Hello everyone.Lack of sleep has driven me to look for alternative uses of my time and here I am on the RP forum. I am hoping to write a bio for a character (I am thinking an Imperial Intelligence deserter) and start playing as soon as possible. A quick question. If my character is one of those Chiss agents, who underwent surgical transformations to go undercover as a Hapan, should he be written as a very strange Chiss or a Hapan with particularly good night-vision?

The most aggressive campaign of the war came when the Sith made a push to destroy and conquer the Hapes Consortium. The first steps to a conquest of the Hapan territory began early in the war, with the Sith using Chiss agents to infiltrate the Consortium, even though the Chiss Ascendancy declined in power. The Sith felt that the Chiss were best suited to the role of infiltrators; both the Chiss and the Hapans were xenophobic, secretive, and technologically advanced, and it was simple enough to cosmetically alter a Chiss to look Hapan. The Chiss culture was also similar to that of the Consortium, so the Chiss found Hapan politics and culture easy to understand and, as such, manipulate to their advantage.

You would be Chiss since you underwent transformation to be a Hapan. FYI, they were cosmetic transformations, not surgical, at least to my knowledge.

Hi there and welcome to SWRP, Skpt

I'm not quite sure how to answer that, to be honest. A transformation from Chiss to Hapan is quite a extraordinary one, and he would, as it is the nature of humanoids, be seen as Hapan with strangely good night vision. You'd have to explain the lack o red eyes and blue/black skin every time anew you meet one if you want to play him the Chiss-side.

Att the end: He'd be a Chiss wihout all marks identifying him as such.

I'm sure someone with more background info may poop up soon ^^
