. He smiled, so it had a weakness afterall...one they could exploit. Trodai bolted for the elevator, ignoring Skyshatter again. And saw as the entity tried to grab the frog person. A Jedi. And as the entity flinched he did the elevator down. Hearing the Force Scream. He buffered himself with the Force, a way to try and dampen it.

OOC: Actions Taken -
1.Ducked out the way from Skyshatter and ignored him

2.Force Push to drive shrapnel back.

3.Ran for elevator ignoring Skyshatter again.

4.Attempted to buffer with the Force against the Force Scream.

Seeing Skyshatter repulsed, the beings form altering in real time. It's last form being shed in a brilliant explosion of metamorphosis - the shrapnel complemented by an absolutely abyssal feeling of darkness. Something that dwarfed the feeling earlier in the station. It was like Spurius was standing in the hells himself. It was unnatural, yet it was pure, it was horror incarnate, but it was simple to understand and primal in it's desire.

Forcing his body to respond out of necessity as the shrapnel flew toward them, Spurius was lucky. Having kept close to Trodai he would feel the repulsion of the fragmentation as he watched Trodai work. Taking a moment to be thankful, it would be shattered as the lights dropped. All he could see beyond the emergency lighting and the glow of various saber blades was the bright, blue, crackling energy of this eldritch horror before them.

He would not waste a moment, for he was no fool. Understanding at a primal level that every one of the force sensitives present could cut, stab, slash and plead with this being and they would all likely perish. It was an animalistic survival sense that took over his state of being. He wanted to run, to hide but he wouldn't have the chance.

The being would bellow, wail and scream in pain? Yes pain. Dropping to one knee Spurius would do his best to endure the assault on his hearing. The amount of adrenaline pumping through his veins was bordering on heart stopping.

But once the scream ended, Spurius would point both hands directly at the being. His left holding his saber in palm with his pinky and ring finger around the hilt. His right hand entirely free and extended palm out. He would begin to use Force Drain and pour every ounce of his being into the act.

He had been warned about the dangers of dark side techniques. How they can consume the user, corrupt the mind, envelope the soul. But this creature? Thing? Horror? Could not leave this station, for it had consumed so much life already.

He only hoped it would be enough to hurt or weaken the creature enough that others could help.

While not grouped up with the others, Keck was uprepared for the blast of shrapnel that exploded from the droid, a shard of which caught in the amphibian's side. Wincing from the blow, he knew that the would was not tremendously deep, albeit painful. He had to focus on their opponent, a more dreadful creature than he had ever seen or felt before. Now was the time to put his full training to use.

As the dark-hungry-thing reached for him, its momentary hesitation gave Keck the opportunity to bolt for the rest of the group, seeing them begin to retreat. Whatever their decision, he would follow along with them. His normally wide pupils shrank smaller and smaller, ending in knife-sharp slits as his focus honed in. Keck would create a minor Force barrier to help prevent the worst of the Force Scream against himself and his other allies that were nearest to their foe. Once over, he then would stow his sabers and uncork a small glass jar attached to his belt, drawing from it a squirming lightbug, its abdomen flashing faintly. Stepping up next to Spurius, Keck would hold out the insect, channeling the Force into it and hyper-imbuing its glow into a blinding display of Force Light. Unsure of his allies actions, however, the Jedi would be prepared to bolt for the elevator if the group seemed more intent on fleeing.

Frustratingly there would be no door closing to block the creature and left without any options, Butters threw what food he had left on his person in front of the creature lest it slip in the messy spread.

He would grief these lost heroes in time, delectables that they were, and tasty things. How might his day improved, had they time to share? Why must the galaxy come between an Orcolan and his meal, we shall never know.

With the other greens leaving, Butters decided that was also a great idea, and thus he would ensure that everyone else was able to escape, dragging the others out if necessary.

If they made it back to the security room from earlier, He'd also attempt to see if the emergency power was active in there and whether any of the buttons were on and thus useful?

As his blade slid through the droid's form, a smirk crept upon his face, if only briefly, as the sense of victory washed over him. And yet, he was unprepared for what happened next as his form was recoiled and blasted away from the kinetic being as it harnessed it's energy and was reborn anew. As Lok felt his form slide upon the floor, unconsciousness would take him if only but for a brief moment as his head connected with the floor hard.

The moments that followed were hazed, periodic and inconsistent. Memories of it rolled from one flash to the next as his mind slipped in and out as he struggled to regain himself. Blurred visions of the electrical currents flowing over its form, forms passing him as he attempted to stand, the ringing of his ears and the darkness that rolled across his form and in the Force as it beckoned outward. Pain, regret, hatred. He felt it all roll with the scream as it threatened to take his consciousness completely. Even as the shrapnel nearly missed decapitating him, he struggled to remain coherent.

Standing upon his feet, he shook his head against the feeling of his drowsiness, his equilibrium swaying in the moment before he regained himself and gazed at the creature before him. Was this one of the Exalted? No. He'd be dead. Sithspawn? Unlikely. He felt the presences of @Spurius Livius Gaetulicus and @Keck as they attempted to stand against the Beast as the rest turned tail and ran. But no, Lok would not run like the others. This creature would not be allowed to leave as long as he drew breath.

Giving his conscious one last shake to be sure he was capable, and with only a splitting headache beckoning back, Lok opened himself up to the Force and drew upon it's power around him, focusing more upon the innate that lingered around him rather than what laid within him, and began to manipulate the air around them. It didn't take a rocket scientist to understand basic science, but for a former Jedi moderate in Alter Environment, there was much her could do with basic knowledge. As the air around them began to grow moist within the Force, a thick fog would begin to form, specifically around the creature at its center. Dew would begin to collect upon its metallic form, drenching it as the fog grew thicker by the moment and the humidity would climb. Lok would smirk, just as his motives shifted.

Just as the fog began dissipate, heat would begin to take its place, like the air shifting from tropical conditions to that of an arid desert in a matter of moments. Lok's intent was to rust and lock it's joints and possibly its metallic form in place and grant the others a chance to finish it off. Whether or not this would work, only time would tell.

@Nefieslab @Shalken @Spurius Livius Gaetulicus

TL;DR: Used Alter Environment to drench the droid and then heat to cause rust.

Akio was making his way out with the others. When he realized the bone chilling fear he was experiencing seemed to linger even now. He felt the light side of the force boom out from the room as Ferrin used it against the creature. He also felt the immense anger and pain all of his senses availed by the urge to get away.

He quickly got to the side of the door as the beast prepared its attack. Using the wall as a shield against the onslaught. He would then basically run after butters as they made their way to the security desk. Aptly pressing buttons with him to speed up the process.

The situation unfolded slowly, then, all at once.

The one on the bridge had elaborated and elaborated, and a sinking feeling finally dropped in his stomach when they reached him. Laeo beheld the monstrosity their benefactor on the bridge had been transformed into with a mixture of fascination and disgust. He stood, unsure of what needed to be done next. He’d been ready to extract information from this one by any means necessary, but after seeing the ruin he’d become, all he could muster was pity.

That was until the robe-bound force adept did his thing.

Laeo cringed at the callousness of his words and the brutal ease at which he dispatched of the man turned monstrosity. Anger sparked in his heart and threatened to boil over as he bore witness. He hadn’t been sure of what this one was, but this was all the confirmation he needed– this one was Sith.

He was tempted to unsheathe his sword and cut him down where he stood. However useful it had been to the party, The Sith’s existence was a liability. It had probably come here hoping to domesticate what had caused the carnage on the station, and he wouldn’t put it past it to try anyways.

He was prepared to coil the force around it and put it down like the beast it was– until something else appeared.

He reached out with the force and recoiled. It came on instinct– his mind, body and soul refusing to behold or approach the black pit of annihilation that was this thing’s presence in the force.

All thoughts of putting down the Sith were cast aside as Laeonas unsheathed his blade, prepared to cut at any approaching tendrils or whatever else might grab at him. As shrapnel shot towards them, Laeo would twist and duck low, the force exploding out from him in a push that would send any projectile flying towards him away, as if the shrapnel had shot from him instead.

He beheld the mass of machinery and reached out. Rather than a simple, singular attack, Laeo would badger the creature by yanking, pushing, pulling and tearing at multiple points. None of the attacks would be particularly strong, but he hoped to distract it and gradually damage the unfocused monstrosity.

Khalid mind started to think for a moment, the cogwheels focusing on one thing and one thing alone: Had he been offered enough money to deal with this unnatural, horrid monstrosity? The answer, quite simply, was no. So, when the creature hurled debris at them, Khalid made sure to dodge out of the way, not even bothering to take a potshot at the creature. Had blasters been able to deal with it, it would've already been shut down.

"No need ta tell me twice!" Like a character out of an old cartoon, Khalid retreated at full speed, speeds that were above those of a normal human being. Matukai taught a great deal of things, and one the Tiefling had refined to a fine art to run away from his problems and blunders was force speed, so the man would run well ahead of the others, it was totally him checking out that the exit was secure, not a cowards' exit, of course.

Ferrin would find himself shielded by the sickly green magics of Vanya as his fellow Jedi did her level best to protect him while he continued to blast the Light out toward the creature in front of them. It continued to sear at the flesh of the amalgamated demon's body, even as its retaliation was blocked thanks to the efforts of Vanya. Butter's lost food was added to the assault and, although not damaging, still distracted the demon as it reacted as though something was being thrown at it... only to realize when no pain came that it was not a weapon at all.

As Khalid fled and both M'Akio and Butters both pulled themselves into the security office and began smashing buttons, some of the emergency power was diverted by one of the buttons accidentally pressed by the pair of them in just the right sequence.

The doors to the reactor room began to slowly close, giving Vanya and Ferrin plenty of time to pull back through with their light & shield combination effectively pinning the demonic creature in place as it raged against the light and the energy that was being used against it. Still, the two Jedi would be able to step backward through the doorway with their powers acting in tandem.

The doors would slam home and, now away from the hated light, the demonic creature would crash violently against the door. Metal buckled and the walls shook at the sheer strength behind the blows but, for the moment, the door held and the adventurers had their straight shot back to the hanger they arrived in, the security consoles informing them that the hanger bay was no longer locked down.

As the debris from the remains of the droid rained down on the adventurers, some of them impacting the reeling Skyshatter even if the majority of it was batted away by various uses of the Force, the creature seemed to unfurl from the remains of the droid. The burning lines of energy in the rough shape of a bipedal body hovered ominous a few inches above the floor.

The scream from the creature rolled forward in waves as the soundwaves attacked the group as a whole - Spurius would find himself hearing a ringing in his ears right before he couldn't hear anything at all any longer, hot liquid splashing onto both sides of his head as his eardrums sustained damage despite Keck's barrier. Enough that he would be functionally deaf for the foreseeable but easily healed in a proper medical facility. Likewise, Trodai would find his impromptu defense not as effective as he would have thought, one of his ears suffering the same fate as both of Spurius', making everything sound faint and leaving the ringing in his ears.

The attack further exacerbated the damage that Skyshatter had suffered, causing more pain and disorientation and forcing the man to stagger even as he pulled himself to his feet and began to draw on the environment. Water began to form, landing upon the glowing energy-like lines of the creature before evaporating on touch - it was beyond the shell of a droid at this point. It was barely contained, barely shaped, energy beyond anything found or contained within a battery or other power supply built for a droid.

Still, the creature seemed to recoil as Keck used some of the Light side to conjure up some Force Light. The force attack washed over the electric creature like wave, causing pulses to run throughout the creature as it if the flow of its energy was being interrupted. In retaliation, an arc of lightning shot from the mass of energy, lancing toward the small Jedi in a concentrated stream of energy that carried no small amount of kinetic force alongside the electrical energy.

However, the oddest thing, was when Spurius reached down deep and began to Pull the creature. Unlike the Pulls in the Force from Laeonas, which pinched and tugged at something was barely any physical form, the Pull from Spurius was different - it was a Force Drain. Every Force Sensitive within the station, both the bridge and the reactor would feel it through the Force as the creature reacted.

Pure, unbridled, cackling, GLEE.

Immediately energy and power began to flow into the outstretched hands of Spurius and it was more power than the man had ever held in his control at any time in his life before. Just the fraction that was beginning to flow into him was strength beyond strength - but it wasn't without direction. He would begin to feel it when his hands moved without his conscious control, dropping his lightsaber to the ground and pulling him closer to the creature. Spurius would no longer be able to feel his hands, the numbness growing and spreading slowly up his forearms as more and more energy began to almost... no..., literally pushed itself into him.

It wanted a host to be able to take some form of life from someone connected to the Force and Spurius had opened the door to allow it to be himself. With the creature so committed, it was focused on Spurius and seemingly couldn’t care less about the others on the bridge at all - but it was caught off guard, seemingly flinching both from Keck's Force Light (which seemed to be doing more danger now that it was overly committed) and something else.

Unknown to the bridge team, this was the same time the body was being assault by the Light of Ferrin.

With a scream, the connection to Spurius was cut off and the electric lights of the creature split apart, fleeing from the burning Light into the machinery of the bridge. Although the creature didn't appear to be there any longer, every Force Sensitive could feel the air around the room growing colder, a hostile presence still in the room.

It was time to leave, before it could muster itself for another attack.

This will be the last DM post - congratulations on your survival! Please feel free to run away at this point.

Had it already been established repeatedly that Vanya hated it here? Yeah, yeah, hate leads to the Dark Side... well, screw this place.

Vanya managed to hold the barrier in place through much difficulty and protect she and Ferrin while they made their retreat, a wave of indescribably relief settling over her as the doors closed between them and... whatever that was.

Raze's abominations, demon machines, serial killers... why do I never go anywhere nice?
she wondered to herself in the recesses of her mind.

Let's go! There's no one to save here! she shouted back to Ferrin (@Altaris) as she started making for the hangar. With it now open, she wasted no time, climbing aboard her ship and - once she was sure no one else needed a ride out - leaving this cursed station behind to report it to someone with Star Destroyers.

At finding he was partially successful, one ear ringing and seeing the hybrid creature retreat for now at least...Trodai decided the research was a lost cause. They would never get it, not now. And so he withdrew, turning from it and sprinting hopefully before it had time to recuperate and try again. Whatever it was Trodai was no fool.

He wasn't letting himself become some host.

Using the Force he tried to go faster, the more distance he put between himself and whatever it was, the better. Eventually finding freedom, he departed the forsaken place. Let it be damned.

Seeing the creature temporarily dissipated, Keck rushed to the side of Spurius who had moved ahead unbidden. Shining the torchbug Force Light as bright as he could, the Jedi grasped the recovering Imperial, returning his lightsaber as he made an effort to pull him towards the elevator. "Don't use Dark Side! Bad for you!" Keck admonished croakingly, unaware his warning literally fell on deaf ears. Remaining at his side, Keck would keep his Force Light glowing as long as he could until all the others had clambered into the elevator. Nobody gets left behind.

Well on their way towards the hangar and their escape, Keck would stop channeling his powers and promptly eat the torchbug. All this effort was making him hungry.
