Gonna go ahead and close down the thread. Sorry if I've accidentally teased anyone who's reading a PM after the thread fills up. :( There will be many more adventures! The thread filled up quicker than I imagined.

Thanks to a friend for letting me shamelessly rip off his thread title for something completely different!

This thread is kind of supposed to mark my return to SWRP, an event which I posted about weeks ago and then immediately disappeared after announcing. I've been on vacation for the last two weeks, and wanted to make sure my activity would survive once my excess free time dried up, and it seems like it might, so here we go.

Anyone is welcome as long as they feel they can contribute to the plot. I don't care about posting length or any quality control beyond respecting other players in the thread and trying not to toss out too many one-liners.

PM me or add me on Skype if anyone has any questions. I have a rough idea hashed out for the story but I want to see where it evolves!

This is flexible. If you can change positions with someone at whatever point in the story we're at, feel free to. But don't clutter up the thread with responses while someone's lagging behind and needs to catch up. And leave my spot in the post order so that I can further the plot appropriately.

I read through your character sheets. I like your characters, but I think the one who has the most potential for an interesting dynamic and a productive interaction with the thread is probably Alya! That and it would be great to build a rapport with another indy Force user. Who knows, perhaps this will lead into further adventures. :O

Sure, no rush. I sent out PMs to a few people to try and rouse some interest as well. I don't have faith in my ability to draw a crowd, haha. Hopefully if they see interest more will bite, however!

That'll put us at 4 total along with the person who's told me they're joining via PM. I'll wait for one more and close up the thread, after 5 things tend to get chaotic.

Gonna go ahead and start a posting order.

So far it's Me, Relent, Flame. If Sid hasn't posted by tomorrow morning (which is when I'll have free time to reply to the thread) I'll go ahead and put a response up. Sid can jump in from there and it'll be me, Relent, Flame, Sid, me again etc. If anyone else joins we'll work 'em into the mix.

Yup! Sid told me he's in the process of posting, and then I'll probably jump in there myself. Afterwards our last player will probably show up and we can really get the ball on the road.

I'll edit the first post of the OOC to include the post order. It's flexible, but try not to go more than a round without including one of us unless we've fallen inactive.

As far as the NPC I've just introduced, all of you can feel free to control him a bit to help the flow of the next round. Don't kill him, and remember that he's a(n apparently power drunk) Force user who has quite an advantage on us at the moment. Otherwise do whatever works.

I'm glad you're interested in reading! I hope there are others who will read the thread even though they're not participating.

I'm going to interrupt the post order to quickly further the story along a little bit so that Kaane and Sid have something new to respond to. I may do this periodically so that we all don't get bogged down responding to the same thing.

EDIT: To any players reading this post, I figure I'll give fair warning! Treat NPC encounters as truly dangerous and fights as carefully as you would a spar with another PC. I'm a benevolent DM and I love you all dearly, so I have no intention of being too harsh, but if the need arises be prepared to lose a limb or a life if you make it too tempting. ;)

I'll try to get a post in asap. Sorry for the long wait, just had a few problems to deal with earlier today. Also I'm making an edit to the last half of my first post since parts of it don't make sense, at least to me.

Hey guys. I may or may not be able to post tonight. If I don't I'll try to post tomorrow morning. In the very worst case scenario I won't be able to post till tomorrow evening, but I'll hopefully avoid that. Sid and Kaane can post whenever.

I've asked Relent to go ahead and be the DM for this round if I can't post, to keep things running smoothly. So if she posts controlling the NPC's actions and her own, consider it the start of a new round (ie, after her would go Flame or Kaane or Sid or whoever can post). I'll get a post in wherever I can and afterwards we'll go back to our normal post order.

This has given me an interesting idea, however. All of you are going to be crafting the story as much as I am. I think it would be interesting if every couple of turns, someone else was the DM for a round. This round it's Relent. Then it could be Flame, then Kaane, then Sid. Of course this would be completely voluntary, but I think you could all do it. If you think there's something I've considered integral to the plot that you don't want to ignore/step on, just ask, but it is a freeform RP. I'll try my best to adapt to what you guys do.

I hate to say this when we're already getting into this, but something's come up irl and I realized that I literally don't have the time or the energy to RP at this scale (though I really do want to T_T). I'm taking some stuff off my plate from here so RPing remains fun and not a chore.

Long story short, I'm going to back out of this one. So there's one slot open for anyone who was really interested in this RP ^^.

Have fun making the story though, I'll definitely be lurking and checking it out from time to time :P.
