No killing in this thread, please!
Place: Capital City of Argazda
Time: Midday
Devhun Ballesse pulled his hood up to cover his head as he made his way through the crowded market. He was a wanted man and he knew it, which was why he had chosen this particular planet to hide out on. It was well known for being a place that was pro slavery, and any place that was pro slavery tended to turn at least a partial blind eye towards those who were the criminal sort. He had been going from planet to planet and taking out a loan with anyone who would hear him out, using fake names and even giving up some faked documentation on 'collatteral', and then using the acquired funds to purchase explosives. He was something of a terrorist, his bombs exploding not on military targets but rather in the food supplies of the citizens of the Sith Empire, and had caused quite a few casualties and injuries on so-called 'innocents'. He had never viewed his actions as immoral, he was only fighting the enemy in his own way. He came to a stop at a holo-station and sat down to get in contact with his network, to see where his next target would be.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lairiel stepped off the transport and in to the spaceport, her armor left behind today in preference of some civilian-like clothes that would help her blend in a bit better. With her rifle slung over her shoulder and a blaster pistol secured to her hip it wasn't likely she would escape everyone's notice, but she would have need of the rifle this day if all went according to plan, and could not leave it behind. She pulled out a datapad and took a few minutes getting used to the lay of the land; this was her first visit to the city and she didn't know her way around. She wasn't quite used to cities in the first place, having grown up on a farm and then entering work as a mercenary had kept her out of them, except for visiting. She would have preferred not to enter this city either, but there was a man who was attacking civilian farming equipment and he had been spotted in the area. While her own family had not yet been effected, Devhun Ballesse had recently been targeting her own homeworld, and she would not stand for it. When the call had been put out to put a stop to this man, she had readily volunteered. Her fingers manipulated the information on the datapad and a hologram of the man in question appeared. He was a human in fairly nondescript clothing, with dark hair and a scar on his right cheek that should make him stand out in most people's eyes.

Her feet started to move again, carrying her towards one of the local cantinas. Her next step was going to have to be footwork, as she didn't have some extensive spy network to call on. Instead she would go from one bar to the next, bringing up the hologram and asking the bartenders if they had seen the man. A few credits to help their memories recollect was usually all it took, and then she was moving on to the next one. It would be a long road, by her figuring, in order to find him and put him down.

The Sel'kath looked down at the the lights of the city below him as his starship broke through the atmosphere fire burning across the view screen. His droid beeped as his circuits heated up. The Sel'kath broke though lowering the ship onto the the landing platform as his ship touched down he threw up the window and stepping out of the ship. A man in uniform stepped forward and Selona signed off on the rent of the platform. He walked away his droid following behind him. He entered a bar and showed the bartender a hologram. It was the face of a man who had not payed his debts. He was on this planet looking for the man who had taken a large loan, bought some explosives and went on a terrorist rampage. He would find the man and make him pay. He looked over seeing a blonde girl sitting down. He nodded at her and sat down 1 booth away.

She was already to her third bar by the times she encountered some competition. It was to be expected, with the kinds of loans and enemies that Devhun had accrued over the course of the last year. She was actually surprised he wasn't sporting some broken legs or thumbs already from not paying his debts. Either he had been constantly on the run or he had some friends in high places that had so far managed to keep him safe. She didn't think even the Jedi or Republic would stoop to blowing up civilians, but perhaps there were some sects that might. It was a Sel'kath she first saw, with a hologram not unlike her own depicting the man, and he was asking for a location as well. She had sat down to study the Sel'kath in question when he had nodded at her and sat down as well.

She knew he couldn't have recognized her based on her affiliation. Had he seen her showing that same hologram? She hadn't seen him come in, so it was possible. Something to think about, at least. Without a word she rose from her recently acquired seat and moved out of the bar, looking back over her shoulder to ensure he wasn't following closely behind her. She turned and started to make her way down the busy street, before moving to question someone selling meat in the middle of the busy street. A few more credits changed hands and she stood there conversing quietly with the man, while checking back over her shoulder.

The man looked around and beckoned with his hand ordering two men, a Wookie and a Bothan to come over to him. They where some of his grunts. He whispered for them to follow the women that had just left the bar. He found her suspicious and suspected she knew where to find the man he was after. He handed them so credits and said "No killing her, even if she does fight back." He said and threw his feet up onto the table ordering another drink. He could have another. The man was getting no where anytime soon.

She couldn't be sure yet, but she was pretty sure she had picked up a tail. Was it just her imagination, or was there a pair following her? She thanked the meat vendor and turned to continue walking, no looking back. She made her way to the next bar down the line, some three blocks away, before turning to enter it. As soon as she was inside she hurried to a booth where she could put her back to the wall and watch the front door for a few minutes, to see if the two she had suspected of following her would come in. If they did, she would have to figure out some other course of action. Either way, after those few minutes she would be moving to the bartender and questioning him about the whereabouts of her current target, and finding out he had been spotted lately near the spaceport. That wasn't good; if he got off planet it would be quite difficult to track him down.

She passed a few credits to the barkeep and made a quick exit, her steps hurried as she made her way back towards the spaceport. She would have to check some of the taverns nearer to it, before he had a chance to finish up his business and find a shuttle off planet. She wasn't looking back over her shoulder now either, the two following her would have to hurry as well to keep up and that would make them stand out in the crowd when she did.

The men rushed forward through the crowd slamming into a group of elderly old ladys. They muttered there apologies as the raced after the human girl. They knew that she had seen them and they had confirmed there suspicions. She knew the man her employer was after. They yelled out to her as one of them drew gun. The crowded market impeded there speed but the appeared to be drawing closer.

Her eyes came upon the man then, almost by happenstance. Sitting there looking at a holopad, probably planning out his next move. Lairiel came to a stop - and then heard a shout from behind herself. 'You have to be kriffing kidding me', she thought to herself as she checked over her shoulder. Two thugs, one of whom had drawn out his pistol - clearly following her, as well. And drawing attention to her from - her eyes returned to Devuhn, who was looking at the shouting thugs and then following their gaze to Lairiel, then looking back towards the drawn weapon. He stood then and quickly started away, looking back over his shoulder.

Lairiel let out a rather colorful string of curses then as she started after the man; there was no use hiding now, he clearly had made her thanks to her new 'friends'. She drew her own pistol out as she started to chase the man, just so that she could shoot back if the ones behind her tried to take any shots at her. And so she could shoot Devuhn if the opportunity presented itself.

The men ran watching the girl race after another man. They slammed out of the crowd the trail of destruction slowly begin filled up by people, none of which would ever do anything with there lives. The man with the pistol drawn stopped for a second aiming down the barrel of the gun to fire. It was obvious she was friend with the man Selona was after. The other man while running radioed in what they had learned. Selona had been going from building to building looking but the moment he learned he sent his droid off to perpare his ship. And he ran. He ran like he had never run before.
