Sun of high noon baked Smuggler's moon in its warmth, a pleasant feeling to say the least as it touched against their backs. The charcoal navy suit was an oddity amongst these parts though he walked with a certain impunity in his step that made others second guess their intention. Blue eyes scanned through the loitered streets before an armored hand placed itself around the handle, swinging its door on the hinges as he stepped inside.

"Ranger..." The barkeep howlered, perhaps on intent as to ward off and deter some of the undetected criminal activity taking place currently. Uvren smirked and responded with no verbage but instead claimed a seat for himself at the bar counter. Next to him was a beautiful woman, though he wasn't really quite sure of who she was or where she came from. Nonetheless, he found his own eyes drifting to the side to catch a glimpse before forcibly turning away as to prevent an embarrassing moment. He nodded to the tender before slipping some credits on the quartz counter, "Dark ale..." He spoke, lighting a cigarra in the process and merely waiting for now.

Alana didn't come here often, except she did, but this time was totally different than all the other times, because you see while Alana might have appeared to be drunk and down on her luck, in reality she actually was; shocker, I know. Sipping on a ruby blitz, Alana tried to fathom what she was going to do; she couldn't move back home, but at the same time she had to. She was certainly not doing too hot right now, and neither was her work to be honest. The guild apparently wasn't taking in new hires, and given she was a green horn, none of the syndicates wanted to give her much of anything for some hard labor.

She didn't realize she was getting attention until a man sat in behind her, though the only thing that caught her attention was the smell of smoke from the man's cigarette, which prompted her to turn towards the new comer. She liked a bit down straighten, her head pushed down on her head, silvery white hair covering her right eye, as she pushed it out of the way. She thought she heard the mention of being a 'ranger', which caused her to eye the man up, curious if she had broken any laws recently; hopefully he wasn't here to bring her in. "Evening, officer?" She started, asking the 'officer' part like it was a question to check if he was an actual officer or not.

Uvren turned his head to the side as the barkeep poured the drink, wiping off the fizzling fuzz as he brought it towards the countertop and set it to the Ranger's left. The mention of officer perked his ears, his eyes dashing to the right as he nodded in greeting towards the woman. "Evening, miss". He chuckled lightly at the notion of her question, replying smoothly, "Yes, it appears I'm a lonely lawman out in these parts. "

He spoke, turning back to the drink to get a taste. A bitter sensation hit his palate, causing his facial expression to grimace lightly. Certainly wasn't expecting the liquor on Smuggler's moon to taste the same as its environment, perhaps that was an incorrect assumption on his part.
Urven now turned to face the woman, glancing at her drink momentarily before returning eye contact. "I figured you might be a Vodka girl.."

Alana's eyes widened as she heard confirmation the man was indeed law enforcement. She wasn't a criminal, but Alana wasn't exactly an 'innocent', between the drug usage and petty theft, she wasn't the sort to kill someone but she'd probably be the one to get fined for illegal parking; soyes, petty criminal fit the bill all right. "Need to be careful then, some people prey on that sort of thing. Some of the ladies round here would just love to get to meet you, for example." She stated, taking her glass and moving it closer to her. She was in the mood for a conversation anyways, and the sherriff looked somewhat intresting, so what the hell. She smirked at his comment about her drink of choice. "Truth be told, I like the whiskey best, but we don't play nice of you catch my drift." She wasn't sure if he was trying to flirt or just being nosey, but whatever it might have been she put it off to the side; she frankly didn't care. "So officer, what brings you here? Hopefully you aren't here for work? Might get messy." She followed with, taking a glass and raising it to her lips as she drained it to he half empty. Hopefully he wasn't here for her, though she couldn't imagine what it was she might have done.

Uvren couldn't help but laugh, it was a natural reaction many had when they found out he was a ranger. Apparently being assigned to the Outer Rim had its perks, after all, it was funny watching the startling gestures when his presence was known. "Oh really? Figured with being called Smuggler's Moon, there would be more of us scattered around..." He said, taking another long drink from the ale before setting it down and pushing it to the side.

"Seems I've forgotten my manners...I'm Uvren Sol..Sector Ranger.." He spoke, extending his hand out in greeting. "That's not a bad thing I suppose, I'd rather prefer if you didn't play nicely.." He said, adding a flirtatious wink in with the conclusion of that statement. Afterwards, his attention shifted to the barkeep and he motioned with two fingers, two shot glasses filled with whiskey arriving moments after for the pair.

"A question for a drink..its a fun game...Deal?" He asked, before taking the shot down himself. "I patrol these regions quite often, our presence is frequently necessary to deter the more serious offenders..." He said, turning towards her and motioning to her glass. "What about you?"

Alana raised an eyebrow at the ranger's laugh, tilting her head as she didn't quite get the joke. Then it hit her, he was just being sarcastic. Cute. "Just surprised you fellers feel safe walking around here with your badges on. Appreciate the work you do, but just gotta wonder if your running off courage of ignorance. I'm going to take a shot and say courage." The corner of her mouth tensed up in a smile, as she finished off her glass and slide it to the bartender.

She looked back to the ranger as he downed his ale, seemingly ready to get some shots rolling as he revealed his name to Alana. Uvren? Interesting name, though the whisky shots being poured were taking up most of Alana's attention as she looked it down at the shot glass and snickered. "Oh you are not playing fair officer." She shook her head, groaning and dragging her hand drown the front of her face, before looking back to the one buying the shots. "Right, and I'm Alana. Failed free lancer for hire." She grinned, taking up the glass and nodding along with what the ranger said. It seemed like a fun game after all, though her liver was going to be literally killing her tonight. "I'm game, do your worst." Alana laughed, before knocking back her shot as the question bounced back to her. "Me? Nah, new to this place. Just trying to find work is all." She licked her lips, feeling that whiskey burn in all the right places. Alana pointed back to Uvren, snickering as her drinks from earlier were starting to work their magic. "So, be real with me here, are you here to arrest me?" She just wanted to get that over and done with, after all her anxiety was her own worst enemy.

Uvren laughed, "Well I mean, if you didn't feel safe walking around with a badge, I'd suppose it would have no purpose. Even on a place like Smuggler's moon.." He said, thinking to himself that perhaps there was some foolishness in announcing his presence as a peacekeeper. Though in the short time he had been a Ranger, that had never seemingly been an issue, in fact, he felt it made the lesser thugs deter from whichever criminal enterprise they planned on launching.

"Who said anything about fair?" He teased her, watching her consume the shot before he ordered two more to replace them. "Ahh I see, well this place is good as any to get a start. Where did you come from?" He asked, waiting for the next round of whiskey to arrive before he took his shot again. He lofted a brow however as she asked him about the arrest, was she one of these criminals he hunted the galaxy for? She certainly didn't seem like it? Besides, what was the fun in that.

"Depends, miss Alana, have you been a bad girl?"

It was pretty stupid of him to announce himself as a sector ranger. If she was a person of lesser moral character, she might have even thought about killing him and taking in a bounty, but she couldn't even fathom doing such an act. She merely smiled at the poor officer and shook her head. He had to be new, someone that knew what they were doing would never have gotten themselves in this situation.

"I'm from Dantooine if you must know, born on Corellia, but was raised on Dantooine." She answered, curious what exactly this guy was wanting; other than the obvious, which if that was the case he was a terrible police officer.Still, out of most the guys she had met in these seedy bars, at least this one seemed to have an actual career; sorry, but being a career criminal didn't mean you actually had a career. But force save this man, he was terrible at flirting. In fact, he actually got an almost audible groan from Alana's lips, but she held it together; maybe he had a few too many before slinking on in here. Alana rolled her eyes at his question, waving him off with her free hand. "Well wouldn't you like to know." She tried to hide her grin, feeling like she could sell this guy some water front property on Tattooine. "That's another drink you owe me Officer. Drink for a Question, that's what you said, remember?" She stated boldly, taking a second whiskey shot and slammed it down on the counter.
