"So how goes the helping of the innocent tonight? I noticed you had one Jedi in attendance, he must be a riot at these things. I hope all is well on the donation front, and that it is used well. You know how some elite can be, donate 75% of it and pocket the other 25%. Let's all drink to well spent money on helping others, when there is no gain for ones self." He said the last part of it in a joking manor, or what seemed to be one. If you listened closely you could tell something was off with his tone, but not what was. He smiled at the group and lifted up a glass from the server droid, toasted every and drank it down. Most people would feel intimidated by his race, but Jace was trying to come off as friendly and funny.

"How? Have I been followed? Was there a spy? Did Aren......no, he would never do that." Arritef though in rapid-fire, mind moving a million miles an hour. "I must have slipped up." He thought, mentally berating himself for his failure. "I will have to tread more carefully. How could this man possibly know? What makes him special? Does he have anything to do with that feeling a few moments ago?" Arritef stopped for a moment to calm himself, and gradually brought himself back to reality. While his lapse in focus had only lasted a scant few seconds, any longer and it could be enough to bring suspicion, and the last thing he wanted was to seem guilty.

Arritef cocked his head at an angle. "I was not informed of any Jedi being present at this party." He said, flipping a switch on his emotional skills and slipping into a perfectly confused expression. "I was under the impression that force-sensitives were not well-liked. It would be foolish to attend knowing this." He said with slight concern. "It would be a shame for anything to escalate into discord. This party is meant to be a peaceful gathering." He said, furrowing his eyebrows as one deep in thought.

Arritef watched for the man's reaction. His reaction here could tell so much about the man. This single response could tell Arritef what he knows, or at least what he wants everyone to think he knows. He would have to collaborate later with Aren on this issue. Arritef suppressed all remaining doubt and worry, and took on a confident facade. He has been too careful in hiding this scrap of information for it to be revealed at the improper time. Like always, he will not lose.

Aren returned the hand shake with an equal amount of grace. "It's a pleasure to meet you Mr. Price. I have often seen and heard of your company during my time spent on Coruscant. It's an honor to meet you."

He waved down a waiter walking nearby and retrieved a glass of champagne, taking a sip of it. He nodded at the compliments to the Gala. "I'm glad to hear such! I find it my moral responsibility to take care of those that carry the backbone of our economy. Now Mr. Price, how might I help you?" He skipped straight to the point, knowing this man had not sought him out and waited to speak with him just to compliment his gala.
Davian was almost over the moon, so to speak, with joy that the senator had even heard of his fuel company. He had no idea it was well-known in any sense and swelled with pride in his business.
Coming back to himself, Davian took a quick sip of his drink and cleared his throat. "Ah yes, well although the fuel business is booming, I'd like to expand PriceCorp into the field of ship manufacturing." He put up his hands almost defensively. "Not, of course, to encroach on your business by any means. I'd like to start small on Coruscant, as the venture does need plenty of capital. As you're the owner of such an accomplished ship manufacturing company, I would love to hear any advice you might have in the field for an aspiring CEO like myself."

Aren smiled "I see, of course. I'd be pleased to help you any way that I can. Perhaps you could schedule an appointment with my office and we could formally meet sometime this week?"

Davian smiled back and nodded appreciatively. "Absolutely. I won't be keeping you any longer as I'm sure you're quite busy this evening." He offered his hand once more, "Once again, it was a pleasure. I'll see you soon, senator."

Jace smiled as he heard this and watched as the man hesitated a few seconds. To most it would seem like a second, but to a force user it was a life time. He could feel that this person had started to panic then got himself under control. It was odd though, everything was rapid fire one minute and calm and ready the next.

It was pretty impressive to tell the truth, this person could be a great help with his cause. He would have to play it by ear and see where it goes,

"How odd that you didn't notice him already. I have never known Jedi to be disliked by good people. Gemerally only those that have ill intent don't like them. Are you telling me that most here are of ill intent? And here I was thinking this was a party for those in need, though with the expense of this party would have better spent on those in need."

Jace started smiling as if he was joking about the last part. A
gain he is relying in his charm to get his point across. If they didn't like Jedi it was because they were either bad guys or those that fear the force because they can't understand it. Bad guys he could deal with, but those that feared the force were sad. He couldn't stand those that feared something they couldn't understand.

Arritef locked eyes with the man, having had his initial suspicion confirmed. He knew. This man knew. He could see it in his eyes. This was currently a game of cat and mouse to him. He gave no indication still that he knew of the man's awareness, though he suspected the man had noticed his momentary hesitation.

"Oh? And who might this force-sensitive Jedi figure be?" He asked. "I assure you, I bear no ill will towards any force-user without provocation." Arritef said honestly. "I ask only out of curiosity and desire for knowledge. After all, as head of security for Mr. Krass, it is my job to know who is at a party arranged by him."

"That extremely tall gentleman over there. The one that towers over everyone, yet no one seem scared of him. Generally when someone is that large and tall most are scared at first sight of them. But no one is here as if they can feel at ease and comfortable with him, it's one of the traits of a Jedi."

Jace casually points out the jedi in the corner of the room. He smiles as he does so as to seem like he was not calling him out just making an observation. Jace turns back to the group and readies the second part.

"And by Head of Security do you mean the one who cleans up his messes. That is usually what hapoens, I bet you onow where all the bodies are hidden am I right?"

Jace smiles at the man in front of him, as he realized he didn't know his name at all.

"So what's your name?"

"Ahh. It is good to know how to pick them out." Arritef said. "By head of security I mean that I make sure there are no messes to clean up in the first place. Of course, there is the occasional incident, but that should not be a problem here." Arritef wasn't liking him much. He seemed so conniving and snide. The man seemed overly confident in his own social capabilities, and it came across as almost cheeky.

"My name is Arritef Selanus. And yours?" He responded

"I am Jaceson Lightsworn, you may call me Jace. Well that is good to know that I wouldn't want there to be a likely chance that something bad would go down tonight. That would not be what's best for the those in need, but you should always be aware of the force sensitive in the room. You never know what they can do or what they may be up to."

Jace smiled at them and offered out his hand. Thinking that this man was starting not to like him so much, maybe he was laying it on a little too thick. He might want to dial it back a lot, the force pulse earlier seemed to really put this one on edge. Maybe now is not the best time to push him, he would have to see how far he could be pushed later. Those test were always interesting if not harsh, but always worth it in the end.

Arritef took the proffered hand without question, knowing that to refuse would be all too obvious. "It is good to meet you, Jace." He said. "I feel I should point out that I my seeming hostility towards force-sensitives is only in the interest of professional conduct. I have found that most if not all of the ones I have dealt with in the past tend to be verging on extremist. Now, should I meet a more civil Jedi or Sith, however unlikely it would be to find one of the latter type, I would be more inclined to take their presence at a party such as this one without prejudice."

Arritef had gathered what he needed. He was all but certain this man was a force-sensitive individual. He didn't know necessarily which side he belonged to, but he was almost certain the man was not as simple as he appeared. His somewhat aggressive stand against the prejudice Arritef had intentionally shown against force users had all but confirmed it. Perhaps he was just a man with a political cause he was particularly avid about, but Arritef had found that such investment in a cause tended to come from emotion, and there could be no better reason to have that emotion than sentiment and love in the Force.

"If you would like we could perhaps talk more on this matter at a later date, tomorrow even." Arritef offered. While this was for largely for the purpose of gathering more information about a possibly dangerous ally or enemy, there was always that nagging curiosity that Arritef had regarding the Force. He wanted to learn to use his power, and while he had been making slow progress in his endeavors, it was nothing compared to what he would like to know. "I am free at any time after 11:00 hours tomorrow, Corellia time. I must go over some defense reports before that time, but after that I would be intrigued to learn more about your cause."

Arritef let himself settle into a slightly more relaxed position. Now that the slight hostilities of information gathering had died down, he no longer had reason to feel threatened at the moment. At this point it was up to Lightsworn. Arritef had made his move, and the game was now afoot.

Jace smiled at Arritef, he knew Arritef was taking the taking the bait. He seemed a littke too eager with his back petaling he had just done. But that was fine with him he could use that, he would use that.

"That sounds good to me, so send me the cordinates to my holocommincator. I will let you get back to watching out for your Senator, you have been a bit distracted for a few minutes here."

Jace laughed as he offered him his hand.

Arritef smiled back, giving the man a handshake once again. "He probably thinks I've been reeled in." Arritef thought. "Hopefully tomorrow's meeting will confirm his intentions, as well as what he knows about the force, perhaps." Arritef nodded to the man and turned back to Aren. He grabbed Aren's elbow, slightly guiding him away from the man and towards the speech platform. "So what all did you hear of our conversation?" He asked.
