Nara reached over to take the card, checking the stencilled lettering. Very minimalist. Their hands brushed together, making Nara shiver a little. She slipped the card back and nodded, looking up into his eyes. "Understood, lieutenant," she replied quietly as she slid the card in with her things. She closed her book shut and packed it away in her bag, along with her headphones.
Looking around to check what the others were doing, she took advantage of the lull in attention to slip away from where she'd been. Revealing her name and former rank had been bad enough, but to be recognised by a former colleague? Especially one that'd known her since she was a teenager? Very sloppy. She'd have to do better.
Nara was a few blocks away before she risked stopping, fishing out the card from her bag. She twirled it between her fingers as she thought about if it was worth it. Trusting cops was a surefire way towards disappointment and a prison cell... but if he could actually help her get a lead to Kori, then she was willing to try anything. Nara knew she'd have to send out some messages to old friends... then she'd contact the hunky cop again.
Vacation over, I guess.
