Sounds like a you problem

It called a corvette but in the class it called it listed as freighter. That is where it matters. A name is a name
The necessary edits have been made. I also relocated the Frigate section.

Only because you're making it my problem.

Everyone uses the x-class y formula for ships. X is the name. Y is the class. There are some variations on this, but the X and Y don't change.

Sounds like a you problem

It says 'Freighter' in the 'Class' section.....
I just took another look at the ship, it doesn't say anywhere that it's a Corvette. I really don't know where I pulled "corvette" out of.

Because you are a foooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool.
A FOOL I SAY SIR, A FOOOOL.

Or....maybe, because you had been to busy making this frankly awesome list, and thus a mistake got through :)
It isn't a problem, and in my view, it should not be treated as such.

I like this list, @Shalken is someone to be thanked for doing it, no criticized for one minor error.

FREIGHTERS!

Seriously, people have created so many freighters. I can guarantee that at least two or three of them have practically the same stats and could be interchangeable with each other.

This is what I call the "Millennium Falcon Syndrome." Everyone looks at the famous ship from the original trilogy and thinks, "Wow, that ship is amazing! It was fast, it had good guns, and it could do everything. It was a freighter, so I'll make my ship a freighter too!"
What people need to understand is that a freighter is designed to carry freight. Cargo. They're meant for and transporting goods through space. This means that said ship should not have enough guns and/or armour to take on three starfighters at once. Freighters are not combat ships. Their guns should be used as a self-defense mechanism, and only to distract opponents as the freighter escapes combat. If a freighter does have a lot of armour and guns, then it should be much slower and larger, or take a hit to its carrying capacity.

In my humble opinion, the only people that should have a justifiable reason to use a freighter are smugglers, traders, and merchants that would actually need to carry a lot of cargo. Your average joe spacefarer really has no need for one of these ships. If you're looking for a generic ship just to jump across the galaxy, a freighter is not what you're looking for. I would recommend a shuttle or a yacht instead. Yachts are fairly luxurious in their living space, and are still able to have a small cargo capacity and a few guns. Perhaps you're looking for something with better combat capabilities, then I'd recommend a starfighter or interceptor. Both ship types are suitable for travel, and even if they don't have their own hyperdrive systems, there is already a tech submission for a hyperdrive ring that both can use.

Another note on tech submissions in general, or perhaps just a reminder. Before you go and create a writeup, take a look at all the existing tech. Don't bother looking at the pictures, just look at the stats of the tech. If its stats and capabilities seem fitting to you, but you don't like the look of the tech, then go find another that you like and use that instead. This is what I call the "Counts As" rule.

For example, my character Lesovikk Faust owns an interceptor. Now, I wanted to use the stats of the R.A.I., but I wanted it to look different, so I just searched for a ship I liked and used that image instead. This is perfectly acceptable. As long as the picture you're using is reasonably similar to the original, then you can feel free to do so. In fact, you can even go ahead and make some minor modifications to the original on your Character Sheet or in a workshop without having to create a brand new tech writeup.

I disagree. Freighter is more a size classification in SW rather than a function description. Look at slave one, the moldy crow, the Millennium Falcon, etc. You act like "oh the movies totally got this wrong things shouldn't be like that" which is the wrong way to think.

Freighters are a nice sized ship to use for attack craft, or smuggling ships. Their size allows them to hold the generators required to operate their weapons and shields, and gives them space to mount weaponry.

I mean he'll, the Pursuer-Class was used as a patrol ship, and a guard vessel in EU, but was a freighter classification.

On SWRP the only two ships a PC can really have are Starfighters and Interceptors. And if you'd like anything more than basic laser cannons and a missle launcher, the ability to stand up, and the ability to take longer trips, freighter is your solution.

It is the go to personal vessel in SW. The whole show Rebels is based out of a freighter.

@Outlander, this is why the Anaxes System needs a re-write! The system sucks!

I disagree heavily. But I'd rather talk about it elsewhere.

If what you say is true, @Prudence, then this is another reason why I dislike Star Wars' ship classification system, besides the fact that I have yet to see a properly laid out chart of ship sizes. Perhaps I am so entrenched in EVE Online's ship classification system that "freighter" to me automatically means a cargo-carrier ship instead of a size class. Naming a ship size as a Freighter to me seems odd and somewhat ridiculous. If you can point out to me exactly where a Freighter is listed as a ship size and not a role, then that would be great.

Also, out of the five ships you mentioned, only the Millennium Falcon, the Moldy Crow, and what I presume you meant was Ghost (I've never watched Rebels) are classified on Wookieepedia as Freighters. Even then, Ghost is a modified freighter, and from what I've heard about Rebels, it sounds like they had to work with what they were given. I also don't know much about the Moldy Crow, but from what I can gather from the wiki, its owner became attached to it and used it for multiple situations besides carrying cargo. I'm not saying Freighters have to be used exclusively for carrying cargo and that they can't do anything else, but that's what they were primarily meant to do.

they are the best size but they don't need to be a freight per say

I feel i need to reference the canon on wookieepedia. Link here.

It clearly says:

"A freighter, cargo ship, or barge was a kind of spacecraft used for hauling cargo from one place to another. Although light freighters could usually hold their own in combat against other fighter craft, larger vessels tended to be less capable. These large freighters could be easy targets considering their large size, slow speed, and weak armament. For this reason most heavy freighters required escorts when navigating more dangerous regions of the galaxy.[1] Some notable freighters include the Millennium Falcon and the Ghost.[1][2]"

Sorry Prudii, but it's not just the size. A freighter is a 'class' of ship. If you want a ship that can hunt other ships and be a floating weapons system, i would propose that 'gunship' is a more accurate term.

Needless to say, i agree with @Shalken

By the way, I'll be making some generic battle droids in the workshops section of the forums. More unique ones will go in the tech section.

Yo I got a question? @Jabonicus About the wrist mounted lightsabers, couldn't they theoretically be a usable weapon for non-force sensitive characters? I mean since they're attached to the wrist and is mainly a thrusting weapon. You don't really need a lot of training or the force to be able to stab with it.

While you're technically correct, acquiring a lightsaber would be the most difficult part. From what I gather, lightsabers are hard to find apart from the Jedi or the Sith. Though, I suppose it would be possible for a SBZ character to get one from the Sith somehow.

I made a freighter that way my charrie could carry a starfighter in it, so yeah, I did it to actually travel stuff.
