"Well, I guess I'll tell you my story never knew my mother. whenever I asked my dad about it..he would freeze up and he said he'd tell me when
I was old enough and RZ wouldn't tell me either because he wanted me to be happy I guess. I had a gift..of some sort..I could heal minor cuts and bruises easily but a broken bone..well I don't think I could heal that. Dad let me work on that gift but he also said not to do it in public. and I remember some older kids they were part of a group called the ratpack. they taught me how to pickpocket..when dad found out he yelled at me and said to never do it again..so I obeyed him."
Mira looks down at her half eaten food before turning to you. "I'd like to know who my mother is..dad said that a man named Sen could help me but he also said my chances of meeting him are very slim." Mira looks up at you after finishing her food. "Do you know who this Sen person is?"

Jalen nodded as Mira spoke. She seemed to have some affinity for Force Healing; perhaps when she was ready to be trained Jalen could find a consular or other healer and suggest her to be their apprentice. The Kiffar liked her, she had spirit, but he was a warrior. Not a bulky, strong, front-line warrior, but a warrior nonetheless. As for this Sen, the young Knight had no clue about him.

"Sorry Mira, that name doesn't ring any bells. Not like I know many other Jedi, but perhaps if we took a trip down to the archives later you could search for him."

Since Mira would probably be a little disappointed that the mysterious Sen remained mysterious, Jalen decided to try and do the only thing he was good at with younglings. After Mira finished her food, the Kiffar would lead her to a training room, asking ever so humbly,

"Hey, do you want me to show you some of my amazing, incredibly masterful lightsaber skills?"

Mira looked up at him with awe and without hesitating smiled and spoke "Yes please! I'd love to see how Jedi fight without, you know..killing eachother." Mira held Jalen's hand and quickly pulled him away from the mess hall trying to find where the training room was. "Right so where is the training room? And I heard that Jedi fight really weirdly like they fight with jumping and stabbing..I mean, it seems like they like to draw out the battle..my dad taught like he wanted to end it quickly because he just went and attacked..sorry I'm rambling..I uh usually don't do that I'm sorry.." Mira hid her face embarrassed about how much she was talking to the young knight she felt he was beginning to become annoyed with her.

Jalen smiled softly as the youngling rambled on about the general public's view of the art of a duel. He didn't mind it, but the Kiffar could sense that she wasn't aware of that. To was Mira's mind, he gently placed his hand on her shoulder. When they arrived at the training room, he led her to the back where 10 training droids stood charging against the wall. Motioning for Mira to stay against the wall, the Knight activated 3 of the droids at once.

They're yellow "eyes" turned on, and they walked into the open space facing Jalen. At once, their blue and green training sabers ignited from their hands and they began to advance on him. In the Kiffar's left hand sat his own lightsaber, which sprang to life with a brilliant violet glow. A mere second later, the cross guard blades also activated, and the Kiffar heard a small gasp of surprise from the youngling behind him. With one hand, he used the Force to throw two of the droids into each other and against a wall, while his violet blade sparked against the overhead slash of the 3rd droid's blue blade. With two hands on his blade, the Knight pushed against the droid, knocking it back before somersaulting over it and decapitaing the droid.

By know the other two were back on their feet, their two green blades ignited as they once again advanced. Jalen rushed forward and traded a few quick blows with one before jumping back just as the other tried to stab him. It ended up stabbing the other droid, putting him down. While the last droid was distracted trying to remove its lightsaber from droid No. 2's chest, the Kiffar deactivated his lightsaber and from inside his right sleeve, his Gen'Al blade slipped into his hand. With a single leap, he buried the blade inside the droid's head, shutting it down. Removing it, he glanced towards Mira to see what her response would be.

She look at him in awe and she clapped. "That was amazing! Can you teach me some of that?" She walked up to the broken droids "I could repair these with just a bit of wiring and a new piece of sheet metal.." She smiled up at Jalen and looked at another pair of training droids "I wanna see how good I am at the start and later I'll see how I've improved.." She puts her small blaster out of her pocket and puts it on the ground of the training room floor.

She was eager, that was for sure. Jalen used the Force to push the broken droids to the other side of the room, and walk over to the wall to activate a new one. He noticed Mira place her pistol, the only weapon he knew she had, on the floor. This worried him a great deal, but he supposed she could have other weapons to use. Before activating the training droid, the Kiffar set its blaster to only induce a slight sting, should the youngling be hit.

Finally he activated the droid, and stepped aside to let Mira fight it. The Jedi gripped his lightsaber hilt, just in case the youngling became overwhelmed. Jalen quietly remembered his first time fighting one of these droids; he had almost cut off his arm with his double-bladed lightsaber.

"Fight it as best you can Mira. I will only intervene if you're about to be hurt."

Mira nods and ignites her father's lightsaber she holds tight to its hilt back up slightly waiting for the droid to fire. The droid charges at her Mira dodges and blocks slowly inching closer she looks for the droid's weak point as she knew all droids had some sort of weakness in case something went wrong and it had to be shut down. She watched carefully dodging and avoiding fire then she sees a loose bolt on one of its arms. She slashes at it and the arm of the droid wobbles slightly before it fell to the ground. She looks around the droid for anymore weak spots she jumps up and from her brief moment in the air she sees a small square shaped indent she guessed that's where the power core lies. She used her temporary momentum in the air to add more Force to her strike hitting almost dead center on the droid. The droid whirrs and then falls over. She looks up at Jalen panting slightly. "So how was that? Did I do well?"

Jalen had to admit, he was surprised that Mira had a lightsaber. Even more so, the Kiffar was shocked to see that she could wield it without hurting herself and as if she was already a few months or so into Jedi training, having displayed various elements of Shii Cho, the most basic lightsaber combat form. Then, on top of everything, the young Jedi Knight was astounded that she was able to actually defeat the training droid on her first try, and without a great deal of hardship at that.

"That was... amazing, Mira. Once we're both older, say two years or so, I'd gladly take you on as a Padawan. Hopefully by then I'm still alive to teach you and the tyranny of the Sith has been defeated. I've got to say, you've got talent. My mother would like you, hopefully you can meet her at some point."

"Thank you Jalen. I was just looking for the droid's weak spot that usually happens from frequent use..also the fact that the droid has a power core on its back meant that with a strike and enough force or height you can easily take them down..my dad used to build these for some guy on Curoscant." She looks up at him a light blush spreads across her cheeks she shuffles her left foot before speaking "ah, um I'm sorry for rambling but whenever I'm with you I feel like telling you stuff..usually when it comes to others I mostly stay quiet and keep my head low so to not cause trouble.." Mira looks at the other droids "Um Jalen? When do you think they'll bring RZ back? I've never been this long without him..I guess I shouldn't have gotten attached to him..I mean if you're attached to someone and they get hurt or die then..you'd do bad things right? I've heard of good people doing bad things because of attachments.."

Jalen patted the girl's head, unsure of how exactly to proceed. Her droid would probably be back soon, they had been wandering around for almost two hours now. When Mira began to talk about attachments though, the passionate Kiffar launched into an almost debate-like speech.

"You see Mira, sometimes the loss of a loved one can drive a person to do terrible things; for example, my mother and I once met a Mandalorian who used to be a Jedi; he left when he killed his master after his girlfriend's death. However, the way I see it, the power of positive emotions such as love, and happy memories, can fuel us the same way pain, hate, and suffering fuels the Sith. It makes us stronger, and deepens our connection to the Light Side. You may hear many older Masters complain about my mother and I sometimes, as we don't strictly and blindly follow the Jedi Code, rather we interpret it for ourselves, and follow where our hearts and the Force lead us."

Jalen took a breath before going on, and hoped that what he was about to say next, Mira would never repeat.

"You don't have to be perfect either. Me? I have a gambling addiction, and I've taken to drinking a bit when my mother isn't around. Heck, I even 'shared a room' with some beautiful human guy a few weeks back, if you catch my drift."

@Undine [I think we're ready for Kesiya's return if you are, then we can wrap this thread up.]

Mira looked up at Jalen and nodded “I see so you should use the light side of the Force and positive emotions to strengthen the bond with it..” she picks up her blaster and puts it in her pocket along with putter her father’s lightsaber in another pocket. “Although you ended up rooming with another guy? What’s wrong with that?” Mira didn’t seem to get what Jalen was saying her small fuzzy eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

It had taken almost two hours for Kesiya's request to clear through the archives on Dantoonie. It seemed that whoever these Starwind and Odo Sateel were. If Mira had been told the truth, then there would be some sort of records of Jedi under those names. Just because Kesiya had never heard the names didn't mean anything, there were thousands of Jedi, Kesiya could name maybe over one hundred of them. Her thoughts shifted as one of the higher ranking librarians called for her, using her actual name rather than her rank. Kesiya hated when they did that, but the librarians had to keep records of who made inquiries into the the secured archives, Kesiya had even had to remove her helmet and over retina verification. She loved the severity of the security, it made her job easier, mostly, but when she was doing something like this it just made things more difficult. "Knight Namia, your request had been process, follow me." The elderly Ithorian woman spoke through a communicator that translated her native tongue into a computerized voice. Kesiya had known the woman for years, the Jedi Master use to be stationed in the libraries on Tython and had been running data crystals to Jedha when the planet was destroyed. There were countless stories of those that had nearly died on Tython, but there seemed to be twice as many as those who'd died.

Keisya stood from her bench and followed the Ithorian to the back of the library where the temple's vault was located. All of the temples had libraries, and they served as the communication centers of the Order. Every temple had it's own archive, the ones on Dantooine and Ilum being the largest. For the most part all the archives could be remotely accessed by any member of the Jedi or those allowed to access them outside of the Order, mostly scientists or researchers looking for specific information. The room Kesiya was about to walk into was not open to the public, it was the Jedi vaults, separated into multiple sections each locked off from one another requiring various levels of passcodes and security verification. Luckily, Keisya only needed to get into the first room to accept the information she'd requested from Dantooine. The Ithorian Jedi Master typed an eight digit passcode into the pad next to the door before typing into a five digit verification code. The door opened and the librarian waited for Keisya to enter first before following suit.

Keisya spent the next five minutes or so mentally scanning through the information in front of her. Odo Sateel was a second generation Jedi born to a Jedi father on Coruscant. Apparently he'd gone missing about a decade or so ago along with another Jedi Knight named Kira Ava'ne. Kesiya clicked the link to Kira's profile only to discover the woman had been born on Korriban, a Jedi after her own heart it seemed, as Keisya herself had been born on Ziost, another sith homeworld. Apparently both of the Jedi Knights had been trained by a Jedi Master going by the name of Coro Sen. Kesiya asked the librarian to locate the file on the Jedi Master to see if he was still in the Order before closing the files of Odo Sateel and Kira Ava'ne, as their profiles contained nothing more than training and disciplinary records from their time as younglings and padawans. Other than that there was a list of missions, most of which the two seemed to have worked together on.

So Mira's story checked out, her father Odo Sateel had been a Jedi, it was good to know what had ended up happening to him though, even if he was dead. If Master Sen was still alive then perhaps some small amount of peace could be given to him about the loss of his padawans. There was another name Kesiya wanted to look up though, Mira's last name was Starwind, a name she did not share with her father, Knight Sateel. If Kesiya could located the origin of that name, perhaps even find another Jedi with the surname then there was a chance that the fate of the other missing Jedi Knight could be uncovered, Knight Ava'ne. Opening the archive's search engine, Keisya typed in the name she was looking for, the only entry seemed to be a noble house from Onderon. It wasn't until she came across the name Kira Starwind in the family records that it clicked, Kira Ava'ne and Kira Starwind had to be the same people, that would explain Mira's last name and her connection to Knight Sateel, it also explained the message found in Mira's droid.

Kesiya almost left the room before the librarian stopped her. "Jedi Master Coro Sen is actually on Onderon at the moment, his quarters are located on the third floor overlooking the temple gardens." Kesiya actually smiled, it would be an honor to give him the news on his two padawans in person, as well as present Mira to him. With that thought in mind she commed Doneric who was still monitoring the security cameras to find out where Knight Sera and Miss Starwind were located. Apparently they were training with in one of the sparring rooms and Doneric seemed to be kinda annoyed by that. Keisya agreed it seemed a little soon to be training with a lightsaber, but it wasn't until she walked through the door to see the destroyed droids lying about that she knew what the Chiss had meant.

Walking silently towards the pair of Jedi, Kesiya reached out to the wall covered in various forms of non-lethal sparring weapons, calling a pink hued training saber to her hand before igniting it. "If you want to train with the droids, use a training saber, they are programed to shut off when hit and you avoid costing the temple the resources to replace them." With that, Keisya handed the training saber to the youngling, for now she'd allow Mira to keep her normal lightsaber so long as she didn't continue using it to destroy anything else in the temple. "There are hundreds of sparring weapons available, in many different forms of weaponry and you may choose whichever you prefer, in whatever color you like." Kesiya turned her attention to Jalen, who should have known better but perhaps he'd been raised by a Jedi who lacked the proper respect for the Order's property. In his case, there was only one thing to be done. "Perhaps Knight Kron would like to display some of the more advanced lightsaber forms with someone a bit more challenging than a sparring droid?" With that thought in mind Keisya pulled another two lightsabers off the wall, one violet and another crimson red before offering the violet one to her opponent. As she was not allowed to carry her guard shotos while on duty nor was she allowed to ignite her own saberstaff unless there was just cause to do so, and for the sake of not injuring the newly knighted Jedi, they would both use training sabers for this, should the Kiffar accept her offer.

Mira looked down ashamed shuffling her left foot awkwardly “I’m sorry Miss Kesiya..or should I call you something else? I’m really sorry for destroying the droids I can repair them! Please don’t be upset at Jalen!” Mira looked up at you tears pricking the corners of her eyes she looked really upset her words were sincer and her voice cracked a bit as if holding back her fear of you punishing them. “I can go out and get some good quality metal and I can easily fix them..my dad taught me about training droid he built a smaller one for me and I had to fix it so I can easily repair them..” Mira rambles on her mind frantically trying to ease your perceived worries.

"Perhaps Knight Kron would like to display some of the more advanced lightsaber forms with someone a bit more challenging than a sparring droid?"

Jalen grabbed the saber that the Temple Guard tossed him. Its violet blade was a comfort to him, but the hilt felt off balanced. The Kiffar had gotten used to the feel of his own crossguarded lightsaber, and has never really had the chance to use a true standard one. He glanced over at Mira, who was fretting about the broken droids. He calmly said,

"Mira, how about this. You're good with mechanics, and now is a prime opportunity to test your skills. If I win this sparring match, the Temple pays for the parts. If I lose, I pay. How does that sound to you, Captain?"

He addressed Kesiya at the end, and held his lightsaber to the right, angled down slightly, ready to defend in case she made a move. For Jalen, the match was more about not backing down from a challenge, and getting the chance to show Mira his real skills.

Mira nodded and wiped away her eyes with her sleeve. She walked back a good distance as to be able to see the fight but just enough so she didn’t get hurt.

It hadn't taken more than a few short steps once they'd started, Kesiya counted eight seconds from the time their training sabers ignited to the point of Knight Kron being disarmed. "I would remind you not to accept the challenge of an opponent who is incapable of providing a lost you can learn from. Gaps in skill that are too wide leave nothing but resentment in their wake, take a lesson in humility and challenge yourself to remember better." Kesiya guiding the training saber she'd used back to it's place on the wall, turning to look at the youngling before her and the Jedi Knight as the thought struck her. "My apologies Miss Starwind, I had meant to tell you that I believe to know the identity of your mother. Jedi Knight Kira Ava'ne married an Alderaanian nobleman a short time before your birth, his family's name was Starwind. If you would like, your mother's former master is located on Onderon, Master Coro Sen. I would be happy to lead both you and Knight Kron to the Jedi Master's quarters." With that, Kesiya would lead the two young Jedi through the halls and deeper into the temple.

Mira smiled and grabbed hold of Jalen's hand as we walked further into the temple Mira looked around curiously at all the new things she saw befire asking "Um..Miss Naima..what's Master Sen like? Is he nice? I mean, I'm a bit nervous about this and yet..I'm glad to know who my mother and father are.." Mira saw in front of her was a plain door leading to Master Sen's room she hesitantly walked a few steps closer to the door and knocked softly before a calm and cool voice came from the other side of the door. "Please come in, Captain Naima..I've been expecting you..The Head Librarian informed me of you wanting to speak to me." Mira jumped a bit startled by the man's voice she swiftly removed her hand from the door and put it into her pocket as she waited for Kesiya or Jalen to open the door into Master Sen's room.

Jalen was surprised at how quickly he was disarmed by the Guard captain. He mentally noted to himself not to let himself be so quickly disarmed in a real duel, and never be so foolish or arrogant to get himself literally disarmed. Luckily, Kesiya had managed to find information in the archives about Mira's family, specifically her mother. They were apparently going to go meet Mira's mother's former master, who, as chance would have it, happened to be in the Temple. The Kiffar initially flinched as Mira reached up and grabbed his hand; he was still trying to get used to the youngling and her apparent attachment, as it was completely foreign go him. The Knight followed as Kesiya led them to master Coro Sen's room, and after Mira knocked, Jalen opened the door with an absent-minded flick of his hand.

The room was sparsely decorated a few small plants were in the room a few chairs to sit in and some other basic enmities. He was sitting at his desk typing something into his datapad. He got up and walked over. Mira noted he was quite graceful for someone that towered over the youngling. He looked at Jalen with a indifferent look and with an air of serenity he spoke “Welcome to my humble abode.,You must be Knight Kron I believe I saw you knighted some time ago” He turned to Mira and squared down as to be less intimidating to the youngling “and you are the new arrival..Mira Starwind you’ve caused a bit of a shock amongst some of the older masters for your unorthodox enterance and who you chose to learn from..” He looked closer at Mira and nodded, Mira looked confused as he stood up and walked over to a desk and motioned for them to sit down on the chairs. “So I’m assuming that you wanted to talk to me about Jalen or Mira correct?”he sat down and waited patiently for them to speak.

Jalen gave the old master a nod of appreciation at the mention of seeing his knighting; the Kiffar hadn't been aware that any Jedi members of a higher rank had been there. They were scared that the young Knight used emotion to fuel his power, and that he completely disregarded the "accepted" interpretation of the Jedi Code, instead following it as he interpreted it and as he felt the Force was guiding him. This, he presumed, was what Master Sen was referring to when he mentioned to Mira her unorthodox decision of who to learn from. A brief anger swelled up in Jalen, but he quickly suppressed it, instead saying,

"It seems my presence here isn't warranted at the moment. In any case, I have to go to a briefing about my next mission; infiltrating the capitol building on Thila and removing the man in charge from office. Mira, we'll meet again soon; I hope with me in one piece."

This is me exiting from this mostly abandoned thread. If you want, I can create a new thread that takes place after Sreeya kicked Jalen's ass on Thila, with Mira visiting Jalen in a hospital. How does that sound?
