"Unfortunately for you, you no longer have the element of surprise on your side. They'll know you'll be heading to the shipyard and are probably waiting for you there as we speak." Jaga then gleamed a big smile across his face as if he was pitching a business plan to the two new associates. "However, I do think I have a plan that'll get us their credits and get us off this rock. First, we need to know where exactly these guys are hiding out, they don't know me or Arctus over here so we have that going for us. I'll tell them that I know the ship you'll be trying to escape with, and I'll get em to pay me for this information too." Then Jaga's eyes got even wider than before as if to say "Now this is the fun part" he then went on to say with glee, "When they arrive at your 'getaway vehicle' we'll be the ones taking them by surprise. Since they're a small operation, we could even go back to their hideout and wipeout the few guys left."

After this explanation, Jaga leaned against the stained wall with an aura of confidence, "Yeah I know... it's genius!"

"Your plan's a solid eight there, Mister Urso, but I'll have to agree with Mister Jaga over here," Arctus began after taking the time to listen to their sales pitch. He sashayed into the room, taking in the overall shoddy appearance without a hint of judgement. The smuggler had been in the same place when he was younger, after all.

Arctus leaned against the wall, arms crossed as hazel grey gaze settled back on the two males.

"Mister Jaga here striding up to that lovely gang of yours to fool them is plausible, yep," he remarked, one brow cocked upwards, "but only if none of your horrible bunch thought of tracking you and your activities, Mister Urso, twenty-four-seven– or whatever timeframe we're currently in. But I guess we can only find out if they start shooting Mister Jaga on sight, huh?"

The smuggler then pulled himself away from the wall and approached Urso, standing in front of the Zabrak but maintaining a respectul distance between them.

"A'ight, so first off: How many people are we dealing with? Any rough estimates?" he asked. Better to find out now just how many members this particular gang had than get the shock of their lives later. Arctus wasn't really planning on getting himself killed for people he just met.

“Don’t get it twisted I certainly didn’t want to just waltz up to any old ship and get shot. I think an ambush is the way to go” Urso clarified.

The Zabrak scrunched up his face, thinking hard. “The gang was bigger, but when the infected rolled through Nar Shaddaa they lost a lot of numbers. There should only be 4 of them hunting me; I don’t imagine they have the manpower to spare any more than that. And it’s best that we assume that they know about our little...congregation. It’ll be safer that way. We’ll be able to prepare for everything if we assume that”

Urso stood, tapping his chin in thought. “Maybe we could stage something instead. Make it look like you’re turning me over to them” Urso looked at Jaga. “If they suspect we’re working together then they probably won’t fall for the ‘hey, he’s over here, come look!’ trick”

“Oh, and don’t get any funny ideas about actually turning me over to them. These guys won’t pay you a single damn credit - they think my death is their Force-given right. They’d rather just shoot you after you hand me over and loot your corpse”
Urso shot a cold glare at the both of them, just to emphasise his point.

“Why they think that is a long story, we can get into it later if we need to” he elaborated as he dropped his icy stare.

“I am open to suggestions however. And if we think Jaga’s plan is the way to go then I’m all for it”

A wicked grin made its way on Arctus' face as Urso shot him and Jaga a glare. Looked like the Zabrak really wanted out of that gang's hair – and even going as far as wanting the goons dead. He knew it wasn't his business asking, but the behavior and desire for the gang's destruction got the smuggler terribly curious about the whole story.

"Fair point, all of those," he commented, raising his hands, palms up, at chest level to placate the Zabrak. "And now that you've put Mister Jaga's plan that way, the flaw's actually getting quite clear and obvious." Arctus would turn to the Argazdan with a pacifying grin, his intuition telling him to play on the latter's ego. "No offense to the esteemed Mister Jaga, of course."

Head cocked to the side, Arctus shot the Zabrak a curious stare. "But if we're turning you in to some gang we don't know shite about, what would our grounds be? You say they won't pay is for turning you over, so it's safe to assume that – small as they now are, they won't bother putting up a bounty on that head of yours. If one of us is gonna turn you in, we have to be acquainted with the gang first. Get to know them and ingratiate ourselves to them... possibly get the gist as to why they want your head on a plate as well."

The smuggler grinned again, brightly at that, and added, "Gotta hand us the plot and script if we're gonna act the part, huh?"

And even then, it's just a matter of sweet-talking four people into believing that Arctus or Jaga were trustworthy enough to have either of them hunting the Zabrak down and delivering him to the gang – alive, for that matter.

Despite Urso's best efforts to appear calculated, a small grin crept its way across his face. He appreciated working with people that were thorough. He nodded slowly, considering Arctus' words, and then accepting them. It was only fair that they knew what they were getting themselves into and why.

"Fair enough, I can hand you the plot and script. I just hope you're a good actor" Urso retorted, grinning as he did.

"The synopsis is, essentially, I spent a lot of years running with a small gang. We weren't even a gang really, more just a...group of kids getting into trouble I suppose. We did whatever we wanted whenever we wanted" Urso cleared his throat, preparing to continue his story.

"Eventually, our little ragtag group was absorbed into a larger criminal organisation. They offered us an ultimatum essentially - the 'join or die' kind. The gang that absorbed us wasn't particularly large either, but they were bigger than us - they were an up and coming gang if you will. When the infection came through Nar Shaddaa I thought that it was the perfect chance to leave. I didn't really like taking orders from other criminals who didn't know any better than I. So I left, and I may or may not have...left the doors open on my way out for the infected to chow down on as many gang members as they could. Also, I just don't think they appreciated me leaving. But it was probably the former which annoyed them more"

Urso chuckled slightly to himself; a conflicted chuckle, one that was riddled with a combination of guilt, nervousness and a dash of genuine laughter. He cracked his knuckles one by one after he finished his story. He nervously ran his hand through his hair, catching his fingers on a horn or two as well.

"As for turning me in, they are desperate for recognition. Probably even more so now that their numbers are severely lacking. If you can play to their egos, they'd probably accept the trade unquestioningly. If I were you I'd probably say something like, 'I wanted to kill Urso myself, but I heard you guys were hunting him and I didn't wanna mess with you' or...yeah something along those lines"

The Zabrak spread his arms out wide as if he were an open book that had just been read. His eyebrows raised momentarily as he looked at his two new associates; almost as if saying 'well, there you go. That's my story' with his eyes.

Laughter, equal parts amused and thrilled, slipped past Arctus' lips at Urso's comeback. The smuggler slapped a hand on the Zabrak's shoulder amiably, a smug grin lighting up his face like a kid who'd received an early Life Day gift.

"Well, you're in luck, mate!" exclaimed Arctus. "You've just got yourself the best actor this side of the parsec has ever seen!"

Which was partly true, to be honest. He had fooled women into taking him to their homes and beds, had wormed his way out of law enforcements' grip with a few subtle words here and there. Making a fool out of local gang members?

Piece of Mando cake.

He listened to the Zabrak's tale, the origin story of why a smuggler, an ex-gang member, and a proclaimed esteemed criminal were gathered in this dingy apartment. The conflict on that chuckle was something fierce, and Arctus couldn't help but pat the poor bloke's shoulder again – this time sympathetically.

"Ain't that a sorry tale, Mister Urso."

The smuggler turned his focus on the course of action. He was not really one to jump to someone's aid, but whatever loot he could get from the gang was a little too good to pass up. That, and Arctus sort of believed in karma – if he did an act of kindness now, then he would surely reap the wonderful reward later. Preferably meeting his wonderful Mando savior.

"Desperate for recognition, huh," he muttered, thinking. Arctus snapped his fingers when an idea presented itself to him. "How do you feel about robbing a member of one of the Five Syndicates, mate? Heard of this particular crime family, the Zaa Fenn? I hear no one messes with them or else you'll be in the receiving end of the legendary, gunslinger extraordinaire Preef Callo's blaster. I'll pose as a member of the Zaa Fenn – freshly inducted, of course – and persuade your local gang to kill you in exchange of being taken in as new members."
