Garrett felt the blow hit his face, he wasn't ready for it, but that was about to change.
He did a backflip to about 5 paces away from his master, but he stayed low, ready for the next blow.

"If you can see, attack me Padawan," Josh instructed Garrett. He also used the Force to mess with his mind; implementing thoughts of Leo in his head. The man may be able to see. But for how long could he keep it sustained while being attacked physically and mentally? This would test how well his connection with the Force really is.

Flashes of Leo filled his mind, Garrett's thoughts began to race, his parents, his brother, killing Leo, bad thoughts, thoughts he was not going to be able to hold back for long, he knew what his master was trying.

Garrett's vision was beginning to flicker, only able to see spurts of his master in front of him. He clenched his neck muscles tight and tried to keep the images out, to little avail.
Before his last bit of sight left him Garrett flung himself threw the air, a front-flip kick towards Master Drake accompanied by a yell.

Irrational move by his Padawan. Josh easily dodge the attack by stepping to the side. "Padawan. You fight irrationally. One should NEVER fling its body through the air like that. Especially if you can't see. If you can not see, you use your hearing. If you can't use either, you use the Force. You might be able to see, but your connection with the Force is weak. We will have to work on that," as he spoke to Garrett he used the Force to enhance his speed, mute his footsteps, and project his voice from across the room. His right shoulder would land squarely in the middle of Garrett's chest.

Garrett took in the works, just as he felt an elbow to the chest that sent him flying towards the wall which Garrett was able to plant his feet against and push off, then flip his body around in the air, flying towards where he could feel his master, as he was soaring towards him his vision was beginning to come back, but he was nowhere to be seen, Garrett had heard of force speed before but never seen it in action.

He landed on the ground and skidded to a halt, he had flown through nothing, Garrett's face shot towards the basket of apples used for training, then his hand followed suit, the force wrapped around each individual apple, there had to be atleast a dozen, and sent them flying sporadically around the room, each would go in a different direction.

Another irrational move by his Padawan. He was throwing his body around like a rag-doll. He would learn. Hopefully. He then watched him use the apples as some sort of attack. However, the attack yielded no results as Josh used the Force to stop the apples in the air, then send them straight back at Garrett.

"Tell me Padawan. Do you want to keep telling me you can see? Or do you want to train to strengthen your connection with the Force?"

Garrett expected this move, he saw the apples come back to him, and he sent a surge of force power right back through them, hurling them back in the direction that his master hopefully was.
"I am going to prove to you that I am able to see."
He focused his mind and was sure that he saw his Master, the true implement of his force was the table that the apples had been resting upon, he lifted up the table and held it in front of him as a sort of make-shift shield.

Garrett reached out to the Mess Hall, he let his mind wrap around a series of lunch trays and brought them into the room, he now had a large table and five lunch trays at his disposal.
"I'm just getting warmed up."

Once again, the apples came at Josh. He stopped them once again, but this time, he guided the apples behind Garrett, coming at his back. He watched him use the small table as a make shift shield. He also used the Force to bring in five lunch trays from the mess hall to use at his disposal. Josh intensified the images he implanted in Garrett's mind.

'Trying to prove yourself is noble. But it is also stupid. You are pushing yourself too much when we've just started training. I know you're eager to prove yourself. But you will be able to prove yourself in due time Padawan. Patience is key.'

Garrett could feel the apples behind him, he swung the table around back of him, letting the apples splatter against it and threw the trays out around him, as he did the apples earlier.

His sight was beginning to wain, things were beginning to cut-out from longer distances, he was getting near-sighted.
"I need to prove myself, I have shown my patience already."

'Proving yourself will only get you killed. You do what you know. Trying to do something you can not, will only bring shame, or even death to you and your comrades. The Jedi don't need 'hot shots'. They need smart, patient, obedient, bodies,' he said, using the Force to project his voice as if he was right behind Garrett. As for the trays, Josh used the Force to expel them out the windows of the training room.

Garrett let a small smirk flick across his face, he had been waiting for this.
"Gotcha."
He shot his right arm back to wrap around his master's leg and his left arm shot out towards the wall, force pushing Garrett and hopefully his master along with him against the wall with extreme force, if his Master was behind him he would bear the brunt of the damage.

Josh watched as Garrett Force Pushed himself into the Durastell wall. He lowered his head and rubbed the bridge of his nose. 'Get up. We are done for the day. Don't come back to this room until you're done proving yourself,' Josh said as he exited the room.

Garrett felt an immense pain, he heard his master's words and felt him leave the room.
"Damn it!" he yelled and slammed his fist against the wall. At the last second Garrett manipulated the force to put a small cushion between himself and the wall, to protect his hand.

He grabbed the back of the bandanna and pull it off his face, he kept it gripped tight around his hand and ran towards the window, he tucked his knees up to his chest so he could jump through the window and then bent his knees to land.

Garrett ran and ran, it got to the point where he was going through nothing but thick trees and shrubbery. He saw a small lake in front of him and dove right into it, he pierced the surface of the water and quickly touched the bottom of the lake, the water was ice cold, Garrett could quickly feel his core temperature dropping and he shot back up to the surface of the water before dragging himself onto the ground.

It was beginning to get dark, Garrett was freezing and he felt bad about earlier, it was now pitch black and he took the bandanna from the ground and tied it back around his face. He was now in a completely foreign environment and was relying only on the force to guide his way, he was letting it wrap around the trees and he was painting the image in his mind, it was as if he was seeing in the day, but some things slipped his consciousness. Garrett would trip on the occasional downed log or large rock. His damn pants were now ripped, he could feel blood running down his leg from his torn ankle, his palms were full of small bits of wood from twigs and tree branches, blood was running from his hands down his wrists and arms.

Garrett was beginning to see better. As he slowly made his way through the woods he was using the force to lift a tree branch out of the way to allow him access through, or to push a rock out of his way as he took the direct path back to the temple.

He could feel the heat of the rising sun and knew it must be early morning. Garrett was beginning to get the hang on Force Sight much better, he was now at a full run and able to see everything. The environment, the obstacles, and even a good distance ahead of him all while being able to use the force to also manipulate the environment around him to aid him in his journey.

After many hours of travel Garrett came back to the window of the training room. While still blindfolded he jumped and grabbed on to a small rock outcropping from the wall, flung himself vertically from that to the window ledge, then flipped into the training room. He was starving, wet, cold, bloody and beaten, but he felt ready for a full day of training, he felt more rejuvenated than he ever had before.

When Josh made his way to the training room the next morning, he could sense his Padawan already there. Maybe he had came to his senses and realized he didn't have to prove ANYTHING. In the Jedi, you don't have to prove nothing. If you are strong in the Force, you're strong in the Force. If you're not, well you're not. And a Jedi Master could easily spot if the subject in question was capable of actually being a Jedi.

When he entered the training room his Padawan was in the middle of the room. He was wet, clothes tore up, stunk, and was bleeding from unknown locations. It looked like the kid had been through hell. He stopped walking, and just looked at Garrett.

'So,' he started to break the ice. 'You're done proving yourself. Correct? Otherwise, you're just wasting your time. And mine,' he said as he walked towards Garrett.

[OOC: Sorry for not being as active today. I had to work the mid shift today and will do the same tomorrow. However, I have Saturday off so we'll be able to finish everything by then if we don't by Friday night.]

"I realized some things, out there." Garrett pointed out the window as he spoke.
"I'm sorry for how I acted, the thoughts of the past, plus my need to prove that I am not useless, It just overtook me, it will not happen again."

He wiped some blood off his forehead with the back of his hand.
"I made my way back here using just my Force Sight."

'If you were useless,' Josh said as he stopped next to Garrett, 'the Force wouldn't of brought you here,' he said as he put his left hand on Garrett's left shoulder, then spun right, in towards Garrett with his right elbow heading towards Garrett's face. If the man did indeed find his way back through the forest just by using Force Sight, he'd easily be able to block this attack.

Garrett quickly saw the blow coming and tucked his head down into his chest, as his master's elbow flew overhead Garrett's left leg tried to sweep under Joshua's right, hoping to knock him to the ground as his head also attempted to slam into his master's chest.

'Better,' Josh said as he picked himself up from the floor of the Temple. 'Now. Take the bandana off,' he said as he waited for Garrett to do so. 'Look in the room behind us. Tell me what you see.'

In the room behind them it was actually empty. However, Josh used the Force to manipulate sounds of two people sparring, and also made two presences with the Force. That way, if Garrett just tried to use the Force to feel if anybody was in the other room and not use Force Sight, he'd be wrong.

Garrett slowly untied the black bandana and let it fall to the floor.
'Good riddance.' he thought, but he was very glad he went through with the training, he felt accomplished.

Garrett turned and let his mind reach out, he could feel two people, practicing? it sure seemed so.
He let his mind open up, he began to see the walls, the floor, but no people.
"I see.. a room.."
Garrett was hesitant.
"You hid something from me?"

'You just see an empty room? You hesitated. Are you sure you just see an empty room?'
