Canto Bight.

The City had a reputation as a jewel in the crown of the gambling scene. Playground of the rich and the powerful, it was a hub of high finance and higher stakes. It also happened to be a city where Julia Hipori had a residence. Well, technically speaking.

In actuality, her residence on Cantonica was a yacht.

Parked up in one of the marinas in the City, the 'Azure Star' was an older design, albeit newly constructed for her personally. She spent quite a considerable amount of time somewhere when she wasn't jetting around the Galaxy for work. The second vessel of the yacht class in her possession was considerably more significant than the sleeker model she used in the outer rim. This one was built as a home, not as a transport.

There were perks to having it registered here, which ensured her ownership status was anonymised, and she could bring her own security. Sat in the main lounge of the opulently appointed vessel, she clocked her protection now. Six security personnel monitored the ship, two by the entrance ramp, one inside the room with her, and the remaining three patrolling the vessel itself. Each was dressed in an armoured suit, with a pistol in a shoulder holster.

Julia had recruited them directly from Blackwells Security division when she had taken on additional responsibilities that placed her under more direct threat. She was not a woman who took her safety lightly. Checking through her datapad, Julia sat in a high-backed chair looking out of one of the floor-to-ceiling viewports of the yacht. She wore a white dress, her hair tied up in a modern take on a traditional style from her homeworld.

The men with whom she was meeting were due to arrive soon...

Reddick Vanguard was not a scientist, but he was a soldier, and right now the galaxy needed someone to hammer the Killik into submission. However, this wouldn't stop the Governor of Tatooine from exploring better alternatives that could potentially require less casualties. Julia Hypori was a genius, by Reddick's standards anyway, and was more than happy to lend a fist or two.

"Miss Hypori," Reddick inclined his head in a respectful bow before removing his helmet. The yacht was a little much for Reddick, but it was nice nonetheless. Canto Bight must have been the place to show off your yearly gross rate. The security team did impress the Governor however, but Reddick came by his lonesome. I am my security team. Or that's what the wife had joked about the night before. "If I am going to be honest, I'm not sure how much help I'll be. Chemistry has never been my strong suit." His face was still as stern and determined looking as ever.

"Nevertheless, I am here to get things done." When it came to militaristic tactics, Reddick was at home. You could give him a club and throw him in a pit with a bunch of Gamorreans and he'd find a way to come out on top. Tactical strategery was his strong suit and he was more than willing to assist if such a topic came up. "Give me the nails and I'll be the hammer."

It had been a long while since Orrell had set foot on the planet Cantonica, his homeworld. he was a child when he left this world and now he was an inventor and businessman, he would have liked to return to his world with his rightful inheritance in hand but this could be a step in the right direction as a senator of the CSA could be a powerful ally.

Orell Atlan approached the yacht flanked by two P1-D3S droids they would stop at the entrance ramp hold their position opposite Hipori's own guards. Orell knew to never come empty-handed to a meeting like this. under his arm, he carried two boxes, made of fine wood.

"you underestimate the use of the feedback of an experienced soldier, senator Vanguard." he would speak as he entered the room, wearing clean cut but expensive suit. "Miss Hipori," he would bow his head to her.

Julia had to concentrate on not rolling her eyes at the display of machismo the Governor was putting on. So, instead, she smiled politely but did not respond to his comment.

"Please, call me Julia." shaking hands with Orrell as he walked in and made his introduction, she invited both gentlemen to take their seats and did so herself. "I think you have already guessed why I invited you here this afternoon," she assumed, quickly reminding them.

"The Killik represent one of the most significant threats we have faced in recent history. Yet, simultaneously, from these threats comes an opportunity for those with the wit, skill and resources to seize it. By now, you will both have seen the Consortiums promise to financial aid the ones who secure a weapon that can be used to end this threat?"

It was a rhetorical question.

"The Governor and I have already scouted and secured a location for a lab to conduct research. I believe that, with your scientific acumen and that of other scientists I can bring in, Mr Atlan, we could claim this prize."
