Ossun, a developing planet on the outskirts of the galaxy. A planet full of untamed wilds and lawless cities, each populated with vicious monsters and riddled with disease. Merrik and several others were sent to this wild planet for two reasons: To boost the local's support of the Jedi, and to eliminate a local crime boss and his crew. He thought it was a bit Ironic that a peacekeeping group was on its way to exterminate a street gang, but he couldn't pass up the opportunity to take out a tyrant, so he volunteered for the job.

The Gallium Sparrow shook as it came out of hyperspace. The big yellow planet was unremarkable and ugly to look at, making him wonder why the order wanted it so badly. Whats so special about this rock? he thought as he began landing preparations.

The Jedi landed in a docking bay in a remote mining town as per the mission's instructions. Upon disembarking, he took a look around the "town," if you could even call it that. It was more of a village, with a few dirty streets and a small, run-down market in the center. Other than that, the place seemed pretty normal. There were people walking around, minding their business and a few kids playing in the street. That's when the real problem surfaced.

A loud scream followed by blaster fire came from down the road, along with a crowed of dirty, frightened villagers. They were in a frenzy, pushing, shoving and tripping their way back to the "safety" of their run-down homes. Then, a loud whirring noise rang against Merrik's ears. Speeders. A gang of gun-toting speeder-bikers rode into town, yelling and firing shots into the air. They were the Gem Hoarders Gang, Merrik's targets. The group had returned to town to "recruit" more miners for their crystal mining operation. Without speaking a word, the gangsters began methodically busting into homes and capturing villagers to bolster their workforce. Merrik watched in disgust as the gang had its way with the villagers. His heart pounded and his blood boiled as his fury welled up inside him, but he stayed his hand. He still had to wait for his comrades to arrive, otherwise he may risk compromising the mission. He waits impatiently for their arrival.

"Have i missed anything" Kip chuckled taking a knee beside his fellow jedi. "What do you have so far??"

Kip unlocked his hilts on his belt just incase it got hairy for them. Kip could hear the aggressive tones as the hoarders pulled men both young and old from their families. Kip started to plot an approach towards them gang that lead to hopefully a lesser confrontation that what he was looking for, for kip hated to resort to violence as it reminded him of his past as a sith lord.

Merrik anxiously scratched his goatee. "The gang appears to be coming from that road, where I assume the mine is located," he spat out in disgust. "but I am not sure."

Merrik dawned his hood, grabbed his lightsabers, and prepared to approach the slavers. "The others will soon arrive, and the inevitable fight will break out," He began thinking aloud, "The gangsters will likely retreat to their lair once we overwhelm them, and once the base's location is known, the four of us could lead a head-on assault, capture the boss, and complete our mission...piece of cake."

Brayden had been on the planet for roughly a few hours, seeing as how helping the less fortunate especially the ones who were abused like this town was, hit close to home for the veteran Jedi. His own ship, The Odyssey was safely secured in the town's hanger bay, which was nothing to fawn over, but wasn't exactly Coruscant either. Using his early arrival to scout the town, he'd noted that though, for the most part the towns people appeared to live as if their lives were perfectly normal he saw or rather felt, a certain caution in the air. One man who was buying from a bizarre nearly lost his shoes when he was nudged on the shoulder by someone behind him. A store not even a block away from that bizarre had a merchant who immediately brought his arms up in surrender when one customer reached into his trench coat for his credits. "Definitely in the right place, and judging by the inhabitants jumpy demeanor we should expect a confrontation soon, hopefully the others...oh, here they come."

Brayden was brought out of his musing as he looked down from atop the balcony he had, 'perched' himself on, and saw the interactions of his squad members. He made it a point to get some basic information from his ships, holoterminal on the trip, but he didn't delve too far, he just needed to make sure they wouldn't get in his way. They all appeared fairly competent, though he immediately held a grudge towards, Kip, for being a former Sith due to his first run in with one, and as it currently stood, his usual tactic was to immediately exterminate any Sith he encountered. He obviously wouldn't attack his comrade though he hardly considered him such, but the thoughts were there. Merrik however was a different story. He appeared very similar to himself, though quite a bit younger. He was generally skilled in most attributes and an accomplished pilot from what he gathered, though he needed more work on his dueling. Overall though he liked the man, and could see the two becoming, non-aggressive acquaintances as long as he stayed out of his way when it came time to get serious. While he was busy in his musings he was unable to get a read on the conversation between the two, and hadn't really bothered to move closer to listen, he had considered climbing down when the noises began.

He knew the plan was to have all four gather and formulate a solid attack strategy to show an overwhelming attack force in order to cause a retreat and show them the base of operations, but patience never was his strong suit. Stepping up onto the ledge he looked down where two moderately sized Rodians were holding a man the shop keep he remembered from before and drug him out of the stand and had just thrown him down onto the ground, blasters trained on him. Brayden had seen enough, hopefully his 'team' wouldn't be as slow as a herd of Bantha and would pick up on his modified version of the original plan. Stepping off of the balcony he landed almost directly behind the two Rodians, when the terrifying hum that was the prelude to the two lights emitting from his dual carried sabers. The right, silver, the left blue, each shown brightly enough in the dusk of the evening that the two thugs would know exactly what awaited them. When and if they turned around they would be unable to see his face behind the shadow of the his hooded cloak pulled down so just darkness was seen. The black robe he adorned, in order to help him keep hidden as opposed to the brown robes most Jedi wear, would likely lead to an even more ominous feeling which he hoped would lead to an even quicker retreat.

Kip seen the Jedis leap of faith from his balcony. The rush filled Kip as he lunged forward sprinting towards his landing. Hating to resort to using weapons but he knew the plan was to scare them back to their "lair" kip ignited his four sabers letting their red hue illuminated his surroundings.

kip by this time was ready for a form of resistance. Keeping his eyes set on the two members but his ears kept scanning the area for unwanted sounds of guests. Kip jumped, seeing his weight when he landed created a large thud as he too hoped scare them into fleeing seeing there was now two jedi who were ready to defend the town.

"Are you guys ok?" Kip questions some of the towns people that were in earshot away.

*sigh* "So much for teamwork..." Merrik mumbles. He was a bit disappointed that things weren't progressing according to his plan, but he was used to improvising so it really wasn't a problem. Reacting to his comrades' actions, he instinctively ignited his silver lightsabers and dashed forward into the fray, his white robes quivering against the wind. The Jedi began a vicious yet graceful assault against the rowdy gangsters, killing one with a jumping spin-slash and Force tossing another like a rag-doll against a nearby building, knocking the thug out. After all, they were here to play the heroes, and what better way was there to do that than showing off? He continued the attack, jumping, sliding, spinning, and deflecting blaster fire as he crossed the town square, killing another 4 gangsters and knocking out 2 more. He became engrossed in the intense battle, and after a few minutes, he'd completely forgotten that they were still waiting on one more comrade to join them.

Helping others was what the Jedi did, it was one of there primary missions so Jake decided it would great for him to join in on a mission to gain practical experience. The mission was simple, put a end to a gang terrorising the locals. Step out after the two knights Jake watched as the raiding party arrived. Most of there shots where missing there targets but then dead slaves are not worth much.

Jake listened as the knights formed a plan and threw it away and rushed in. It seemed there new plan was rushing in. Drawing his lightsabre Jake joined in the rush. The gang was momentarily stunned by the sight. Most probably had never seen a Jedi, but it did not take long for them to start to fight back though they like the Jedi seemed to be winging it.

As the blasts flew around them, as if no one was even aiming. Kip flawlessly started to dodge the blasts, directing them away from him and his comrades with the aid of his sabers.

'It was just a show of force' he thought to himself.

For every round shot over, they had to find a landing. Kip realized some of the rounds had missed their mark, and found their way towards some of the civilians. In fear of losing a positive outlook towards the jedi, Kip deactivated his blades and rush to their aid.

As kip was making his rounds slowly healing the civilians that had been harmed, a bolt came to close to Kip only to be caught in his hand. As he absorbed its energies, he tried to keep his composer and not show a sign of pain or exhaustion. Kip worried not for his comrades sake but for the villagers sake, Being caught amidst the ensuing battle.

Kip had rushed to an elderly woman who had been caught in her shoulder, With her granddaughter standing over her crying in fear. "Everything is gonna be ok little one" Kip reassured the girl.

Moments later everything around him got quiet, and it caught his attention. Kip in fear slowly turned his head only to see the little girl lieing upon the floor......lifeless....Anger filled Kip, an anger that had not been there for awhile.

Standing over her Kip locked eyes with her assassin and with out hesitation kip rose his hand only to release a bolt, unlike the typical blue or white of the sith but an emerald green from his finger tips. ELECTRIC JUDGMENT is what it was called. A fierce attack the lightside had been given after years of study by countless jedi scholars. Kip had released it upon a foe whom he felt worthy to die by its glory.

Kip knew now this was what had to be done. These gang members had no care for anyone but themselves. Life to them seemed worthless, so Kip set out to oblige them. For kip held life mostly above all else and cherished it and its glory.....

After the thugs had been massacred. A small shuttle appeared and it landed on a cliff above the jedi. The ramp slowly lowered and Ganthrax Midanyl slowly walked out. His pet Lawgriffarl followed a few feet behind him. He was supposed to deliver some slaves to a contact. He didn't know who this guy was. He just knew he was getting paid. He pulled out a pair of dusty binoculars and zoomed in onto the jedi. He saw the massacre that had just taken place. Ganthrax was angry yet intrigued. He took his binoculars off and walked back inside his shuttle. He then re-appeared with his revolvers and assault rifle. He picked his Lawgriffarl up and tied him on an electric leash. He carefully made his way down the cliff and made sure he was out of sight. He eventually reached the bottom and pressed a button on his gauntlet that cloaked his ship. He quietly walked towards a rock that was just behind the space craft. He pulled out his binoculars again and looked in them. He saw a humanoid figure and some sort of weird creature he'd never seen before. He pulled a frown and looked at the remainder of the thugs, all tossed around and definitely dead. He stood up from the rock, took the leash of his pet and headed towards the group of jedi. "The name's Ganthrax Midanyl, I believe I could help you lot." he said, in a grunted voice. He took off his hood and revealed that he was a Karkarodon. He placed his pet on the ground and let it run around. "So what the hell 'appened here?" Ganthrax said.

After 15 minutes of flashy combat, the Jedi succeeded in driving off the Gem Hoarders. As Merrik suspected, their base was up the eastern road, as that was the route the group used to retreat. With the battle ending, Merrik puts his lightsabers away and turns back toward the villagers. Looking around, he noticed that there were a few wounded civilians and three our four dead. Not bad considering we winged it, he thought while glaring at Brayden, his hood covering his face. If only SOMEONE hadn't jumped ahead, we could've gotten through this clean. But, what's done is done...

With that, Merrik turned his attention to the surviving slavers he'd wounded and began gathering them in the square. After all 5 of the surviving thugs were tied up and accounted for, he then turned his attention to Talon and the wounded civilians. On his way to help the villagers, a mysterious figure approached, claiming his name was Ganthrax and that he was there to help, before revealing he was a Karkarodon. Shark-men aren't really known for their kindness or civility so naturally, Merrik was skeptical of the stranger's true motives. As an experienced bounty hunter himself, Merrik knew this guy wasn't here to help out, or at least, not for free. He decided to respond to the suspicious, gun-toting fish-man with this: "If you really wanna help, go watch those prisoners in the square. Otherwise, we're not interested in what you're selling. And if you're really curious about what went down, go ask him." Merrik gestured toward Brayden and went off to help the wounded.

"Selling? Haha." laughed Ganthrax as he walked over to the prisoners in the square, his pet followed closely behind him. He didn't know if they were the ones to talk to but his contact mentioned 'Valuable property'. Ganthrax shook his head and aimed his Apex Rifle directly at the crowd. He was waiting for them to start some sort of riot. He noticed one standing in a corner and asked "You the deliverer?". The man looked behind Ganthrax for any jedi listening in. He went through his pocket and found some sort of hard drive. The thug threw it at Ganthrax. He caught it with ease. Ganthrax nodded to the the thug and he sat back in his corner. Ganthrax looked behind him to see if any jedi were looking and quickly pocketed it, acting like nothing happened. He drew a crooked smile towards the thug. Ganthrax then quickly armed himself with his Sharktooth revolver and shot the thug directly through the skull. He blew the smoke off it and looked towards the jedi. "Weirdo tried to run away." he explained. He turned back to the crowd of prisoners and smiled. The thugs dared not even speak to each other.

Jake moved towards the slavers his lightsaber out. They where for the most part rather poor shots and did not seem to know what the word team work meant. Jakes combat style allowed him to easily deflect the shots coming his way. Those that he could see. A stun blast barley hit him the back but a hit was a hit. Jake woke as the speeder he was thrown in the back of sped off with a few other speeders and speedbikes.

The Gangs base was based in and around a old by still rich gem mine. It was surrounded by a battlement that at irregular intervals had automatic turrets. In side countless slaves mined for gems, watched by gang members not afraid to kill to make a point. A fact event Jake got first hand experience in witnessing as he was dragged from the speeder in to cage. The Cage was far to small for Jake to even sit up strait in, but it did not hide the scene of a gang member beating a young girl to death with the but of his rifle. The tears that left Jakes face where not for him but her.

A large man step up to Jakes cage, his lightsabre hanging from his belt along with a large Vibro sword. Spiting on Jake he laughed "Lets see how brash you friends are attacking me when your neck is literally on the line, the sharp line of a sword"

Kip had acknowledged their continuous assault pressing forward, as he maintained his ground trying to help heal the remaining villagers.

Kip was just about finished when he heard the hunters remark to his comrade after he had shot one of the gang members. Now Standing kip turned still maintaining his concentration, he slowy but surely approached his brothers.
"We should get moving....wasnt there four?" Kip remarked, "did he go with you??" Looking to merrik

"There was supposed to be four of us... wasn't the last guy supposed to be with you? Your padawan, right?" Merrik asked, quizzically stroking his beard. He hadn't bothered to read up on his companions' histories as he really didn't care where they came from.

*sigh* "We lost the damn kid, didn't we?" Merrik whispers as to not let the villagers hear of their blunder. Looking around, the villagers were still a bit shaken up, but were steadily relaxng...a good sign. They didn't feel they were in danger anymore and were impressed by the Jedis' actions in the battle. He and his brothers had to keep their mistake under wraps, otherwise, they might lose the villagers' respect. With this in mind, Merrik goes over to the seemingly preoccupied Brayden to ask if he'd seen what happened to the youngling.

Ganthrax couldn't help but overhear what the jedi had said. A youngling missing? This could be interesting. He looked back at the two jedis and approached them. "I'm a pretty decent tracker, I could probably help you guys out." he smiled, the same old crooked smile he always put on. He then thought. "Heh, I'll even do it for free. Its pretty boring just travelling from system to system." he said quite happily. He turned to the jedi who called himself Kip. He reached out a hand and said "We have a deal?". Ganthrax was just waiting for the handshake. Little did they know... He was planning something.

"We don't need a tracker, we've still got five, I'm sorry, four prisoners to interrogate. Besides, I'm quite the tracker myself, and this place only has one road, which leads to the mine, the obvious location for their base. We will not be needing you, so shove off." Merrik had a long history of dealing with criminals and bounty hunters as he'd grown up working with them, and he knew if one offered to do a job for free, they were planning something underhanded and sneaky. This guy had already executed one prisoner for no reason and obviously couldn't be trusted, so Merrik decided it was best to send him on his way. With that business concluded, he once again advanced toward Brayden to ask if the boy had been dragged off by the gangsters or not.

"Tch, some people." He went back to watch over the prisoners and stood on a small rock. He took out his revolvers and started to flip them around his fingers, in complete boredom. "Thats probably the only job I'll do for free" he chuckled. He rummaged through his pockets and found the hard drive the thug gave him. He stared at it for a long period of time. He expected it to do something interesting. It didn't do anything, he wondered what was inside. But he didn't really care, he was getting paid. He placed the drive back into his pouch and pet his Lawgriffarl. He felt like hanging around, just to see how things would turn out. If they needed his help, he'd help... As long as he'd get some credits.

Brayden had been efficient in the way he cut through the gangsters, making sure that when he slew them, he'd allow one out of every three or so to survive, this was meant to serve a dual purpose to make the thugs feel lucky that they escaped and therein more suggestible towards an agreement to work with the Jedi in exchange to continue living, and purely terrified of their skill. Though he had to admit after the battle had died down he allowed himself to go slightly overboard, this caused his senses to go more tunneled, and he was unable to sense when stray blaster fire hit a few civilians after the fact. This caused a mixture of embarrassment and annoyance in the man, frustrated as his inability to commandeer the situation so that the enemy would focus on the Jedi and not be so blindly stupid as to fire out into populated sectors. Embarrassment came from the fact, that he allowed civilians to get injured and a few perished because of his inability to sense their danger. He'd likely need to center himself before they ventured to the hide out for fear of causing unneeded destruction.

The one thing he had noticed during the fight however, was the use of lightning, though it was unlike any he'd experienced before, it was green, not purple or blue like the majority of the times he'd seen that type of attack before. He thought to himself, knowing what the skill was but having never seen it before in person, 'So that's electric judgement, a handy technique' the remains of the thug it was used upon evident of that, though he figured it was typical a former Sith would have such a technique in his arsenal. As he gazed over the town seeing that the battle was completed, he could sense 2 of the others, and an approaching figure, but was unable to feel the presence of the youngling who was with Kip. "Damn." Figuring the hood was no longer needed for the use of intimidation, he pulled it back letting it rest comfortably on his shoulders, while he looked around once more, allowing his crystal blue eyes to scan the battlefield, and his short somewhat unwieldy brown hair to wave with the gentle brush of wind.

The third person he sensed who he saw was talking with, Merrik appeared to be a Shark man, a 'Karkarodon' he remembered after a few seconds. Though it didn't take that long for Brayden to size him up and immediately determine his presence was no coincidence, and he was a dangerous individual. Shooting a knowing look at the man he turned his attention back to Merrik, "if I had to assume given the situation, he was likely singled out by one of the few men who actually had some semblance of intelligence. Afterwards he was probably knocked out and is awaiting us at their base of operations. Probably intending to use him as some kind of 'safety net' against us. This is why I was against bringing a youngling, damn kids just get in the way." His tone likely did nothing to improve his standing with Merrik, let alone the man who was his Master. After that short summary of the situation he immediately engaged the Shark man, "You're coming with us by the way, for free. I trust you alone about as much as I trust that damn 'reformed' Sith. Unless anyone here is in the mood for some Shark Fin Soup." His eyes gazed dangerous down at the man, his posture giving the indication he'd draw at any moment given the provocation. However, mainly he was waiting for responses from everyone else.

Ganthrax showed his teeth with a growl. They were pointed and sharp. However he didn't want to cause any chaos, it'd be foolish drawing his weapons. He nodded reluctantly and smiled. "At least I get some action, time to test out my rifle." Ganthrax said, pleased but unhappy he wasn't getting paid. He never usually did jobs for free but it'd be a change. "One more thing, enough with the shark crap." he laughed as he flicked all his weapons safety from 'ON' to 'OFF' . He smiled at Brayden and put his weapons back in their holsters. He rubbed the head of his Lawgriffarl and was ready to go. He sat back on the rock and waited.

Kip without a noise picked one of the gangsters and drug him out of sight to where the last member was that he had fried with his 'judgment' and held him over his remains.

"Where is the padawan...." He aggressively questioned, slowly raising his left hand, emerald sparks statically spiraling up his wrist, intertwining amongst his fingers. All Kip thought about was his padawan and how and why he had stepped away from him.

Kip drug him back and dropped him "this one volunteered to take us back...." He exclaimed pointing to the thug. "I have a plan..if you guys dont mind..its crazy but might work....me and merrik will assume as if we have been captured? And these fine gentlemen" pointing towards the remaining 4 thugs "will have captured us....you there mr hunter" pointing towards Ganthrax, "will have helped them subdue us, with your blasters at the ready just incase, and you brayden" he said confidently "you will give us a wide birth to our flank ensuring you are not seen. Once we get there.....well you guys know what to do....if its to crazy we can try something else and just go blasters a blazing....."
